For long-term success, give up these detrimental traits By Harvey Mackay Success isn’t always about dominating the landscape.

Sometimes, to be successful, you have to be prepared to give up some counterproductive behaviors that are holding you back – and you may not even realize you’re guilty.

Old habits are hard to break. And if you don’t even realize that you are practicing some of these behaviors, you may not see a problem. But if others perceive you as a difficult co-worker, it’s time to take another look at what you are doing.

Be brutally honest with yourself or ask a trusted associate, and see if any of these traits describe you. If the answer is yes, an attitude adjustment may be in order.

• The need to be right. Concentrate on getting results, not on proving your own intelligence and accuracy. Be open about your mistakes. Don’t worry about who gets the credit for victory. Help others succeed, and you’ll share in the glory.

• Speaking first. You don’t have to dominate every meeting and conversation. Ask for others’ ideas and opinions. Give them the opportunity to share their thoughts, and they’ll become more comfortable communicating with you.

• Making every decision. Ask others what they would do, and be willing to accept that there may be more than one way to accomplish a task. Don’t insist that everyone do things your way.

• Control. You can’t stay on top of every task and decision. Identify what you really need to handle, and delegate responsibility for tasks that others can do just as well. Accept that some things are beyond your control so you can concentrate on the influence you have.

• Inflexibility. If you find yourself balking at new ideas, or resisting change with “but we’ve always done it this way,” it’s time for an attitude adjustment.

Different situations demand different solutions. And it’s better to be part of the solution than part of the problem.

• Disloyalty. Bad-mouthing your company, co-workers, products or services never improves any situation.

Disagreement is not disloyalty. It’s natural to have differences of opinion. But it is not professional to disparage another in an attempt to make yourself look better.

Criticism must be constructive, not destructive.

• Dishonesty. Just tell the truth.

Honor confidential conversations. If you prefer not to answer a question, say so, but don’t lie or evade questions. Trust is the most important word in business, in my opinion.

Harvey Mackay continued from page 2 teamwork. But if each department sees its contribution as the most important, rather than focusing on the big picture, the big picture will be way out of focus.

• No sense of humor. It’s important to take your work seriously, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have fun at work.

In fact, I’m a big fan of enjoying your job and making work enjoyable for those around you. As long as the language is appropriate, i.e., not offensive, demeaning or vulgar, a dose of humor can bring people together and make situations more comfortable.

• Poor listening skills. There is a difference between hearing and listening.

Pay attention to what’s being said, and ask questions if you are unclear about the message. Avoid interrupting, evading eye contact, rushing the speaker and letting your attention wander. You can win more friends with your ears than with your mouth.

• Disorganization.

A messy workspace does not demonstrate how busy you are. Clutter gets in the way of

clear thinking. If you can’t find what you need the moment you need it, you need to get organized.

• Lack of accountability. Blaming mistakes or poor results on others, refusing to take responsibility for obvious errors, making excuses instead of finding solutions – it can’t always be someone else’s fault.

• Poor time management. First things first. Setting priorities and meeting deadlines is fundamental to the success of an organization. If one of the key players operates on a different schedule, the whole project suffers. Wasting time is wasting money.

Obituaries Irene E. Rademacher

Irene E. Rademacher, age 92 of Melrose and formerly of Freeport, was called to Heaven on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Melrose, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 11 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport with Rev. Ken Thielman officiating and Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B. concelebrating.

Interment was in the parish cemetery.

Irene Elizabeth Hoeschen was born April 28, 1923 in Freeport, Minnesota to Paul and Anna (Tomsche) Hoeschen.

Shortly after her birth the family moved to a farm near Albany. She was raised there and graduated from Albany High School in 1941. After high school, Irene worked in the Twin Cities. She married Gothard Rademacher on September 12, 1944 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany.

They farmed on her ancestral farm until 1955 and then for one year near Rice. They returned to Freeport in 1956 and purchased the home they lived in for nearly 55 years.

While her children were growing up, Irene was a Cub Scout den leader and volunteered at the school and church.

When her youngest was in high school, she waitressed for a short time at Charlie’s Café.

Then she took a job as a nursing assistant at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home and later as

Donald W. Erickson a physical therapy assistant at the Melrose Hospital. Irene was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport, Christian Mothers, Aquinas Book Club, Melrose Historical Society and the Goldenaires Senior Citizens.

