Welcome
Fellow Cattlemen -
WELCOME TO THE MUSTANG RANCH ANGUS
Power on the Plains Bull and Female Offering!
The Quick families would like to welcome you to our 2026 Power on the Plains Production Sale! Mustang Ranch has been around for 106 years, and we are now the third and fourth generation to raise cattle and horses here. We have an exciting lineup of bulls this year as well as heifers too. We are extremely happy to welcome everyone back again on April 9th at 1:30 pm for the Fourth Annual Production Sale on the ranch with a complementary brisket dinner prior to the sale. We are hosting an Open House on the evening of April 6th with food and snacks. We would love to see you both days to enjoy friendship, cattle, and have a good time!
Our sale will be again broadcast on DVAuction for those who can’t make the sale, and we will have people available on phones if you prefer to bid that way as well. We are excited to have back again this year a great friend and World Champion auctioneer, Col. Matt Lowery. His knowledge of cattle and industry helps make our sale experience top notch and great to be a part of. Each year we work hard to take steps forward to produce genetics that will add power, pound, and maternal value to your operation. We use artificial insemination and embryo transfer to help make strides in our program and offer you elite genetics from top Angus programs from around the country. We also work hard outside of our A.I. programs to make sure the sires we have are top end producers with the phenotype and genetics needed to add everything from pound producers to easy calvers.
This year, we have bulls and heifers sired from some from some new sires as well as some old familiar and proven reliable faces like MR Admiral 9146, Mohnen Stunner 3220, Janssen Goliath 1072, Musgrave Salvation A117, MR Stout Made 275, Voss Scale House 2004, and Janssen All-Around 1072. We have some new additions to the line up with Voss Poncho Villa 2214, BA Crush 209, Nagorske Renew 2254, and Skeeter Creek Duke 305. You will notice a couple new names that the Mustang Ranch is extremely excited to have added to genetic power RH McClintock 3025 and Penz Grand Slam 2414. Both bulls bring power and maternal value to our program. Bulls are available this year and we hope to have some females in the future, right now they have been so good we have added the first years heifers back into the program. We do have a handful of exciting A.I. calves out of KLA Cherokee 267, SAV President 6847, B&B Diverse 3181, Bullerman Significant 3042, Sitz Spectrum 006, and SAV Panther 1906.
We are excited to offer you progeny from these great sires and as always some of the greatest females to every walk American soil in SAV Blackcap May 4136, SAV Madame Pride 0075, Baldrige Isabel Y69, and Coleman Donna 714 just to name a few of the many maternal influences.
As always, we thank you for your interest and for allowing us the opportunity to offer our genetics and what we have been able to accomplish for your consideration to your program. We believe this offering can help add pounds to your steers and heifers, add females to your herd, and dollars to your bottom line. Feel free to contact us with any questions! We are blessed to have the friendships of our past and current buyers and look forward to adding to that list of blessings for those of you who are new ones. We love talking cattle at every opportunity and look forward to seeing you at the sale!
God Bless you and your family -

It’s no secret that the Mustang Ranch Angus program was built on Schaff Angus Valley genetics, so it is with great excitement we offer semen from one of the top Millars Duke 816 sons to come from Kelly Schaff’s program, SAV Dedication 4173. This bull fits the spread bull definition with easy calving combined with outstanding growth. He is a true eye pleaser with great bone, width, length and depth and an outstanding phenotype. Our philosophy is great bulls are a by-product of making outstanding females and that is why we added Dedication to our herd battery. His first calves hit the ground at the beginning of January and they are already thick and stout stand outs! With SAV Throttle’s sister as his dam, Dedication can offer all the type and power you are looking for that will even work in heifers as well as cows. Dedication will make heifers you want to add to your herd. Check out his pedigree and epds they are outstanding!

Recommended for Heifers. Herd sire candidate! Spectrum is a special bull and his excellent phenotype and power show at every angle. He has excellent depth and width with all the eye appeal you look for when choosing that special herd bull. The cool thing about him as well is that he fits the “Spread Bull” description with a -0.9 BW, CED +15, and YW +137. He is the type and kind you fix birth weights, add numbers, and help push your herd towards the future. He has a loaded pedigree with Musgrave 316 Exclusive, Sitz Spectrum, SAV Resource 1441, Connealy Black Granite, Sitz Bull Durham 10308, and SAV Blackcap May 4136 that draws a breeder’s attention. With an actual birth weight of 67 lbs and his EPDs, this bull is built for heifers. He will work on cows too that have big birth weights that need to be tamed. Spectrum is a virgin 2-year-old; you will be able to start him with 25+ cows and get going.

