Meet Maxine Thompson! Maxine is one of our newest residents here at The Village. Before retirement, Maxine lived in the Bay Area in California. For 16 years she taught Jr. high school students and after moving to Missouri, volunteered at the Nelson Atkins Museum and veterans home for many years. She also worked for nine years as a Public Member for the Missouri Dental Board. Maxine has four sons, Lorin, Curtis, Max, and Otis Thompson. Some of her favorite hobbies include reading, knitting, and reminiscing on her extensive travels through the years. Maxine has traveled to all 50 states, and all seven continents in the world. We love having Maxine here at The Village and when asked what her favorite thing about The Village was, she said "The people! All of the caring, loving, wonderful people here."
