FERTILITY FUNCTIONALITY PERFORMANCE docility longevity

WELCOME Fellow Cattlemen
Thank you for taking the time to review our offering. We are in unprecedented territory with phenomenal cattle prices. We have brought our absolute best for this sale. We will lead off with progeny of one of the best cows in the business. Barbara 0169 has started putting her stamp on the breed. She is an outstanding source of a combination of phenotype and genotype. Lot 1A is a tremendous, hardworking donor that is ready to start flushing eggs immediately. It is very rare to find a female with as much $M and $B as what she has and still add calving ease, weaning, yearling, heifer pregnancy, calving ease maternal, and foot quality. I fell like she is definitely one to make a huge impact on the breed going forward.
The Lot 1B heifer, Barbara 4052 is quite the specimen in her own right. This female adds as much muscle, shape, and as cool a hip as any female we have found. She will go on to be a phenomenal bull producer. Lot 3,4, and 5 are the next generation of Barbaras. They are following in their dams’ footsteps, with some incredible predictions that look to be very promising.
The Lot 6s are from the Robyn cow family. For those of you that are not familiar with them, keep your eyes on this family as they are making a big name for themselves in our cow herd. The dam of these heifers is the dam of Henke Historic. He sold to Knoll Crest farms in Virginia and has done well for them. These three heifers, we feel, will do an exceptionally good job as well. We are especially excited about the 6a heifer that we are offering half interest in. We would love to stay partners and discover the opportunities that she will bring to the breed. We feel the sky is the limit with her.
Lot 7, D313, has been a prolific donor for us. She produces a lot of high-quality embryos that have resulted in some excellent calves in our past sales. Her daughters lead off an incredible set of bred heifers that we are happy with. This is a complete set of bred heifers for phenotype, balance, and functionality. They will make a great set of brood cows.
The open heifers in this sale have incredible potential. We look forward to seeing what they will do. After the female sale, we will sell 16 stout and powerful young bulls. Feel free to come by anytime before the sale to review the cattle. Please call with any questions you might have. We look forward to seeing you November 5th at 5pm.
A NOTE FROM COLIN
Welcome to our third fall female sale. I am very excited about it. Leading off with the Barbaras, Lot 1A is a great female with an awesome Powercat bull calf on her side. Lot 1B is a phenotype standout with a Breakaway heifer due in January. I am especially excited about these lot 2s out of the great 0169 cow. This Hennessy bull as well as the Wizard bull are two of my favorite breakthrough sons. I even bought a Wizard 0169 pregnancy. Then these Historic embryos are very exciting, with Historic being a half brother to the lot 6s. The Lot 3, 4, and 5 are some standout young 0169 granddaughters that I love.
This 6a heifer is promising out of the great 9149 cow who will eat corn out of my hand. Going to the D313 cow, who was a staple donor for us, she averages about 22 embryos per flush. Lot 8 is a bred heifer that I love as an overall heifer. The Lot 9 heifer is a phenotype standout as well as lot 12 who is very similar. Lot 14 brings the whole package from phenotype to genotype. Lot 15 is at the top of my favorite heifers list and I hate to sell her. The lots 21 and 23 heifers are two heifers that hurt to sell as well and are awesome bull makers.
Lot 45 is a heifer that makes you go WOW when you are in the pen. Then lot 51 is a special heifer that has a bright future in front of her. When you get to the lot 56 heifer she stands out from everything with her bold look and great dollar values. Rounding off with the bulls, this lot 81 is an absolute stud. Him and the rest of the bulls are ready to hit the pasture and breed some cows.

HP EPD TRENDS for enrolled females by birth year

Our
Fertility with docility has been a paramount pressure point in our selections since the first registered female set foot on our farm. The ability to apply top performance traits came easily after that. When adhering to stringent culling for foot quality and measuring every trait possible, we felt like we understand what Maternal means in our cow herd with the data to prove it. Through this selection, longevity comes about naturally and honestly.

