I usually say that New York is such a powerful city that if you don’t move fast enough it will Swallow you. But if you are in Brooklyn...

I visit the Big Apple sometimes right before the first snow fall. This year I found a great deal in tickets and decided to do it in April, right before the heat of Summer came along. For my surprise, the weather was just perfect with blue skies, cool breeze and it all contributed for a great stay, with amazing moments, that will never be forgotten.

A complete unexpected vision of beauty.

I was amazed by the Cherry Trees , flowers and sceneries. The Cherry Blossom were blooming, what an amazing view of color and vibrancy. I learned from a local that they bloom also in Japan at the same time and for this reason, I believe a great part of the Japanese community was at the park, having the time of their lives remembering home and celebra ting the trees and the season.

Tree house architect Roderick Romero created a new site-specific installation at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardensusing wood from trees fallen by Hurricane Sandy.

It is kind of an observatory where you can look around the gardens and rest for a moment.

Art’s most ambitious commissioned outdoor sculpture Mad. Sq. Art. The outdoor sculpture, which will consist of 500 running feet of golden, mirror-polished discs that create canopies above the pathways around the Park’s central Oval Lawn,

In nature, a Fata Morgana is a horizontal mirage that forms across the horizon line. Alluding to this phenomenon,Fernández’s project introduces a shimmering horizontal element to the Park that will engage visitors in a dynamic experience. The installation is a mirror-polished, golden metal sculpture that will hover above the Park’s winding walkways to define a luminous experiential passage for Park visitors.

The metal forms, perforated with intricate patterns reminiscent of foliage, will create abstract flickering effects as sunlight filters through the canopy, casting a golden glow across the expanse of the work, paths, and passersby.

The project is Mad. Sq. Art’s first to fully utilize the upper register of a visitor’s space. Everywhere you look you will find this mirrored re-

flection of madson square. As you could read, the sculpture is not ready yet but the work is under intense progress and I had the desire to show you what I saw. It is really magnificent. to see this suspend aereal wirror sculptures, mixed with the NY sky, and our own reflection.

The US has many fantastic bridges.

The architectural harmony of its monuments is amazing, They defy natural beauty, offering an incomparable contrast, and in addition to it they create an icon to each place , where they are constructed.

Since I was in New York I wanted to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, but besides the extent of the task, and lack of time, we (my kids and I) deci ded to cross the Williamsburg Bridge.

The Williamsburg Bridge is a suspension bridge in New York City across the East River connecting the Lower East Side of Manhattan at Delancey Street with the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn at Broadway near the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway. People, Bicycles, Train and cars use the bridge, and it has the highest bicycle traffic in the US. It dates from 1896 when construction started and it was opened in 1903. Today the bridge is 112 years old.

The entire bridge is 7,308 feet (2,227 m) long between cable anchor terminals, and the deck is 118 feet (36 m) wide. The height at the center of the bridge is 135 feet (41 m) and each tower is 310 feet (94 m),[9][10] measurements being taken from the river’s surface at high-water mark.

8-9 de maio de 1945. Dia da Vitória ―VE Day ― dos Aliados, com a rendição incondicional da Alemanha, que encerrou a Segunda Grande Guerra na Europa. A guerra asiática ainda se prolongou com as batalhas no Pacífico e terminou após o lançamento pelos Estados Unidos das bombas atômicas em Hiroshima e Nagasaki, respectivamente nos dias 06 e 09 de agosto de 1945, resultando na capitulação do Império do Japão. Tudo foi e representou uma grande tragédia para a humanidade!!!

re-inventar os laços entre os homens e, de certo modo, fazernos tributário de um presente do passado a ser individual ou coletivamente partilhado. Entre esquecimentos e lembranças, entre caminhos e descaminhos da vida, os homens celebram um mesmo episódio, ou um fato ou, ainda, uma vida segundo uma dada visão de mundo, uma certa forma de ver e apreender as coisas, pois guardam consigo os registros impressos no e pelos tempos-espaços em que viveram ou vivem. Por isso, cada narrativa desvela não apenas o que nós somos, construímos, sentimos ou vemos, mas também aquilo que ignoramos e silenciamos acerca da realidade, embora nem sempre tão consciente ou previsível assim.

