Hostos boasts top programs in dental hygiene, nursing and radiologic technology, which has maintained a 100 percent certification passing rate for 17 straight years and a 96 percent job placement rate.

SURGING ENROLLMENT IN CONTINUING EDUCATION Annual enrollment in Hostos’ non-degree and certificate programs is well over 13,000. We’re also opening new facilities, hiring top-notch staff, and expanding training for in-demand careers in healthcare, information technology, education, non-profits, real estate and finance.

Last year, the Caimans men’s basketball team won the CUNY Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) regular season title for the second straight year, clinched the CUNYAC Championship, and climbed to No. 3 in the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III poll.

A GROwING NUMBER OF SCHOLARSHIPS From Carlos Beltrán to the Circle of 100 to the Petrie Foundation, new donors are funding more scholarships at Hostos, making educational dreams a reality for thousands of students.

For the last 10 years, our graduation rates have been on the rise. Last year, Hostos awarded 864 degrees and the year before 842— the two largest classes in the College’s history.

Hostos is partnering with Phipps Neighborhoods, JPMorgan Chase and Montefiore Health System to help young people in the Bronx achieve long-term financial independence. The goal is to train them for jobs in healthcare and fill the more than 1,500 vacancies in the Montefiore system.