Recommended for Heifers. This bull has a very unique set of numbers and build. He has calving ease and offers a lot of growth, which is a highly sought after combination. Being born at 68 lbs and weaning off at just under 800 lbs, all while having a heifer as his dam. This deep bodied bull is out of a strong, well-built dam with a great phenotype. She is a sister to the top selling heifer of 2025 and is also a sister to the featured lot 61 of this sale. This bull has all the tools a herd needs to make great maternal females that will push a cattle operation forward in the right direction. He has a strong, wide, flat back that leads to a great tail set and a complete phenotype. This bull has a look that pleases the eye with a wide powerful stance, strong bone and great muscle, while still being smooth sided. He is out of the well known B&B Diverse 3181 that throws a great dynamic of power and calving ease into his progeny. RM 504 is extremely versatile with his calving numbers and large growth EPD, will help correct or improve animals that are lacking in EPDs, while at the same time having the ability to breed him straight into your heifer program. This bull is a game changing herd bull prospect.
Yearling Angus Bulls
Recommended for Cows. RM Cherokee is a stout bull that provides a lot of muscle, as well as great option for heifers. He is deep bodied with good feet and a wide stance that provides power and bone. His dam is a Mustang Ranch native that is extremely easy fleshing. This bull offers a lot, especially having KLA Cherokee as his sire. RM Cherokee would make a great spread bull for any herd.

With powerful sires such as SAV Quarterback 7933, SAV Regard 4863, LD Capitalist 316, and Jassen Voss Western Union in his background, he’s loaded with pound making ability. SAV Panther has come into his own for making high end females and we expect the same out of this son. This bull has excellent phenotype, power, width, depth and bone that come together for a great look. He inherited a great head and solid attitude from his 5-year-old dam that is making her mark in our herd. He has the shape, depth, width, and power to make your calves pop either on the side of their moms eating grass or at the feedlot where it counts as well. The great thing about this bull is not just the growth, but he also offers excellent female making ability. 4M Ace 709, SAV Abigale 377, Janssen Goliath 1027 and Janssen Madame Pride 4102 are all known for making top end females and bulls.

Recommended for Heifers and Cows. This Voss Scale House 2004 son is a special bull in our sale. He has a beautiful head and overall look that brings a complete package together when it comes to phenotype. Smoke House’s pedigree has top notch sires like SAV Scale House 0845, SAV Downpour 8794, SAV Rainfall 6846, SAV Resource 1441, SAV Thunderbird 9061, SAV Brilliance 8077, GDAR Game Day 449, and the list keeps going. These bulls, along with dams like SAV Blackcap May 4136 and Coleman Donna 714, fill this bull’s background with both excellent growth and high-end maternal value. He has been a ranch favorite from the moment he hit the ground and that is when he got his name. MR Ms Thundering Downpour 232 is developing into a great dam here on the ranch and this son of hers makes us excited for what she is going to do for us in the future.

Recommended for Heifers. The excitement for Heavy Rain started early here on the ranch. We already know his powerful dam is headed for the donor pen and this bull shows a lot of reason why. He has been thick, stout, and showing power from a young age. With SAV Scale House 0845, SAV Rainfall 6846, and SAV Resource 1441, it easy to see where the power came from. His donor granddam, SAV Blackcap May 7159, has made some excellent progeny and this bull’s dam is no exception and she shares her great phenotype with him. With a negative birth weight and very good growth numbers, this bull reaches “Spread Bull” capabilities on paper and we expect your bulls/steers and heifers to get going at the feedlot and be ready for heifers you won’t want to let go!

Recommended for Heifers and Cows. Just like the rest of this group, Big Scale won’t disappoint. He has the easy calving and growth numbers to make him extremely versatile. His Resource dam, MR Blackcap May 805, has made top end bulls year after year and Big Scale is another one. He has excellent phenotype and eye appeal with his deep sided, wide look and long round hip to add to that a solid base. He is just made right and with 805 as his momma, it’s what we have come to expect no matter what sire we use on her.
