On behalf of the entire Haden family, we are excited to offer this set of bulls, females, and genetic opportunities for your appraisal. What a year 2025 has been for the cattle industry. Our friends and customers have been rewarded with well-deserved record prices. Most of us had an abundantly wet spring followed by what has been the start to a dry fall. We held nothing back as we put together this set of elite bulls and females for your appraisal. These animals stem from the top donors and females in our herd. We believe they have the performance, phenotype, and data to be successful anywhere. New to the sale this year, we have also brought a set of high-quality commercial replacement heifers that are BRCC sired.
The sale will take place at our headquarters here in Southern Wright County and we will have online bidding available through DV Auction. Come early to enjoy the fellowship among friends and cattlemen. Sale day has become a favorite time of year for us to visit with so many great people. We have decided to adjust the sale schedule slightly. Lunch will be served starting at 12:00 pm with the auction to follow at 1:00 pm.
These cattle represent our breeding philosophies well and are accompanied by all the performance data to allow you to make the most informed decision. We hope as you study the sale information you can appreciate our dedication to raising balanced cattle with above average growth and carcass traits built in while keeping maternal function, fertility, and phenotype at the forefront of our culling criteria. At Buck Ridge, our cattle are managed on fescue pasture year-round just like our commercial cattleman neighbors.
BRCC bulls sell with a breeding soundness exam and are a part of a full herd health protocol administered by our veterinarian, Dr. Michael Spragg, DVM of Spragg Veterinary Clinic. We are thankful for his great service, knowledge, and friendship over the last 20 some years.
Buck Ridge Cattle Company is a family owned and operated operation. We take a huge amount of pride in that statement. We know firsthand the time and financial commitment that our customers have invested in their farms, ranches, and cattle. Our passion for raising the best quality genetics and selling them at fair value is as strong as ever and we are excited about the future of the beef industry. This sale would not be possible without the efforts of many and for that we are thankful. Many have contributed and we would like to extend a special appreciation to Chris Earl and our entire marketing team for representing Buck Ridge and fighting for independent cattle producers.

In closing, thank you for the taking the time to look at our offering. We are extremely honored to continue to work with our repeat customers and would be grateful for the business of first-time customers. We know there are plenty of places to buy bulls and females. Our commitment to you is that we will be working hard every day to improve our cattle and provide the upmost support for our customers in any way we can. Should any issues arise, we are committed to making it right and maintaining a successful long-term relationship.
Please feel free to call, message, or stop by anytime to look at the offering or discuss any questions you might have.
Thank you & God Bless,

• A sale day meal will be provided.

• The cattle are on site and can be viewed any time.
• The cattle will sell on TV screens in our sale facility.

All bulls selling are fertile to the best of our knowledge and have passed a breeding soundness exam by a licensed veterinarian. Bulls that sell for $4,000 or more come with a 1st breeding season guarantee. The 1st breeding season is defined as the 90 days following the first turn out. Should the bull become injured at any point in the 1st breeding season, a satisfactory replacement will be given if available or sale credit in a future Buck Ridge Sale equal to the purchase price less salvage value. Please contact us immediately if an injury occurs so we can quickly make it right.
Free nationwide delivery to central hub locations across the continental United States. We will make every effort to get the animals delivered in a safe and timely manner.

The sale will be broadcast live on DV Auction. Please register to bid at least 24 hours in advance of the sale.

Calving Ease Direct (CED), is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births, with a higher value indicating greater calving ease in first-calf heifers. It predicts the average difference in ease with which a sire’s calves will be born when he is bred to first-calf heifers.
Birth Weight EPD (BW), expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit birth weight to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Weaning Weight EPD (WW), expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit weaning growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Yearling Weight EPD (YW), expressed in pounds, is a predictor of a sire’s ability to transmit yearling growth to his progeny compared to that of other sires.
Scrotal Circumference EPD (SC), expressed in centimeters, is a predictor of the difference in transmitting ability for scrotal size compared to that of other sires.
Heifer Pregnancy (HP), is a selection tool to increase the probability or chance of a sire’s daughters becoming pregnant as first-calf heifers during a normal breeding season. A higher EPD is the more favorable direction and the EPD is reported in percentage units.
Calving Ease Maternal (CEM), is expressed as a difference in percentage of unassisted births with a higher value indicating greater calving ease in first-calf daughters. It predicts the average ease with which a sire’s daughters will calve as first-calf heifers when compared to daughters of other sires.

