We are a Pediatric Day Health Care Facility, which integrates multi-disciplinary services for children who have special needs. Patients are referred by their Pediatrician for nursing services, infusion treatments, respiratory care, medication treatments, and other ancillary services. Our facility targets infants, toddlers, and children up to age 12, who have a medical condition that requires technology dependence and/or skilled nursing.

Our facility is child-focused and family oriented. It allows a wide range of services to be delivered continuously at a high level of pediatric care, which is cost effective, in a non-hospital environment.

Our program is designed to offer a social environment, which gives the children the ability to interact with their peers, the accessibility to professional medical staff, and to provide support to families.

Families have the opportunity to network, with other parents of children at the facility, which will enhance coping skills and diminish isolation.

Our staff consists of: Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Medical Assistants, Physical, Occupational, Respiratory, and Speech Therapists, Social Worker, and Dietician. These services are reimbursed by Medicaid with Prior-Authorization.

Our facility provides case management and education services to the family. The coordination of information of the child's progress to the family and physician provides the best opportunity for continuity of care and improved outcomes.

In addition, the facility provides the opportunity for the child's parent/ caregiver to return to work or further his/her education, with the facility open Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm, parents have the accessibility of professional, qualified individuals to provide the necessary care to their children. This in turn, will give the family peace of mind, knowing that their child is in a safe, loving environment.

This month’s Cover for a Cause was made possible by ACCESS and A Place of Our Own. ACCESS, which stands for Adapting and Changing Children’s Enviornments with Successful Solutions, raises awareness and funds to help support families of children with disabilities in order to improve their quality of life. This past April, ACCESS held their annual Sweet Soiree and every year Kids & Family donates a Front Cover Photo Session to their Silent Auction. A Place of Our Own was the winner and Heather Watkins with Heather Watkins Imaging graciously donated her time and talent to shoot the awesome cover photo.
