Drinking water or tasting his food, for Fernando Alberto Hernández Castro was torture. I was starting to lose weight and I had three years of work stress. When he went to do some testing, he learned that his problem was due to achalasia and he was told that there was no clear procedure to attack this problem. He went through a depressed state and his character became irritable because he noticed that his body was getting worst. “I had a negative attitude and I thought that my health would get worse, so I thought I had a terminal illness,” he explained. He felt that his family and work environment was not the best, because he did not sleep well, had nightmares and woke up at midnight. After seeing a printed media, he found an advertisement announcing an innovative remedy to cure achalasia. “I remember I ran out to my wife and told her there was a procedure in Reynosa where they could cure me,” he said. That is why he made an appointment at the Endoscopic Gastroenterology and Surgery Center, where he was recommended a solution to his health problem by a procedure called oral endoscopic myotomy (POEM). “After three years I thank God for finding the way, to the group of doctors headed by Dr. Caramés, who helped me to have a better health. I have recovered the quality of life, sleep and eating habits, “he said. The patient recommended not to be afraid of this surgery-free endoscopic procedure, the intervention is minimal and recovery is immediate. He was attended by specialists from the Center for Endoscopic Surgery and Gastroenterology.<

Fear of the dentist MIEDO AL DENTISTA ODONTOLOGY
Learn not to fear that person who take care of your teeth.
By | Por Eduardo Rodríguez Palacios | Monterrey, Nuevo León
One of the main anxieties of consulting the dentist is the fear of a painful or traumatic experience. Dentist Eyra Elvira Rangel clarifies some of these myths. Pain, unpleasant experiences and grief, are some of the reasons why people fear going to the dentist and avoid attending consultations, said the dentist of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Eyra Elvira Rangel Padilla. “One of the myths is that everything we do hurts and that is not true. Of course, there are procedures that generate discomfort, but they should not be confused with the fact that it is painful,” stressed the current academic deputy director of the UANL School of Dentistry. According to Rangel Padilla, the phobia of the dentist is located only below the fear of heights. And globally, about 30 percent of the population is afraid of the dentist.

-Doctor Óscar Chávez, what is nonspecific chronic ulcerative colitis (UC)? -Nonspecific chronic ulcerative colitis (UC) is an inflammatory disease of the colon (large intestine). It is characterized by inflammation and ulceration of the inner wall of the colon. Typical symptoms include diarrhea (sometimes with blood) and often abdominal pain. When UC affects only the lower part of the colon, the rectum, it is called ulcerative proctitis. If the disease affects only the left side of the colon, it is called limited or distal colitis. If it involves the entire colon, it is called pancolitis.
-What causes UC? -The cause of this disease is unknown. It is not believed to be caused by emotional stress or food or transmitted directly from person to person. There are a large number of research studies that have indicated that inflammation in cases of inflammatory bowel
-¿Qué causa la CUCI? -Se desconoce la causa de esta enfermedad. No se cree que sea causada por estrés emocional o por alimentos, o que sea transmitida directamente de persona a persona. disease involves a complex interaction between the genes inherited by the patient, his immune system and some elements of the environment such as bacterial infections. In developed countries, large studies of continuous research are carried out regarding the cause that triggers this disease. In Mexico, there are some specialized centers that dedicate their efforts to the same objective, among which the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition and Hospital Médica Sur stand out, who have trained specialists to study and treat this condition. -How common is UC? -In Mexico the frequency is unknown and it is considered to be a rare disease, however, it seems that this is due more to the lack of knowledge about it and the lack of adequate diagnostic studies to detect it in a timely manner. UC is predominantly a disease of young people. Most cases are diagnosed before age 30, although the disease can occur at any age, including the last decades of a person’s life. Indeed, it is possible that a much smaller number of patients will be affected by the disease between 50 and 70 years of age. There is a higher incidence of UC in Caucasian people than in minority groups and a higher incidence in people of Jewish race than in non-Jews. -What are the symptoms of UC? -The first symptom of UC is a

progressive loosening of the excrement. The stool usually has blood and can be associated with abdominal pain cramps and severe urgency to evacuate. Diarrhea can start slowly or suddenly. Additionally, there may be skin lesions, joint pains; in children, lack of adequate growth. -How is UC diagnosed? -Physicians diagnose UC based on the patient’s medical history as described above. The main goal of medical examinations is to differentiate UC from other infectious causes of diarrhea. Consequently, excrement tests are performed to eliminate the possibility of diarrhea caused by bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Next, the patient usually undergoes an evaluation of the colon called a colonoscopy where it

