The CORE | HORUS mission is to maximize business performance and professional potential by truly investing in people, and by fostering a culture of inclusiveness and equitable business practices that ultimately help individuals and businesses reach their full potential.

Unfortunately, this doesn’t just happen by accident—it has to be purposeful. The CORE | HORUS team is tirelessly dedicated to the identification, development and utilization of minority, women and veteran-owned business enterprises as the key tenant of its diversity and inclusion program. By outreaching in this way, and equally important, remaining engaged, countless jobs are created, entrepreneurship is advanced, useful goods and services are produced and economies thrive.
REDEFINING MENTOR PROTÉGÉ RELATIONSHIPS
The dictionary definition of mentoring is to advise or train, but to CORE | HORUS, mentoring means so much more—it’s a commitment. Only through true dedication and support can one create a foundation on which to build a sustainable and thriving business. In this vein, CORE has made a long-term commitment to HORUS, and in turn, HORUS is able to make those same commitments to other MWBE firms.
As a result, CORE | HORUS established the HORUS Academy—Beyond the Boundaries program, which is effectively the marriage of incubator spaces that are designed to support the team’s mentor protégé relationships. The Beyond the Boundaries program follows a three step process: (1) demonstrate, (2) guide, (3) enable.
1. Demonstrate - The CORE | HORUS team works hand in hand in leading by example. Protégés are incorporated into meetings, planning and day to day activities that expose the protégé to real world contract opportunities and partners.
2. Coach - Based on a needs assessment, the CORE | HORUS team offers hands-on and technical assistance to coach the protégé through the procurement process and other items critical to an infrastructure geared to growth and sustainability.
3. Enable – The ultimate goal of the relationship is the create ongoing opportunities for the protégé to scale and sustain independent of partners.