Interessante dizer que dois momentos marcaram a assinatura do ato de rendição incondicional da Alemanha, que abriu mão de qualquer garantia, inclusive aquelas prescritas pelas leis do Direito Internacional. Tendo como referência a existência humana lavrada no tempo histórico, a celebração do Dia da Vitória presentifica o luto a ser partilhado em nome de uma “ferida coletiva”, que, pela dimensão do sofrimento, precisa ser continuamente lembrado, a fim de não do líder soviético Josef Stálin. Para o líder, o ato de rendição se transmutar em matéria-prima do esquecimento. incondicional deveria ser assinado no coração do Terceiro Reich (já ocupado pelas tropas soviéticas), e contar com a participação de todos os países que formaram a aliança. As discussões territoriais ainda estavam em curso e Berlim (dividido em quatro zonas de ocupação de 1945 a 1949) representava uma área estratégica à segurança geopolítica de ambos os lados. Se nós clamamos por referências para imaginar o mundo e nele viver, sonhar, resistir e lutar, nunca precisamos tanto da memória coletiva enquanto âncora e plataforma, conforme aponta Hugo Lovisolo (1989). Assim como, ambiciona homenagear/conservar a vida e imortalizar a morte ― contrários que expressam metáforas da guerra. Na Europa Ocidental, as comemorações nacionais aconteceram no dia 8 de maio, o que sacraliza uma dada memória da guerra. Memória que, de um lado, conjuga-se ao ideal de uma Europa livre, democrática e em paz, fundada na libertação do continente mediante a derrota do nazismo e reafirmada pela conquista da integração continental: a União Europeia. E, de outro, à consagração do compromisso na defesa de valores e princípios que sempre foram caros à civilização ocidental e estavam ameaçados pelo “Império dos Mil Anos” projetado pelo Terceiro Reich de Adolph Hitler. Por sua vez, a Rússia, recuperando a tradição das demonstrações de poder, organizou um desfile oficial na Praça Vermelha, em Moscou, no dia 9 de maio, mostrando ao mundo a exuberância tecnológica de seu arsenal militar. Enquanto o discurso de Vladimir Putin enfatizou a participação soviética na vitória da Grande Guerra Patriótica, no bojo da decisiva aliança político militar assinada entre os Estados Unidos e a ex-URSS. Aliança esta que foi hiperbolizada enquanto exemplo a ser seguido, não por acaso em um contexto histórico de fortes tensões diplomáticas com o Ocidente por força da anexação da península da Crimeia à Rússia e do envolvimento do país nos conflitos separatistas no leste da Ucrânia. Ações de força que, ao olharmos criticamente para trás, identificam-se tanto ao projeto geopolítico da URSS, quanto o da Rússia Czarista, já que ambos almejavam consolidar uma ponte entre a Europa Oriental, os estreitos de Dardanelos e Bósforo e o seu território. No âmbito das relações internacionais, importa salientar a ausência propositiva de representantes dos países ocidentais na comemoração russa, minimizando o legado histórico do pacto firmado com a ex-URSS na guerra contra o Eixo e desvendando, de certo maneira, o isolamento conjuntural da Rússia ― Barack Obama (presidente dos Estados Unidos), David Cameron (Primeiro-Ministro Britânico) e François Hollande (presidente francês) declinaram do

busca amplificar conquistas ou minimizar antagonismos e/ ou desafios do presente para silenciar os temores frente a uma perspectiva futura ainda incerta e nebulosa, rememorando o que já está invisível ao nosso olhar; mas que, em tempos pretéritos, foi testemunho das disputas de poder e das relações de força.

Acima de qualquer coisa, as comemorações do 8-9 de maio de 1945 convidam-nos a repensar os destinos da humanidade, indissociáveis das condições de vida do planeta, em uma atitude de claro enfrentamento desse presente do passado, tendo como eixo a realidade histórica do após-guerra, que se desenhou cada vez mais intensa, brutal e cheia de contradições, adversidades e inimizade, em meio a uma crise política e ético-moral vinculada grosso modo ao esgotamento do modelo civilizatório. A paz mundial, a autodeterminação dos povos e os direitos humanos moldaram, desde então, uma linguagem política universal voltada à preservação da ordem internacional instituída e à salvaguarda dos interesses vitais das potências. As guerras – deslocadas para outras territorialidades – são divulgadas a todo o instante, demonstrando como matar mais rápido e em menos tempo mediante a utilização de tecnologias de grande porte, sem

precedentes na história. Da mesma maneira que se ampliam outras formas de destruição omitidas pelos pronunciamentos oficiais e até mesmo pelas vozes da imprensa: a morte de milhares de crianças, mulheres e homens pela presença cotidiana e perversa da fome, da miséria, das doenças; assim como a devastação dos ecossistemas que vêm ameaçando as diferentes formas de vida e a sustentabilidade planetária. Portanto, como compreender (o que não significa esquecer ou perdoar) os caminhos históricos e as opções políticas, nacionais e internacionais, que foram sendo convite. Fatos que esclarecem como os rituais comemorativos construídas desde 1945 até a nossa contemporaneidade? dizem muito da história em tempos de memória!