is useful to take biopsies that are analyzed by pathology specialists. In addition to determining the type of inflammatory disease, this study also allows us to rule out other diseases such as colon cancer and other benign but equally important diseases.
-What medications are used to treat UC? -Currently, there is no medical cure for UC, but effective medical treatment can suppress the inflammatory process. This allows the colon to heal and relieve symptoms of diarrhea, rectal bleeding, and abdominal pain. As such, the treatment of UC involves medications that decrease abnormal inflammation in the colon wall and thereby control the symptoms. That is why when faced with the suspicion or the knowledge that this disease is suffered, one must be seen by medical experts in the field who will have to individualize the treatment for each patient. -What is the role of surgery in the UC? -In a quarter to a third of patients, medical therapy is not completely successful or complications arise. Under these circumstances, surgery can be considered. This surgery involves the complete removal of the colon (colectomy), which is “cured” once the colon is removed. The best way to treat patients from the surgical point of view is multidisciplinary work, that is to say, the group of medical specialists dedicated to the study, diagnosis, and treatment of UC so that they jointly think about each of the patients and decide what is the best treatment to follow. Likewise, membership as a patient in a group specialized in inflammatory bowel diseases, allows continuous monitoring of the condition and timely detection of complications. -Is nutrition important in UC? -Good nutrition is essential in any chronic disease but especially in this one, because diarrhea and rectal bleeding can deprive the body of fluids, electrolytes, and nutrients. The maintenance of proper nutrition is important in the treatment of the disease. There are no specific foods that play a role in causing the disease. However, you may find that soft foods can cause less discomfort than spicy or high-fiber foods when the disease is active. With the exception of restricting dairy products in lactose or caffeine intolerant patients when there is severe diarrhea, most specialists recommend a well-balanced diet for their patients. -Is it possible to live a normal life with UC? -Although UC is a serious chronic disease, it is not fatal. Some patients experience symptoms whose intensity can sometimes range from mild to severe. Most people with UC continue to live a normal, useful and productive life, although they may need to take medication and occasionally need to be hospitalized. Maintenance medications have been shown to significantly reduce outbreaks of UC. Among the disease outbreaks, most patients feel well and are relatively symptom-free.<
12

In summer, solar radiation is more intense, so it could cause eye damage, such as cataracts, permanent corneal injuries, and headaches that can lead to migraines, said ophthalmologist Marco Antonio Ríos Ibarra. The lenses help to protect your eyes because each crystal or lens has the function of avoiding the sun’s radiation and possible discomforts such as wind and dust. The sunscreens, he said, are the protective layer of the lens that helps keep the eyes safe from ultraviolet rays, each of them adapts in the city or on the beach, explained the specialist. The doctor warned that if the dark lenses used are of poor quality, they can affect visual ability. Therefore, he said, it is advisable to go to the family doctor to request an evaluation of the vision with a specialist who helps with an appropriate choice of lenses, since each eye is different, such as the effects that the sun can have on them. He noted that among the most common eye injuries caused by excess solar radiation are pterygium, photokeratitis, photo conjunctivitis, early cataract, retinopathies, and macular degeneration. Finally, the ophthalmologist of the General Hospital of Zone number 15 of the IMSS recommended to the right habit to wear glasses that have sunscreen film. In the case of children, it is also advisable to wear hats or a hat that protects them from sun exposure.<

