What are some of them?

The marina backdrop is a slice of waterside bliss, and the eateries there live up to the occasion. Café D’Alsace is a modern approach to world cuisine, encompassing Italian, Mediterranean, English and Asian. Stars N’ Bars, meanwhile, was inspired by its famed sports bar namesake in Monte Carlo – an aura recreated by the proximity to the Yas Marina Circuit and overlooking the Marina-moored yachts. The twostorey Spanish enclave of Diablito has panoramic views to complement scrumptious tapas. Stylish and elegant, Cipriani echoes the finest of Italian dining, while the upscale Lebanese environs of Iris Yas Island make for thirst-quenching drinks at sunset on the outdoor terrace.

What if we’ve had a long day, and feel like retreating to the hotel and dining there?

As you’d expect from a range of topnotch hospitality providers, high-quality fare resides at each Yas Island hotel outlet, should you feel like remaining on-resort. Food highlights include contemporary Indian at Rangoli in Rotana, while the Viceroy boasts the fine international buffet of Origins and Southeast Asian flavours at Noodle Box. At the Radisson, diners consider Filini fare ‘belissimo’ and Belgian Café is another highlight, while across at The Park Inn, Amerigos will put you in a Mex-hex, with Mint being a sublime venue for a breakfast buffet. You could easily spend an entire onIsland weekend feasting on the delights at this shopping paradise! There is something for every palate and occasion in this air-conditioned sanctum. Where to begin? There are exotic, innovative Indian dishes at Asha’s, fine-dining Emirati-style at Al Fanar, eating wholesome food to the soundtrack of world music at family-friendly Giraffe Restaurant, an eclectic ensemble of delights at the cosy Shakespeare and Co. and must-mention favourite, the Cheesecake Factory.

On a more laid-back stroll along Cascade Walk, be enticed by the aromas of familiar flavours and tempting treats, from gourmet burgers to sizzling satay and beyond. Embrace the classics, but make sure to visit the outlets with a unique twist, where the menu (almost, but not quite) takes a back seat.

The neon, vibrant bustle of Rogo’s Roller Coaster Restaurant has to be experienced to be believed, as food is zipped along at high-speed to your table on a purpose-built track, delighting diners of any age. If football is your guilty-pleasure the UEFA Champions League Restaurant – inspired by the elite European soccer competition – is the opportunity to become a brunchtime Ronaldo or dinner-time Zidane and score a delicious snack.

The Blue Route, running from 9am to 9pm, takes in Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi, Yas Plaza Hotels, Yas Central, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi; while the Red Route, open 9am to 2am, connects guests from all hotels to Yas Marina, Yas Links Abu Dhabi and Yas Beach. You can also cycle around the island using Bikeshare, which is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Yas Marina offers a variety of berth packages, starting from 13,150 AED.