Dois acontecimentos do século XX merecem destaque, uma vez que mudaram radicalmente os rumos da humanidade: as guerras mundiais e a ascensão e queda da URSS. A História em tempos de Memória Comemorações do 8-9 de maio de 1945 A Segunda Grande Guerra resultou, sem sombra de dúvida, em alterações de grande impacto nos cenários mundial e nacionais no século XX, nas quais se destacou abipolaridade Leste versus Oeste; a hegemonia dos Estados Unidos da América, sustentada grosso modo pelo seu poderio econômico, político e militar, que definiu uma rede de parcerias e alargou os mecanismos de dependência no mundo capitalista e, ainda, o fim da dominação europeia com os movimentos de libertação na África e na Ásia seguidos de prolongadas guerras civis. A reedificação da Europa Ocidental e do Japão, arrasados pela guerra, ajudou a consolidar a hegemonia estadunidense, tendo em vista garantir a segurança do mundo livre diante da ameaça comunista.

Ao final dos anos 1960 e já na primeira década dos anos 1970, começaram a aparecer as vicissitudes históricas da Guerra Fria e os resultados danosos da corrida armamentista, que moldou um equilíbrio planetário assentado sob o poder de mútua destruição entre Estados Unidos e União Soviética e implicou largos e contínuos investimentos na formação de complexos industriaismilitares. Os movimentos pacifistas começaram a se avolumar, a exemplo do Green Peace, acompanhando os debates em torno da política pró-desarmamento nuclear. Por seu turno, o longo ciclo ascendente da economia capitalista haveria de se encerrar, sob a perplexidade de muitos, apontando para uma grave recessão econômica e o endividamento (em maior ou menor grau) dos Estados. A este quadro histórico sombrio, se seguiu a ofensiva neoconservadora sob o mote do neoliberalismo, a partir da década de 1980, que tantos males vem trazendo a humanidade, ao acirrar as contradições entre Norte e Sul e resultar em desdobramentos sociais negativos, senão cruéis, em várias partes do planeta.

antagonismos políticos ideológicos que apartaram por muitas décadas povos e países e ainda persistem sob outras linguagens.

E, no avesso dessa mesma história, a liderança soviética no front oriental da guerra foi determinante para garantir a capitulação da Alemanha Nazista, merecendo ênfase a histórica Batalha de Stalingrado. Minimizada pelo Ocidente por força das circunstâncias históricas do após-guerra, a entrada da ex-URSS na guerra ao lado dos Aliados salvou, na longa duração do tempo, a ordem capitalista e as democracias burguesas do Ocidente da destruição. E, ainda hoje, desvela as disputas da memória coletiva acerca das datas, dos eventos e dos homens que devem corporificar o panteão da história.

Transcorrido mais de meio século dos rastros de destruição, desolação e enlutamento deixados pela Segunda Guerra Mundial, como compreender o que ocorreu e ainda vem ocorrendo em várias regiões do mundo, nas quais povos, etnias ou minorias culturais estão sendo massacrados? A chamada globalização integra e une economicamente os quatro cantos do planeta, ampliando em larga escala a concentração do grande capital; por outro, os nacionalismos agressivos ressurgem, hasteando a bandeira dos racismos e da intolerância contra minorias e/ou povos, expressando a recusa em aceitar o Outro. Refiro-me, em particular, à retomada da crença da superioridade de um povo, de uma raça ou de um grupo sobre outros, tocando o projeto biopolítico do Terceiro Reich, cujo discurso ainda seduz e mobiliza sentimentos e desejos individuais e coletivos. Os imigrantes, por exemplo, tornam-se aqueles estrangeiros indesejáveis, que ora servem como mão-de-obra barata, ora como bodes expiatórios, responsáveis pelos problemas econômicos e sociais dos países e, por isso, alvo de ataques de nacionalistas radicais e/ou da exclusão social.

