Houston Hillel is The only egalitarian, inclusive, and pluralistic Jewish campus organization in Southeast Texas.

We welcome LGBTQ+ participants and those from interfaith backgrounds. We do this locally for young professionals, and on more than a dozen campuses north and south from Stephen F. Austin State University to A&M Galveston, and east and west from Lamar University to Blinn College.

Thanks to your generosity, we provide opportunities for Jewish growth, engage our participants with Israel, and connect them to the local Jewish community.

Houston Hillel is a regional, multi-campus Hillel Foundation that engages undergraduates primarily at Rice University and the University of Houston. We also support Jewish students at more than a dozen schools in Southeast Texas.

Jewston is Houston Hillel’s community for Jewish twentysomethings - young professionals and graduate students between the ages of 21 and 29. Houston Hillel is one of only a few Hillel Foundations with a separately branded program for twentysomethings. We engage them with Judaism at a time when many lose touch with Jewish life.

Launched in early 2022, QJews provides an affirming environment where Houston’s queer Jews in their twenties and thirties can feel a sense of belonging.
