CSU Orchestra Auditions Currently we offer two orchestras, both are open to music majors, minors, and non-majors. We particularly are in need of string players and encourage non-music majors to join us. I am happy to answer any questions or concerns any interested students have, including about time commitments and potential time conflicts. Auditions are held at the start of each academic year, but we are welcoming new string players into our ensembles this spring. Please encourage them to contact me directly at waddellr@colostate.edu . They are always welcome to observe rehearsals as well. Symphony Orchestra (Full Orchestra, Currently rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30-5:00 pm, Performs 2-3 times per semester. We are currently looking at reducing rehearsal to only 4 hours per week and considering other day/time options). Concert Orchestra (Currently strings only, Currently Rehearses Mondays and Wednesdays, 1:00-2:30 pm, Performs 2 times per semester. We hope to open this group to winds, brass, and percussion as early as spring 2024. We may rehearse at a different time in spring 2024).