It is easy for a father of young children to suffer fear or fear for their well-being, so in the event of any eventuality it is normal to have the desire to take them to emergencies, but when should it be done? A medical emergency is a situation in which immediate decisions must be made to save the lives of people at risk. To attend them, medical personnel must have adequate training and education, since the patient’s life is at risk. Dr. Cinthia Gutiérrez Rodríguez said that in the case of children, especially the youngest, you have to be very careful because they are more vulnerable to various events. HITS Hits are the most common situations when children arrive in the emergency room, and that will depend on the damage or intensity with which they occurred. They can be from the breakage of small blood vessels, to the injury of other organs and tissues. The specialist said that the blows that cause injuries, as well as those that occurred in the face, the area of the eyes and ears, are of great consideration. Also, those caused by falls of certain heights, you should paid attention. “You always have to pay attention to head trauma and request emergency medical attention when there are a wound and heavy bleeding, sinking of the skull, vomiting, seizures, excessive crying, loss of consciousness and intense pain”, she said. Normal body temperature ranges between 36 and 36.8 degrees Celsius and after 37 it is called a fever. “If the child has 38 degrees of temperature, we do nothing and suddenly it is already at 40 can be a trigger to convulse”, said Gutierrez Rodriguez. Fever alone is not a reason for the little one to go to emergencies, but it does have some symptoms such as sagging or refusal to move, difficulty breathing and bruised spots if it is. Also when there is external irritability on lips, tongue, bruised nails and seizures. INTOXICATIONS The doctor explained that when the child ingests any substance that puts his life at risk, vomiting should not be provoked, first, it is necessary to identify what it was that he took, how much of it. Having the product label nearby, reading its composition, recommendations and being familiar with the quantity contained in the package, can make the medical procedure easier. IN THE CASE OF… Finally, the general practitioner indicated that before any large type of burn, especially if it is in the groin, hands, feet, face or chest, it is necessary to go to the emergency service. According to the nutritionist and diabetes educator, Mayra Hinojosa Nevarez, the ideal way to maintain a healthy heart is the intake of salmon, as well as vegetables and seeds such as peanuts, almonds, walnuts, all high in omega 3. “These foods help the heart to function properly and maintain adequate blood pressure levels, as well as cholesterol and triglycerides since if some of these parameters are raised, they will affect or affect the heart itself”, she explained. She recommended consuming a lot of potassium, as its function is to help deflate the arteries and lower cholesterol levels that form clots, therefore, blood pressure is regulated and prevents any heart problems. “Foods with a high level of potassium are melon, strawberry, green vegetables, as well as legumes such as beans, lentils and chickpeas; same that help the body to irrigate all the blood well and that way, control blood pressure”, she said.

HABITS IN LESS THAN ONE MONTH Hinojosa Nevarez explained that the most important thing is to modify eating habits, to achieve this and that the body gets used to it, it must be practiced between 21 to 28 days, starting with the increase in the consumption of vegetables. “First you must identify what is the bad habit we have, to start changing it, if you drink too much soda, if you do not eat vegetables, there is excessive consumption of tortillas or water is not consumed, little by little you should modify them”, she said. On the other hand, she pointed out that there is no classification of good or bad foods, but rather they are healthy or unhealthy and the consumption of the latter does not cause any problem if it is occasional. “The continuous consumption of these foods that are not so healthy or nutritious may be that they take away your hunger, but they will not control any condition, on the contrary, you can alter some parameters more”. AVOID CARDIAC PROBLEMS Nutritionist Mayra Hinojosa Nevarez said that to control or avoid heart problems, the most harmful foods must be excluded, that is, those that contain excess saturated fat: fried or breaded. “In addition to alcohol consumption, fats raise blood pressure, likewise, caffeinated drinks, people with high blood pressure should avoid them; as well as the tees of colors, whether green, red or black, which contribute to increase the pressure more and there force the heart more”, she explained. The reduction of fats in particular, she added, helps prevent heart problems, hypertension, overweight, therefore invited to include the consumption of the aforementioned seeds in snacks, as they are easily available anywhere. Then she talked about the benefit of consuming potassium and magnesium; The consumption of the latter mineral is very important. It is ideal to obtain nuts and helps control or prevent a heart attack and even if they have already suffered. “The more colorful the saucer is to eat, it contains more vitamins that will be consumed for the benefit. We must have variety, our diet must be varied, sufficient and balanced, not only concentrate on a single food, but we must take advantage of the function of each one so that all provide us with good nutrition”, she said. GOOD FOOD FOR ALL She said that a good diet is not exclusive to people with any disease since having a healthy diet serves to prevent any disease. “The heart is the fundamental organ in the body and to keep it healthy you should always seek to have a good diet, instead of waiting to suffer some disease”, she express. As a recommendation, she pointed out the importance to educate children to have a healthy diet with the consumption of vegetables, seeds, and water intake regularly.< FRONTERA DOCTORS | Agosto 2019