E, do lado de lá, o Kremlin, liderado por Gorbatchev, ainda buscava a preservação, enfrentando os desdobramentos da grave crise econômica e política do “socialismo real”, os movimentos contestatórios no Leste europeu e as lutas das nacionalidades oprimidas. No mesmo compasso em que ruiu o Muro de Berlim, em 1989 ― símbolo mais contundente da divisão do planeta pós-1945 corporificada pela Guerra Fria ― o mundo assistiu ao fim da União Soviética, cuja existência foi fundamental para desenhar e definir os rumos do Século XX. A utopia da revolução social, ao apontar à possibilidade de construção de um mundo novo, inspirou lutas e movimentos sociais e formatou graves

E a “purificação étnica” passa a representar um dos ingredientes vitais às variadas formas da retórica ultranacionalista. Por sua vez, muitos povos lutam pela sua emancipação, com base nos direitos ao autogoverno, à democracia e à justiça social; o que evidencia processos de fragmentação político-institucionais envelopados, em muitos casos, pela linguagem religiosa em seus diversos matizes. O aceite de atos de extermínio e violência, destinados a anular as diferenças e as alteridades, transformase em algo legítimo, não importando no que isso implique em destruição ou brutalização da humanidade. A civilização cede lugar a barbárie!

Featuring Eliane Elias The Dr. Phillips Center and JAZZ ROOTS turned Orlando into Rio, last April, as top Brazilian jazz musicians played for a full house at the Walt Disney Theatre.

The new Brazilian sound, refined in the 50s by composers Joao Gilberto, Antonio Carlos Jobim and Dori Caymmi, combines samba and jazz to a style named Bossa Nova.

Grammy award-winner Sergio Mendes, showed his fusion of Brazilian roots with American jazz and R&B combined to create an all new sound. Mendes joined by Grammy-nominated artist Eliane Elias with a distinctive musical style, and her impressive instrumental piano jazz., opened the show and with no doubt, gave the audience exactly what they expected.

When Mr. Sergio Mendes came to stage, he played his first song and his first words to the audience were. Any Brazilians here?

With an immediate loud applause and cheer we knew not only lots of Brazilians were present, and were taking part of something greater. It was memorable. At the end, he came back made everyone stand and dance, all present were moved by the rhythm and the most powerful music in the world.

José Vicente Maté – A arte em sua transparência dia a dia Como você deu início ao conhecimento na arte laboratórios de peças decorativas e todos os dias onde a criatividade ea paixão pelo meu trabalho desempende vidro?

Bem, eu estou de segunda geração vidraceiro artesão, comecei a minha formação no sector do vidro na empresa familiar fundada por meu pai e dedicada à fabricação de vidro, técnico de laboratório. Meu espírito criativo, uma necessidade para o crescimento pessoal e profissional e minha paixão por trabalhar com vidro me levou a criar ArtesaniaMaté Art Glass. Para minha Art Glass ArtesaniaMaté não é apenas um meio, é também um modo de vida.

Foi assim que iniciei de forma completamente auto-didata no mundo da arte em vidro, mantendo em constante processo de pesquisa e aprendizagem em várias técnicas de trabalhar o vidro em quente, sendo a minha especialidade a chama trabalhando. Em 2011fui premiado em 2º lugar no Concurso Nacional de Artes em 2011 de Espanha, com a peça "fora de pista" e que em 2014 dei inicio a conferências e cursos de espaecialização na Fundação Nacional de centro de vidro na Escola de vidro em La Granja.

Ao observar suas obras é perceptível uma série de pequenos detalhes que sugerem uma dedi cação cirúrgica, nos conte como é este processo com o vidro?

Na verdade Zaza, as peças a que você se refere, como são réplicas de motos antigas são peças bastante elaboradas, tendo o cuidado de o detalhe que me leva primeiro a uma investigação e experimentação, como a dificuldade de trabalhar vidro, o que não permite correcções de erros ou força você a ser claro sobre o como, onde e de que forma a iniciar a construção e montagem de cada uma das peças que fazem de cada obra.

Alguns dos trabalhos mais difícil que eu já fiz me levou cerca de um mês de trabalho, isso nos leva à sua pergunta, o que é o mercado público ou que eu quero chegar. Os planos futuros, ver .... avançar lentamente, mas de forma constante. Estou neste momento em negociações para a realização de uma exposição em um dos centros mais importantes de Espanha em termos de vidro da arte está em causa. A idéia é fazer um tour da história da Moto, representando-o através de réplicas de vidro de motocicletas que criaram lenda ou marcaram um antes e depois do processo tecnológico dessas máquinas. In Madrid I had the great pleasure of meeting the atelier of José Vicente Maté in Guadalajara in a near"pueblo". An artist dedicated to the glass in a peculiar way.

I could not resist to present his work here. I was privileged to meet him and motivated to open new ways so we may have more arts in glass with this care.

As you started the knowledge in glass art?

Well, I'm second-generation craftsman glazier, I began my training in the glass sector in the family business founded by my father and dedicated to the manufacture of glass, laboratory technician.

