Dear Friends, Last year, I had the pleasure of attending my first Tree of Life celebration, an event Hospice Giving Foundation has hosted for more than 40 years. I was moved by the sight of so many community members gathered in remembrance of loved ones, by the beauty of local musicians and choral groups who filled the evening with song, and by the City of Monterey’s heartfelt proclamation honoring this tradition. The holidays can be especially tender for those of us who are missing someone we love. Tree of Life offers a place to pause, reflect, and remember together. Thanks to you, families who attend know they are not alone in their grief but surrounded by a community that understands and cares. When you make a donation to Tree of Life, you not only honor your loved one but also help create pathways of care for others. Your support allows Hospice Giving Foundation to continue our work as a funder, educator, and convener, ensuring that patients, families, and caregivers in our community receive the compassion, presence, and dignity they deserve at end of life.
