Funding for COVID Treatment and Vaccines Comes to a Halt! WHAT: The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) stopped accepting claims from healthcare providers for COVID-19 testing and treatment on March 22 and will stop accepting vaccination claims on April 5. The NAACP Houston Branch is urging the Harris County congressional delegation to continue funding COVID-19 medical treatment and vaccination for the uninsured.

The NAACP Houston Branch is committed to advocating and serving our most vulnerable communities, who will experience the most adverse impact due to the loss of COVID-19 medical services. To that end, the NAACP Houston Branch is hosting a forum for its membership to hear from its congressional members, Harris County and City of Houston leadership and their respective healthcare agencies to receive information and develop solutions to care of our most vulnerable citizens. Branch members and local media representatives will have an opportunity to ask questions. The NAACP Houston Branch will develop its call to action based on feedback from this forum.
