James Braddy signs with SWCC
In his lone year at Plattsburg High School, senior James Braddy proved to be the spark plug in the Tigers’ historic run to the Missouri Class 2 Final Four. Now he’ll be transitioning his game to the collegiate level.
Braddy signed his letter of intent Wednesday, April 26, at PHS, to play college basketball for Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa, beginning next year. Braddy said several factors attracted him to sign with Southwestern, including head coach Reggie Kindle, the players, the campus and the great community in Creston.

KCI honors scholar-athletes
The KCI Conference honored its 2023 Scholar Athletes at Plattsburg High School on Sunday, April 30, recognizing those students who have committed themselves to excellence both in the classroom and on the field.
To be recognized, a student-athlete must be an upperclassman, two-sport letter winner, an exemplary citizen and hold a 4.0 GPA or 3.75 GPA with a score of 25 or more on the ACT or 1300 or more on the SAT.