With the experience of having performed thousands of open-heart operations, Dr. Filiberto Rodríguez-Salinas is convinced that more lives could be saved if there were a prevention system. With 71 years, although it seems 60, the specialist decided to change his life habits after his indexes rose in a heart scan (calcium score). “As an anecdote, I went to Xalapa with friends from Monterrey, the markets are full of pork rinds, there are hundreds of places, I remember that my father asked me to eat with him. My father ate them in Reynosa in stores, I told him that I did not like them, it is an important reason, because I have the obvious inheritance, I discovered that I focused on that seriously and since I was 50 I have walked a little paranoid; Now I exercise and try to take care of myself”, he explained. Graduated as a doctor from the Autonomous University of Nuevo León (UANL), with postgraduate degrees in cardiothoracic vascular surgery, the now vegetarian worked at Cleveland Clinic, and at the prestigious Mayo Clinic. “I consume what the land produces, it is a plant-based diet, nothing that has legs like pork, beef, chicken, but neither what man does as pizzas or hamburgers”, says who received an offer to work in McAllen with The Methodist Dallas Medical Center in the 1980s gave him a check of $10,000, but he doubted moving to the border because he still didn’t have the growth of a city. It was after going to the movies with his wife Margarita, they watched the movie Gandhi and was moved by the example of the character, so he decided to offer his help and establish his roots on the Texas border. He had to start from scratch, contribute his experience to get a room equipped with surgery equipment, to rooms that received the patients operated for recovery. EXPERIENCE “In my profession in heart surgery, I see that I am entertained by operating problems with clogged arteries or with a patient with a heart attack, but it is more important to prevent this disease and eliminate it”, he explained. He said that therefore the disease can be eliminated, but a great effort is required, “we know that currently half of the population will have a problem with the arteries and the other will not”. In other words, if there is a history of parents or relatives with heart problems, they could be “inherited”. “We do not choose the wife or husband for having a bad history, it does not happen that way, but we can take care of ourselves if we know that something happened in our parents”, he said. The mayor of Reynosa, Maki Esther Ortiz Dominguez, headed the XXXII Session of the Cabildo in which the Commission for Human Settlements and Public Works presented for discussion and approval of two opinions. The aforementioned commission, chaired by engineer Eliacib Adiel Leija Garza, presented as proposals to the full body of the building: Subdivision and merger of two properties, owned by the Tamaulipeco Institute of Housing and Urbanism, Itavu and the Authorization of the Master Plan by Stages, Lotification and Rasantes, Executive Project and Sales of the Expansion of Puerta Grande Expansion and the Merger of Real Estate. The subdivision and merger of the Itavu property, was approved by the Cabildo and about 22 hectares or 221 thousand square meters, an extension that corresponds to the housing development, already built, to add 904 homes, was also voted unanimously, so that the procedure is followed according to what is established by the Law. Mayor Maki Ortiz Domínguez explained that the extension must meet the requirements, such as her permission to lotify, but “must undergo another procedure that has to be seen in Comapa, which is called feasibility.” “To see all the proposals that are being made, from deep wells, that give sustainability to have water to that zone, in addition to the water that corresponds to it and that has no problem or that expansion or any of the neighbors.” Compliance with the procedures, with which Comapa will determine whether it is feasible to provide the water and drainage service, without affecting the sector where the expansion will be located, also includes what concerns the drilling of wells that help that area increase the supply.< FRONTERA DOCTORS | Agosto 2019

Do not abuse hydrating drinks NO ABUSE DE LAS BEBIDAS HIDRATANTES NUTRITION
By | Por Redacción
Local nutritionists warned that those who consume excess hydrating drinks can suffer damage to their health, since ingesting electrolytes when they are not necessary, it can cause dehydration and develop diseases such as hyperkalemia or hypernatremia, that is a high level of potassium and sodium in the blood. In this regard, the nutrition specialist Dione Salazar Peña reported that mostly hydrating drinks are composed of water, glucose, fructose, sucrose, electrolytes, sodium, magnesium, calcium and phosphorus and, in some cases, vitamins C, E, and complex B. “The use of these drinks is recommended only for people who perform some type of exercise lasting more than 90 minutes a day because due to a physical performance they lose a lot of water and electrolytes through sweat,” she said. In addition, she mentioned, that a person who does not perform any sport or exercise will not be able to expel the compounds in the same way and therefore will have an overload of renal function that could lead to hyperkalemia, this happens when the kidneys cannot filter the high levels of potassium in the blood. Frequent intake of hydrating drinks can have adverse effects and cause dehydration in addition to lethargy, weakness, irritability with severe elevations of sodium levels. It can happen that the person convulses and arrives at the coma, the previous thing when presenting hypernatremia that is the excess of sodium in the blood. She also indicated that the majority of consumers of these drinks cover all ages and for the most part do not have the need to consume this product, simply by drinking two liters of water on average per day, they will cover their hydration needs. Finally, the coordinator of the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics at the General Hospital of Zone number 15 recommended that in case of presenting some of the symptoms already mentioned, it is important that you go to a consultation to receive the appropriate treatment.<

Looking younger without surgery LUCIR MÁS JOVEN SIN CIRUGÍA Enjoy skin without sagging or wrinkles and without entering the operating room thanks to the tensioning threads.