My creative spirit, a need for personal and professional growth and my passion for working with glass led me to create ArtesaniaMaté Art Glass. To my ArtesaniaMaté Art Glass is not only a means, it is also a way of life.

That was how I started to a completely self-taught way in the world of art glass, keeping a constant process of research and learning in various working glass with hot techniques, my specialty be-

Conheci Lampi quando do já formatado espetáculo "De Carona", mais um desses espetáculos brilhantes de Ronaldo. Na época eu apresentava um programa na Web, o Ampla Visão, e o que o grupo fez no set foi transformador.

A idéia em construir e promover no espaço a troca de experiências artísticas, míticas, alternativas e comunitárias, surgiu depois de tanto levar porta na cara na apresentação de seus projetos ás prefeituras e empresas no Vale do Aço.

Em um rápido alegórico, suave e sincronizado "Dinamo Vivo" montaram e desmontaram um palco colorido , simples e mais do que transcendental. Acho que o set daquela emissora não havia visto algo tão parecido durante sua existência.

Como aconteceu este convite? Como foi pra voce fazer este papel? foi filmado aqui?

Refiro-me ao “White Collar Hooligans” . Lampi é ‘Cigano’ no filme ‘White Collar Hooligans’ Cigano é cafetão e lider de gang em Copacabana.

Ronaldo Lampi, nascido em Timóteo, uma cidade com um pouco mais de 81.000 habitantes. Cidade esta pertencente ao estado que trouxe ao aclamado meio musical e artístico brasileiro pedras preciosas como Milton Nascimento, Paulinho Pedra Azul e quantos outros: As Minas Gerais.

Fui convidado a atuar neste longa pelo diretor Miguel Rodrigues, que foi o dirtor convidado a montar o cast brasileiro do filme. Foi rodado no Riuo de Janeiro/Alto da Boa Vista e Copacabana.

Ator , músico e artista Circense com mais de 14 longas metragens nacionais e dois internacionais, quatro novelas, mini-séries e dezenas de intermitentes espetáculos de circo, de rua. Ronaldo Lampi nunca para.

Kaká, Larin, and Shea Named To MLS Team Of The Week After Strong Week 11

It was a goal scoring explosion at the Orlando Citrus Bowl this Sunday afternoon.

With Eric Avila, Cyle Larin, Kaká, and Darwin Cerén all pitching in goals during Orlando City's convincing 4-0 defeat over the defending champions LA Galaxy.

Not only did the result help fantasy owners that bet on purple this week, but it also landed three players on MLSsoccer.com's Team of the Week.

Both Kaká and Cyle Larin were named to starting 11. Larin, who was drafted first overall in this year's SuperDraft, recorded a goal in Orlando City's midweek game against D.C. United, and another on the weekend that put Orlando City up 2-0 in the first half.

Kaká played probably his best game of the young season on Sunday, dominating at the #10 spot. He assisted on Cyle Larin's goal, drew a penalty, and converted that penalty as well.

Brek Shea was also placed on the Team of the Week's bench this week. Brek put in strong efforts in both match's this week culminating in an impressive headed assist to Eric Avila that set up Orlando's first goal on Sunday.

Triture bem os biscoitos, depois misture a manteiga derretida e faca uma massa compacta. Reserve Em um refratário vá derretendo no micro-ondas o chocolate de 30 em 30 segundos, mexendo sempre, com muito cuidado para não deixar queimar.

ASICS launches global search for amateur runners to take on nature's toughest relay ASICS has today launched a global search for amateur runners to take part in the annual 'ASICS Beat the Sun' challenge, which returns to Chamonix on June 21(st), the longest day of the year.

illy Yoko Ono Cups Healing the broken and preserving the unbroken are the basic concepts of Yoko Ono's new artworks for illy Art Collection, exclusively released today on the occasion of the artist's upcoming exhibition Yoko Ono: One Woman Show, 1960–1971; May 17-September 7, 2015 at The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York.

Yoko Ono: MENDED CUPS, an illy Art Collection, consists of six cups that bear gold, 'shattered' and 'mended' crack lines – accompanied by six individual saucers that state, in Yoko Ono's handwriting, six catastrophic events that have affected the world; some have directly affected her life, and others only indirectly, yet bringing death to millions of people. Each saucer states the date and place of the tragic event and concludes with the words "... mended in 2015."

The seventh cup in the collection, UNBROKEN CUP, is untouched with no cracked or mended lines, reflecting peace and hope with Ono's handwritten words on the saucer, "This cup will never
