TK Angus Production Sale 2025

Page 1

Welcome!

It is with great excitement that our family welcomes you to another production sale for TK Angus! With the calendar turning over to 2025 we are excited to start the new year with a new event. This sale will mark our 42nd Production sale and we are happy to be bringing not only the bull product that we always strive to put forward, but also to be showcasing the fruits of some of our bull customers labors as well.

The heifer calves featured in this sale will represent some excellent replacement females from some of the top producers from the Sandhills of Nebraska. These heifers have been sorted stringently for quality and have been palpated by a veterinarian prior to the sale. The prep to make these heifers into an exceptional set of replacement females has all been done, and with the current cow herd numbers in this country as they are, they represent an excellent opportunity for return on investment.

The bulls for this sale were picked out early last fall and include a large selection of calving ease bulls, as well as some of the younger bulls from the calf crop representing the same sire groups that were popular in our December sale. The quality runs deep in the bull offering and we are excited to showcase these genetics to you. Joining us again in this sale will be Brad Arrowsmith, Arrowsmith Red Angus, bringing both Red and Black two-year-old bulls that have been developed slowly and are conditioned well for a long-lasting productive life for the customer.

We are excited to be holding this event at Valentine Livestock Auction, in conjunction with their regularly scheduled Feeder Cattle sale. The sale will start at 1pm cst with the bulls, followed by the heifer calves. The sale will be broadcast on DV Auction, and videos of the heifer calves will be available there prior to sale day.

Please feel free to give Tim, Rick, or Brad a call to discuss any of the offering prior to sale day, and we always welcome you to come out to the ranch ahead of time to view the bulls. We appreciate the opportunity to discuss which bulls would best fit the goals of your operation. We hope to see you all sale day!

TK Angus is excited to have Brad Arrowsmith as a guest consignor of bulls.

Brad will be bringing an excellent bunch of coming 2-year-old Black and Red Angus bulls to the offering. Over the years, we have partnered on several herd sires with Brad, as he shares a similar philosophy and type when it comes to buying bulls, so the genetics that Brad will bring on the Black side will be very similar to our own.

Commercial Heifers

Beel Brothers LLC

60 Heifer Calves 650-700lbs

The Beel Ranch is a 3rd generation ranch, started in 1937 southwest of Johnstown, NE. It is operated by brothers; Henry, Frank, and Adam. We calve in the spring and fall. After weaning we background our spring and fall calves before selling in January and July. Many of our calves are sold to repeat buyers. For over three decades heifers and cows have been A.I. bred to utilize the best genetics. Disposition is a top priority and all of the calves are on a full vaccination program from branding to breeding. Heifers are A.I. sired by Tahoe, Stock Fund, Yellow Stone, Flinthills, and Gibson followed up by TK Angus bulls.

Neil and Mary Ammon

30 Heifer Calves (20 Red/10 Black) 600-650lbs

Neil and Mary Ammon ranch north of Newport, Nebraska and have been raising Red Angus cattle for 35 years. We background our calves, generally selling the bigger steers in January and the balance of the calves in March. We utilize an AI program with our top priority being maternal genetics, to complement our bulls from Arrowsmith Red Angus. The past few years we have also introduced Black Angus into our herd. We have a complete vaccination program as well as a full mineral program.

Scott Boettcher:

90 Heifer Calves 675-700lbs

Scott Boettcher runs his cowherd of 400 spring cows, and 100 fall calvers near Atkinson, Nebraska. These heifers are all sired by excellent maternally oriented bulls from Arrowsmith Red Angus, as well as Cross Diamond, and Namken.