Starting at age 25, collagen fibers begin to be lost and that is when the skin is less firm, so some people look for different alternatives to look young and radiant. For those who also do not wish to undergo surgery, the best option is the tensioning threads, made with a material called polydioxanone, which is also used to suture and treat heart surgery, so it is compatible with the human body and also, resorbable. Ebed Daniel Martínez Zorrilla, doctor and cosmetic surgeon, who is part of Dermaclinicka said that when they were developing this material they realized that it could have other uses, including aesthetic. “Any person from 25 years of age can use them, both men and women, although there are the ones who are most looking for them and we can do different treatments including facelift or simply give density to various parts of the body”, he explained. He explained that in the lower third of the face, that is, from the nose down, it is the area where the threads have the best effect to lift and decrease the sagging that regularly occurs in the chin. Another area for which they request the placement of threads is the neck, which is known as “double chin”, bust, arms, and buttocks. “There are tension threads that are the ones that pull and those that stimulate the production of collagen, so depending on the area, they will be the ones we use”, he said. TECHNIQUE PDO threads are applied subdermally at the level of the dermis, which is a middle layer of the skin and there are several types of threads: monofilaments, responsible for stimulating collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid and those of traction, which have the effect of pulling the skin.
tized and a hole is made with a needle through which the threads are introduced. “We put them with a cannula and leave them in a certain place by means of a spicule and make traction and then they are responsible for stimulating the production of collagen”, he said. The threads are reabsorbed by the body in approximately eight months and its effect lasts between three and four years. “There are patients who perform this procedure every two years or two and a half years without problems, there is no rejection by the body, the threads are very good”, he express. Although there is no risk, the specialist expressed some uncomfortable situations that could occur, such as bruising, pain, minor bleeding or discomfort. PDO threads do not generate any disability to the patient, only some subsequent care such as not sunning or exposure to hot areas such as the kitchen, not manipulating the area and no exercising. Martínez Zorrilla commented that it is indicated the taking of anti-inflammatory and analgesic drugs to reduce inflammation and reduce pain, in addition, as a protocol measure an antibiotic is prescribed. Finally, the doctor said that his result is progressive so that during the first and second month his advances are shown and after 90 days the final result is appreciated. <

This was announced by the Secretary of Public Works, Eduardo López Arias when mentioning the series of actions that are being carried out. “We are in the 27th camber, starting the castings, among them the one in the Las Delicias neighborhood, it must already be in the preliminaries, in the Campanario another one is about to start and in the Airport colony also already tendered and we are in the starts, already in the details of the beginning,” he said. In addition to the resources that the municipal government injected into this area, with international economic exchanges, Comapa joined the rehabilitation of carcams, currently working with 278, which is estimated to be operational in approximately two months. According to Comapa personnel there is an approximate record of 140 fallen in the city, of which 42 have been rehabilitated with 8, 12 and 24 inch diameter pipes, the work being carried out by agency personnel. CHILDREN SEEK TO SENSITIZE IN WATER CARE The culture of water seeks that children learn to take care of water in their homes and schools and that in turn, replicate it to their parents, for this reason, the Comapa de Reynosa promotes it through a specialized department. Through various activities, such as poor example, games and drawings, children receive information about water care, which they can do through actions such as not washing the garage and sidewalk with the flow of the hose. The Comapa has the bet on children, since they can promote a new culture of water, because every day there are more families and fewer actions to care for it and encourage its proper and responsible use.<

