International Boat Show (SCIBS) was considered by many in the yachting industry to be the best in the event’s 32-year history. Stunning weather, record crowds – up 10 percent on 2019, with 51,832 visitors – and quality inquiries proved to be a powerful formula for success. SCIBS General Manager Johan Hasser was quoted as saying, “We’ve never seen anything like it in terms of commercial success for exhibitors, with more than $250 million in sales across four days.”

Situated on Pier G, Horizon Yacht Australia (HYA) showcased a 2020 Horizon RP100, a 2016 Horizon E56XO and (by appointment) a 2018 Horizon E75. HYA enjoyed success of its own, with the sale of the new RP100 formalized in the early days of the show. Visitors expressed serious interest in a variety of Horizon yacht models, including the PC52, V68 and E75.

Horizon owners also enjoyed the festivities surrounding the show starting with a Moët Ice opening event supported by Horizon Yacht partners Moët Hennessy and Wingman Beer on the ursday night. On the Saturday night, owners joined the Horizon team for an Italian-themed homestyle dinner catered and served by HYA Director Mark Western and his family.
