Lathrop Garden Club News

The Lathrop Garden Club (LGC) is gearing up for community projects in 2023, such as the planting of flowerpots downtown, improvements at the Little Mule Pass located directly behind the elementary school, and partnering with the Lathrop High School Horticultural students with the winter sowing of plant and flower seeds. Spring weather will allow the club to start on an extension to the brick walk at the Blue and Gold Memorial at the Lathrop Antique Fairgrounds.
At the most recent meeting, LGC’s guest speaker, Sharon Weiser, master gardner and member of the BuAnCo Garden Club, shared a presentation of her visit to Monet’s Garden in Giverny, France, including photographs. Monet was a master gardener, horticulturalist and colorist. He perfected his style of blending multitudes of flower and foliage colors, textures and shapes.