The branches dedicated to the care and restoration of human teeth are varied, as well as the procedures used by the different specialists, some with better results than others. But if it is a good operation and image it is a technique capable of helping people obtain a perfect smile, which is based on the developments of science and the application of new computerized technologies in oral design. Aurora Ruiz Herrera, who is a dentist and specialist in Advanced Prosthodontics and Dental Aesthetics, as well as Temporomandibular Disorders, Implantology and Bone Regeneration, endorsed by the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) and, with current studies in orthodontics, is also one of the most prominent health professionals in northeastern Mexico. She mentions that wearing impeccable teeth is a dream that can come true as long as you go to the right doctors. It is precisely her clinic, located a few steps from the international border bridge between Nuevo Progreso, Tamaulipas and Progreso, Texas, one of the clinics most foreign patients come to throughout the year. The vast majority come to rehabilitate their mouth, but there is a growing percentage that seeks to correct the size and appearance of their teeth. “We apply a technique known as Dental Smile Design, which helps us a lot to have a good determination about the treatment that we must follow since through extraoral and intraoral photographs we realize the size, position or shape of the teeth. “It allows us to know if it is necessary to make an elongation because sometimes the tooth is smaller and we have to make a cut of the gum or it also lets us see if a type of prosthesis is required so that the patient has a different smile”, details. Expresses that using dentition designs are a great tool because patients can get an idea of how their teeth will

look before the specialist does their job. “And unfortunately, in many places people receive a service that they do not like and for which they are not satisfied, having not achieved what they wanted; however, we project, through photographs, a design with precise measures to teach the patient what we are going to do. “In general, after 15 years of age all people are candidates to improve their smile and analyze the changes that can be made”, she says. THE BEAUTY The interviewee acknowledges that this clinic also includes patients who already have their teeth aligned, but who wish to further improve the appearance of their smile using millimeter covers called veneers or contact lenses. “We rely heavily on orthodontists, because if there is any detail that a movement needs to be made or if the teeth are straight, but they are not of adequate size then not to put a prosthesis like a crown where teeth are destroyed a lot, We exercise a technique in which wear is almost nil. This is the newest and most advanced”, detailed. She assures that it is not something uncomfortable that the patient has in his mouth. Several tests are performed and when finally the person authorizes the images that the computer throws, the treatment is carried out. “In this contact lens technique we rely heavily on what is the design and the work is identical to what we show you because we send the measurements to the laboratory. “And to be able to take good care of all prostheses, the patient is recommended to have their teeth cleaned every four years to six months”, says Ruiz Herrera. The specialist says that another reason why people are opting for this method of veneers is that they least want to have their teeth touched. “Nobody likes to wear our teeth and then this is one of how we give the volume and return the shape to the tooth without wearing it out. “Usually the tooth has microfractures. What the contact lens does is cover them and right now we not only look for a nice smile but feel good, have a good masticatory function and take away many discomforts in issues of the temporomandibular joint”, she emphasizes. WITHIN EVERYONE’S REACH About the public figures that constantly appear in the media showing smiles that look perfect, such as artists and athletes, the dentist admits that most of them are people who have already gone through an oral beautification treatment. The advantage is that to get a denture like that it is no longer necessary to go to such distant countries or spend so much money. “Here at Aury Dental Clinic we have a number of specialists to handle any type of treatment, orthodontic, endodontic, prosthodontic, and not only do we go to the general, but we look for more advanced things always being in the update to provide you with the best patient service and that they leave satisfied. “In the case of the contact lens, it is a very thorough work that takes more time than usual and that is why we ask you a little patience to be able to make a good evaluation and based on that apply the best procedure”, she ponders. So Aurora Ruiz Herrera invites the public to know the techniques offered by Dental Smile Design to get the best smile with the least wear. <

< Agosto 2019 | FRONTERA DOCTORS

Team Verde seeks to reforest Reynosa TEAM VERDE BUSCA REFORESTAR REYNOSA ECOLOGY
By | Por Jordy Saavedra
Through its Facebook page “Team Verde Reynosa”, a massive group of young people from Reynosa is spreading a message of support for the care of the environment. And with the so-called environmental contingency in Mexico City and the risk of poor air quality, the initiative is to prevent the same situation at the border from happening. The movement was created in May and has about 1,500 users, mostly students. Some of the ideas they suggest are bringing trees, reusing the leaves, throwing the garbage in its place, recycling and reusing the plastic. “In the Team Green group we are dedicated to cleaning the streets of our city by teams from each neighborhood, we need trees to have more green areas in different parts of the city. We need support from people who want to take care of the city and the planet,” said Graciela Calixto. The organization of events to demonstrate in favor of the environment is underway and currently they propose simple ideas to start “little by little to save the planet”. The next events will be announced on their Facebook page.<