HALF EMBRYO INTEREST
Henke Barbara 4052 is a perfect example of the power and dimension that is persistent in these 0169 daughters. She is hard to turn loose of as she is the most impressive daughter of Craftsman we have seen. She is so good through her front end and wide and square across her top to end off at a huge hip. Running out in a big group of females this one is certainly a standout for her superior phenotype all along. If we could build all of our females like this one we sure would. We have not flushed this female due to the timing of some excessive heat this summer as a result we are selling half embryo interest only. Due with a heifer calf 1/26/26 by 4 Sons Breakaway.
PICK OF THREE EMBRYO PACKAGES
HF BARBARA 0169
HF Barbara 0169 is a prolific female when it comes to egg production, and we think that is a good thing. We are offering a pick of one set of embryos by the following three sires. These will be maternal sibs to the lot 1’s.
HF Barbara 0169 Genetics

Henke Barbara 3032 is the dam of the featured lots 3 and 4 in this sale. Her ability to transmit phenotype and big DNA results is strong. The highlight spring born bull, at this point in time, is a son by Bold Ruler, look for him in next springs sale. The sire side of this mating is hard to get your hands on and has recently sold at auction for a high value.

HENKE BARBARA 5042 ET

The #1 $C and #2 $M SS Identified 7551 (who is the full brother to Pine View Rita E093) daughter in the breed. Her donor dam is one of our exciting young females from the electric flush of Top Cut and Barbara 0169, who currently has our top spring bull just weaned off of her. This heifer is attractive and demands attention as she is always a stick out in the pen. Her data set is one that is hard to draw up any better. You can sort this heifer to the top of the breed for several different scenarios as you look to growth, heifer preg, claw, and carcass values she is very unique! For the big three indexes there is only one heifer above her for her levels or better of
and

Henke Barbara 3032 Daughter

The #1 HP daughter of Ambitious in the breed! As you sort her HP and $B index there are only two heifers in the breed that can compete. Include her elite growth to her maternal traits and carcass and she blows the doors off everything. To add value this heifer is in the top 1% for hair shed EPD. As prolific as the Barbara 0169 cow has been for us and her daughters that we have in production it allows us to part with this caliber of heifer that we would not have dreamed of parting with just a few years ago.

HF Robyn 9149 Daughter

6A

DONOR DAM OF LOT 6’S HF ROBYN 9149
9149 is the mother of Henke Historic who sold in our 23’ bull sale to Knoll Crest Farms and has been used hard in that program as well as here. Before she went to the donor pen she brought 3 BW@99, 2 WW@105, and 2 YW@106. Pay attention to these sisters brother Henke Historic at Knoll Crest Farm, 5 of the top 13 high selling bulls this Spring at their sale where Historics.
HENKE ROBYN 4201 ET

Leading this group of three full sisters is a powerfully built female who stuck out in the yearling heifers from the beginning. This big data female is one of only three in the breed for her levels or better of WW, YW, Claw, CW, $B, and $C. The Robyn family has been a favorite for many repeat customers who search out bulls from this cow line each year. Selling half interest with option to double.
WITH OPTION TO DOUBLE

GVC Susanna D313

Parting with a proven donor who made all the right moves for us with real udder improvement and increasing marbling. D313 has 11 IMF@128 and her sons and daughters have always been stand outs in our sales. Her daughter J219 by Clarity that was at her side at the Green Valley Cattle dispersal will take her place as the leading Susanna donor. Her son by Jameson was a highlight of our Spring 25’ sale going to Schaack Ranch in SD. She produced a big flush to Man in Black whose impressive sons sold two years ago with a highlight going to Cunningham Land and Livestock in IL. D313 has been a reliable producer who can be mated easily as you don’t have to protect her form and function.

A cow family on the rise at Henke Farms is the Athena’s. Coming up the hard way through proof on the ground with ratio’s and measurements. This heifer hits the nail on the head for low birth and big growth in the top 3%. A foot improver at the top 4% and the same for $B and $C. This pedigree has some of the breeds great sires for “the keeping kind” with high accuracy.
Due 1/26/26 with a heifer to Galaxy Showdown

A true herd bull maker prospect with an excellent CED and growth spread. In the Spring 25’ bull sale her maternal brothers lead off the sale as lots one and two bringing $23,000 and $16,500 to Stellpflug Cattle Co in WY and Poor Folk Farms in MO respectively. Her dam has 6 IMF@128 and is a phenotypically correct female who catches your eye every time you see her. This Blackcap cow family has big potential to climb the ranks here as they are doing all the right things in the pasture and in the sale ring.
