Daviess County Soil & Water Conservation is accepting applications for a full time District Technician I position. Duties will include, but not limited to: providing technical assistance to district landowners in the area of soil & water.
Applicant will assist with conservation practice design, planning and staking conservation practices. The applicant must have the ability to travel over rough and uneven terrain. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s licenses and be able to pass security background check. Starting pay is $16.31/hour. Benefits include health insurance, retirement, paid holidays, and paid leave.

This position requires planning/designing conservation practices (waterways, terraces, ponds, etc.), and works directly with landowners. Strong computer skills and good customer service skills are required. The physical ability to cover rough terrain in all types of weather conditions are required. Farming/agriculture background would be helpful.