Maternal Milk EPD (Milk), is a predictor of a sire’s genetic merit for milk and mothering ability as expressed in his daughters compared to daughters of other sires. In other words, it is that part of a calf’s
Fat Thickness EPD (Fat), expressed in inches, is a predictor of the differences in external fat thickness at the 12th rib (as measured between the 12th and 13th ribs) of a sire’s progeny compared to progeny of other sires.
Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M), an index, expressed in dollars per head, predicts profitability differences from conception to weaning with the underlying breeding objective assuming that individuals retain their own replacement females within herd and sell the rest of the cull female and all male progeny as feeder calves. The model assumes commercial producers will replace 25% of their breeding females in the first generation and 20% of their breeding females in each subsequent generation. Traits included are as follows: calving ease direct, calving ease maternal, weaning weight, milk, heifer pregnancy, docility, mature cow weight, claw set and foot angle.
Weaned Calf Value ($W), an index, expressed in dollars per head, to predict profitability differences in progeny due to genetics from birth to weaning. The underlying objective being producers will retain 20% of the female progeny as replacements and sell the rest of the cull females and their male counterparts as feeder calves. Traits included are as follows (in no particular order): birth weight, weaning weight, milk, and mature cow weight.
Beef Value ($B), a terminal index, expressed in dollars per carcass, to predict profitability differences in progeny due to genetics for postweaning and carcass traits. This terminal index assumes commercial producers wean all male and female progeny, retain ownership of these animals through the feedlot phase and market these animals on a carcass grid. Traits included in the index are as follows: yearling weight, dry-matter intake, marbling, carcass weight, ribeye area and fat.

BRCC Battle Cry 4001 is an elite herd sire prospect that has excelled in his power and presence from an early age. The terms maternal, performance, and pedigree all merge together in Battle Cry. His pedigree is stacked with the strongest foundation – excellent Angus mother cows. Dive deep into his lineage and find these cows who need little introduction. Erica of Ellston T220, Erica of Ellston R96, Musgrave Lady Barbara 659, and Musgrave Lady Barbara 540-453. The future calf crops will be rich with consistent excellence. BRCC Battle Cry 4001 will be the first of many sons to come to the market from his special donor dam, Musgrave Lady Barbara 212. Her presence will be a heavy influence in the future of the BRCC cowherd.

AN EXPLOSION OF PERFORMANCE
BRCC Symmetry 4730 is a feature son of the well-known Musgrave Blkcap McHenry 1800. He boasts excellent performance figures with a 222 $B and 370 $C. His top 3% ribeye is backed by his adjusted ribeye scan of 18.7! His maternal brother, Musgrave Rarity, was the $100,000 selection by ST Genetics.

4693 has been a standout since the bulls hit the weaning pen. He is extremely slick hided – perfect for fescue country. He exhibits muscle expression that is second to none. Don’t miss his top 2% WW, top 4% YW, top 2% $M, top 1% $W, and top 10% $C. See his full sister, BRCC Lady Barbara 4687, selling as Lot 53. The pieces are all here for an excellent herd sire prospect.

BRCC Prolific 4681 is another feature son of Musgrave Lady Barbara 212. His flush mate sisters were highlighted in the BRCC Spring 2025 sale. We love the front end and mass exhibited through this mating. 4681 brings unique calving predictions with a 12 CED and -1.3 BW. Don’t worry about performance with his 97 WW and 164 YW! He rounds out with an exceptional top 1% $M at 107.

Dollar value indexes, or $Values, are a tool used to select for several traits at once based on a specific breeding objective. An economic index approach takes into account genetic and economic values as well as the relationships between traits to select for profit.
Musgrave Rob Roy 20091415
Maternal Weaned Calf Value ($M), an index expressed in dollars per head, predicts profitability differences in progeny due to genetics from conception to weaning. Increased selection pressure on $M aims to decrease overall mature cow size and improve foot structure and fertility while maintaining weaning weights consistent with today’s production.

Weaned Calf Value ($W), an index expressed in dollars per head, provides the expected difference in future progeny preweaning performance from birth to weaning. Over time, increased selection pressure on $W will increase
and maternal milk
cow size.

