D.F.A. (DIFFERENTIATED FLEXIBILITY AREA) LASTING INSOLE

Motorcycle footwear requires excellent stability on the footpeg; therefore, it must have adequate rigidity in the rear portion. Conversely, the front part should be flexible, both to ensure the right sensitivity when shifting gears and to provide excellent walking ease when not riding.

The internal technical component that meets these requirements is the lasting insole. Each segment requires footwear with different levels of rear rigidity and front flexibility. This is why Xpd, through the use of various lasting insoles, offers different solutions:

Hard D.F.A. : designed for products where maximum stability on the footpeg is required.

Mid D.F.A. : created to provide good stability on the footpeg, while maintaining adequate sensitivity in the front part.

Soft D.F.A. : developed for those seeking maximum sensitivity, even when not on a motorcycle.

DIFFERENT FITS FOR DIFFERENT NEEDS

The world of motorcycle footwear requires a wide range of fits to meet the diverse needs of motorcyclists depending on the riding segment, the type of motorcycle and the various foot anatomies. In this context, choosing the correct fit becomes a key element, as it not only improves comfort but also safety and riding performance. Xpd has therefore developed different fits that better meet the demands of motorcyclists:

Performance fit: a snug fit for maximum riding sensitivity.

Regular fit: a fit dedicated to those seeking maximum comfort all day, both on and off the bike.

Comfort fit: a comfortable fit for users who prioritize maximum comfort. All or part of the above-mentioned fits can be used in each segment.

It is important to note that the same fit used in different segments requires different lasts due to the specific needs and driving styles of each segment.

WATERPROOF AND BREATHABLE H2OUT® TUBULAR MEMBRANE

It’s the waterproof and breathable membrane specifically developed by Xpd dedicated to the world of motorcycle footwear.

The construction with the bootie system is used, which involves creating a sock with the H2OUT® membrane where all the seams are heat-sealed. This prevents water from coming into contact with the foot.

The membrane is coupled with a padded and antibacterial lining that comes into contact with the foot, ensuring excellent comfort.

CE CERTIFICATION

Xpd has CE certified (EN 13634:2017 standard) its entire range of footwear.

DEDICATED FOOTBEDS

There are two types of insoles used in the Xpd footwear range: Air Tech Sensitive Fit Insole: it ensures excellent comfort and maximum sensitivity of the fit, as well as rapid sweat dissipation.

Ortholite® cushioned, lightweight and breathable insole: thanks to its composition Ortholite® foam makes the cushioning, fit, comfort and performance never change. The unique open-cell structure of Ortholite® foam creates a moisture management system, helping to move moisture away and provide a cooler, drier, healthier environment in any application. Ortholite® foam’s open-cell PU technology is 95% to 100% breathable.

MICHELIN® SOLES

CALZATE DEDICATE

Il mondo delle calzature da moto richiede una vasta gamma di calzate per soddisfare le diverse esigenze dei motociclisti in base al segmento di guida, al tipo di moto e alle diverse anatomie del piede. In questo contesto, la scelta della calzata corretta diventa un elemento chiave in quanto non solo migliora la comodità, ma anche la sicurezza e le prestazioni di guida. Xpd quindi ha sviluppato diverse calzate che meglio soddisfano le richieste dei motociclisi:

Performance fit: calzata avvolgente per avere la massima sensibilità di guida.

Regular fit: calzata dedicata a chi cerca tutto il giorno il massimo comfort, sia on bike che off bike.

Comfort fit: calzata comoda per l’utente che ricerca il massimo del comfort. In ogni segmento é previsto l’utilizzo di tutte o parte delle calzate sopra indicate. È importante notare che la stessa calzata utilizzata in segmenti differenti richiede forme diverse a causa delle esigenze e degli stili di guida specifici di ogni segmento.

SOTTOPIEDE DI MONTAGGIO D.F.A.

(DIFFERENTIATED FLEXIBILITY AREA)

Le calzature da moto richiedono un’ottima stabilità sulla pedalina, devono quindi avere un’adeguata rigidità nella parte posteriore. Contrariamente, la parte anteriore deve essere flessibile, sia per garantire la giusta sensibilità nell’uso del cambio marcia, sia per avere un’ottima facilità nella camminata quando non in moto.

La componente tecnica interna che soddisfa queste richieste è il sottopiede di montaggio. Ogni segmento richiede una calzatura con diversi livelli di rigidità posteriore e flessibilità anteriore; è per questo che Xpd, grazie all’uso di diversi sottopiedi di montaggio, offre diverse soluzioni:

Hard D.F.A.: dedicato ai prodotti dove è richiesta la massima stabilità sulla pedalina.

Mid D.F.A.: creato per offrire una buona stabilità sulla pedalina mantenendo un’adeguata sensibilità nella parte frontale.

Soft D.F.A.: sviluppato per chi cerca la massima sensibilità anche quando non in moto.

MEMBRANA TUBOLARE H2OUT® IMPERMEABILE E TRASPIRANTE

È la membrana impermeabile e traspirante specificatamente sviluppata da Xpd per l’utilizzo nel mondo delle calzature da moto.

Viene usata la costruzione con il sistema bootie, che consiste nella creazione di un calzino con la membrana H2OUT® dove tutte le cuciture vengono termosaldate. Questo impedisce all’acqua di entrare a contatto con il piede.

La membrana è accoppiata a una fodera imbottita e antibatterica che va a contatto con il piede garantendo un ottimo comfort.

CERTIFICAZIONE CE

Xpd ha certificato CE (normativa EN 13634:2017) tutta la gamma delle proprie calzature.

PLANTARI DEDICATI

Esistono due tipi di plantari utilizzati nella gamma di calzature Xpd:

Plantare Air Tech Sensitive Fit: assicura, oltre ad un ottimo comfort, la massima sensibilità della calzata e una rapida dissipazione del sudore.

Plantare Ortholite® ammortizzato, leggero e traspirante: la composizione della schiuma Ortholite® permette che l’ammortizzazione, la vestibilità, il comfort e le prestazioni restino inalterate durante l’uso. L’esclusiva struttura a celle aperte della schiuma Ortholite® crea un sistema di gestione dell’umidità, allontanandola e fornendo un ambiente più fresco, asciutto e sano. La tecnologia PU a celle aperte della schiuma Ortholite® permette una traspirazione dal 95% al 100%.

INNER BOOTIE

AGS3 (Ankle Guard System) removable inner bootie is a biomechanic anti-torsion protector that fits on the XP9-R boot and reduces ankle twisting while granting freedom of movement. Its design comes from a detailed anatomic research concerning the articulation movements and the foot areas with the highest risk of impact. The AGS3 and the boot flex in a synchronous and coordinated way creating a single structure that guarantees the highest standards of comfort and safety.

La scarpetta interna removibile AGS3 (Ankle Guard System) è un dispositivo antitorsione di protezione biomeccanica a supporto della caviglia inserito nel modello XP9-R, che ne riduce i rischi di distorsione nel rispetto dei naturali movimenti del piede. Il progetto nasce da un approfondito studio anatomico della posizione e dei movimenti delle articolazioni, nonché dalla necessità di proteggere le aree del piede con maggiore rischio di impatto.
