At NCMC, Josh lived on campus, played baseball for the Pirates baseball team, and was a student tutor at the Tutoring Center. Josh was also selected as the Associate in Science Academic Excellence Winner for 2023. Josh's favorite class was Calculus with Instructor Tracy Welch. Josh said, "I really like math; I find it easier than other classes, and I like problem-solving, and I enjoyed the class."

Josh went on to say, "I chose NCMC because I didn't know what I wanted to do yet, and I wanted to play baseball. At NCMC, I took physics and really enjoyed it, and I found engineering might be a good fit for me. There are a lot of great people at NCMC, and I enjoyed being able to take my gen eds while figuring out what I wanted to do. It's a really good school."