Calving ease direct (CED): Percent of unassisted births of a bull’s calves when he is used on heifers. A higher number is favorable, meaning better calving ease.
Birth weight (BW): Predicts the difference, in pounds, for birth weight of the calf.
Weaning weight (WW): Predicts the difference, in pounds, for weaning weight (adjusted to age of dam and a standard 205 days of age). This is an indicator of growth from birth to weaning.
Yearling weight (YW): Predicts the expected difference, in pounds, for yearling weight (adjusted to a standard 365 days of age). This is an indicator of growth from birth to yearling.
Scrotal circumference (SC): Is a good indicator of age at puberty, and is a highly heritable trait. EPDs for scrotal circumference are expressed in centimeters, with higher values indicating genes for larger yearling scrotal circumferences of sons and earlier puberty of daughters.
Docility (Doc): Predicts genetic differences in the probability that offspring are scored a 1 (docile) or 2 (restless) as opposed to 3, 4, 5 or 6 (nervous to very aggressive). Higher EPD values for docility represent genetics for calmer behavior.
Calving ease maternal (CEM): Represented as percent of unassisted births in a sire’s first-calving daughters. A higher number represents more favorable calving ease.
Milk (MK): The genetic ability of a sire’s daughters to produce milk expressed in pounds of weaning weight.
Total maternal (TM): An index that combines growth and milk information as a prediction of the weaning weight performance of calves from a sire’s daughters. A greater TM value means a mother that returns comparatively higher weaning weights on her calves.
TM Index = MK EPD + ½ WW EPD.
Stayability (ST): Predicts the genetic difference, in terms of percent probability, that a bull’s daughters will stay productive within a herd to at least six year of age. The stayability EPD is one of the best measures currently available to compare a bull’s ability to produce females with reproductive longevity.
Yield grade (YG): Differences in yield grade score, which is a predictor of percent retail product. Smaller values suggest that progeny will have a better lean to fat ratio.
Carcass weight (CW): Differences in pounds of hot carcass weight, adjusted to an industry standard age endpoint.
Ribeye area (REA): Differences in ribeye area in inches between the 12th and 13th rib. Greater ribeye areas are preferable.
Marbling (MB): Predicts the differences in the degree of marbling within the ribeye as expressed in marbling score units. Greater marbling numbers are preferable and are an indicator of higher carcass quality grades.
Fat (FT): Differences for fat thickness, in inches, for a carcass over the 12th rib. Smaller numbers of fat thickness are preferable as excess fat can be detrimental to yield grade.
Terminal Profit Index ($TPI): Predicts genetic differences in profit per carcass by combining the potential for and value of postweaning growth, quality grade and yield.

Take your pick! Baldridge War Cry x BRCC Blackcap 8580 was a success. These heifers have been standouts from an early age in the ET herd. We love the soft sided, thick, and feminine features they express. The donor dam is an easy fleshing, productive cow that earned pathfinder status by doing all the things right with no special treatment. Her daughters will take her legacy even further.

BRCC Lady Barbara 4687 is special. Another feature daughter of the BRCC/Musgrave donor, Musgrave Lady Barbara 212, who continues to create top shelf offspring no matter the sire she is mated to. 4687 has the maternal, performance pedigree we love and highly resembles her mother. Don’t miss her flush mate brother selling as Lot 3 along with maternal brothers selling as Lot 1 & 4 to see the consistency. We have full faith in this female and look forward to a partner who will value her potential with us!

BUCK RIDGE CATTLE COMPANY is owned and operated as a family partnership in Southern Missouri on over 2,000 acres of fescue dominant pasture and hay ground. Our headquarters are located in Wright County. The BRCC operation started with very humble beginnings and has been in a constant state of growth over the last 20 years since those first 9 commercial cows were purchased.
It has become our life’s passion to raise cattle and make the best product possible for our customers. We currently breed around 400 females annually using artificial insemination or embryo transplant. The BRCC cow herd is managed using rotational grazing with stockpiled fescue being our primary winter feed source. The cattle are expected to perform well and breed back in a short window while on pasture with minimal supplementation. Our Angus and Lim-Flex cattle have built in traits to ensure they will perform in the pasture and feedlot. The Buck Ridge breeding philosophy focuses on fertility, growth, and carcass merit by utilizing EPDs and data collection.
We love to visit with folks about our operation and how Buck Ridge bulls can improve the profitability of our customers’ cattle herds. God has blessed our family with the land, cattle, and passion that make up Buck Ridge and we are very excited to continue growing our cowherd in the future.

What an exciting time to be in the cow calf business. This group of heifers are sired by top end BRCC sires and from commercial mothers. 21 are solid black and 4 are black white face. These females were raised at BRCC and meet our quality standards to enter the cow herd. Their mothers know how to work, breed back, and raise a big calf with no special treatment. The heifers will be pelvic measured and tract scored in early October. Sale format will be in groups of 3-5 head.
