Pedestrians and cyclists are particularly vulnerable in crashes. Recent statistics for the Upper Midwest show that nearly 1 in 20 crashes with a pedestrian resulted in a fatality. While cyclists fare slightly better, they remain far more prone to injury and fatalities than motorists. Reducing these numbers and improving safety has been a top priority for community leaders and Houston Engineering, Inc.
