We made our first urn using sustainable woods completely by hand, and we still do everything entirely by hand in that same tradition today. We have grown to include workshops in Italy and the U.S. Our team brings decades of expertise to their crafts to ensure your families receive a work of art that we’re proud to stand behind.
At Samuel Mitchell, we are driven to create memorials that are of exemplary quality and innovative design, while remaining environmentally-conscious with the materials we select.

Our co-founders sought to create memorials that fit modern tastes using the highest quality of materials and handmade in a way that is environmentally responsible, all while honoring the life of your loved one.

Our team spends a great deal of time searching for the best quality of raw materials. Our master craftsmen are experts in their fields and strive to create memorials that are works of art. A great deal of care, precision, and thought goes into each of our urns, from concept to construction.

We have a keen eye for style and design, and our urns are designed to fit seamlessly within modern homes and interiors. Our urns are available in various colors and styles to match your personal aesthetic and function as a piece of decor, as well as to honor the personality and life of the loved one they are memorializing.
ENVIRONMENTALLYCONSCIOUS
We seek out renewable materials and conserve and reuse materials whenever possible. Most of our work is FSC-certified and we’re continuing to add new certifications regularly. While we know this may not be a deciding factor, we hope you’ll be pleased knowing your urn has not damaged the environment.

Crafted from sustainably-sourced Rosewood and Oak, this 20-faced polyhedron is an icosahedron. It is inspired by 1920’s Art Deco design and is made from the finest woods selected for strength, beauty and stability to honor the memory of your loved one.

The Soul in is a one-of-a-kind art piece. Designed to hold cremains as well as significant mementos with a keepsake box, while becoming a centerpiece of one’s home.

Constructed with antique bronze metal walls that are a quarter-inch thick and powder coated. The top is a beautiful wood slab.
The Poplar wood tops range in color from a barely perceptible greenish off-white to a midtoned brownish green, black, purple, yellow, and even red – If a customer has a preference for wood color, we will do our best to honor it but we cannot guarantee that we will have the exact variation of coloring in stock.

Keepsake urns hold a smaller amount of ashes than our full-sized urns, which is a convenient option if you will be splitting ashes between multiple households or family members. If you are planning to scatter your loved one’s ashes, a keepsake urn allows you to still keep a small amount of ashes.