Irene was the backbone of her family as her husband’s job required him to be away a great deal. Irene was a kind, good-natured woman whose smile lit up a room, warmed your heart and lifted your spirits. She was very proud of her children and couldn’t wait to welcome each grandchild and greatgrandchild into her brood.

Survivors include her children, Chuck (Marilyn) Rademacher of Albany, Jim (Ann) Rademacher of Pittsford, Vermont, Jane (Jerry) Schulte of St. Cloud, Don (Patti) Rademacher of Wayzata, and Jack (Kim) Rademacher of Fon Du Lac, Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and sister, Bernice Atkinson of St. Cloud.

Irene was preceded in death by Gothard, her husband of 69 years; parents; and her siblings, Vernon “Sonny” Hoeschen, Rose Gysberg, and Verena Nathe.

Serving as casket bearers were Jane Schulte, Don Rademacher, Chuck Rademacher, Jerry Schulte, Jim Rademacher, and Jack Rademacher. Cross bearer was Erin Rademacher and scripture bearer was Kathy Black. Readers were Peter Rademacher and Diane Winter and serving as gift bearers were Patrick Schulte, Hannah Rademacher, and Brian Rademacher.

Arrangements were made with PattonSchad Funeral & Cremation Services of Freeport.

Donald W. Erickson, age 88 of Cloquet, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Essentia Health Care in Duluth.

Services were held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet.

The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Joseph M. Gogala, age 97 of Albany was held Wednesday, May 13 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony (rural Albany). Burial followed in the parish cemetery. Joseph died Friday, May 8th, 2015 at the Southview Acres Health care Center in South St. Paul.

Joseph was born September 13, 1917 in Albany to John and Frances (Giesenhof) Gogala. He was in the U.S. Army during WWII, serving in the South Pacific on Guadalcanal. He returned to Albany and

3, 1948 in McGregor, MN. They moved to Cloquet in 1971 and owned and operated Erickson Hardware. Don was a member of the Cloquet Presbyterian Church.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; wife Dona; sons Steven and Roger; one brother, Lamoine; and step-mother, Clarice Erickson.

Priyatel in Ely, Minnesota. They were longtime residents of Ely before Lorraine moved to Melrose in 1999. Lorraine enjoyed attending church services, reading, and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, John (Diane) Priyatel of Elk River and Rae (Bob) Kuzma of Melrose; four grandchildren, Cheri (Jamie) Hemker, Todd (Debra) Kuzma, Kevin Priyatel, and Michael Priyatel; five great-grandchildren, Tyler, Connor, and Nolan Hemker, Jarred and Blake Kuzma; and brother, Melvin Janeksela of Ely. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, John Priyatel on July 1, 1998; parents; brothers, Sheldon and Dennis Janeksela; and sisters, Carol Leppanen and Marlette Nolte.

Frederica T. “Rica” Korte

Frederica T. “Rica” Korte, age 91 of St. Rosa, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 15 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in St. Rosa with Rev. Roger Klassen, O.S.B. officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m.

Thursday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose.

Parish prayers will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Frederica Teckla Korte was born June 5, 1923 in Millwood Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Bernard and Adelheid (Klasen) Korte. Rica and her siblings were all raised by their grandparents, John and Anna Klasen. She lived in St. Paul and worked at the U.S. Postal Service for many years until her retirement. Rica moved to St.

The mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Evelyn Luethmers, age 92 of Albany, will be 11:00 AM Thursday, May 14 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Evelyn died Sunday at the Mother of Mercy Nursing home, surrounded by her family in Albany. There will be a visitation after 9:30 AM Thursday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Albany.

Evelyn was born May 6, 1923 in Albany to August and Josephine (Korte) Kohorst. She married Clemens Luethmers on June 27, 1944 in Albany. Evelyn worked at St. Cloud State University for over 21 years. She loved her Sunday gatherings with her family, making chicken, dressing and homemade goodies. She also enjoyed playing cards. Her most precious thing was her family. She blessed them with beautiful

Rica was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Alice Kerfeld; brothers, Urban and Lawrence Korte; brothers-inlaw, Al Beuning, Virgil Kerfeld, and Hubert Bielejeski; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Korte and Eileen Korte; nieces, Georgianna Beuning, Baby Girl Beuning, and Ann Bielejeski; and nephew, Greg Korte.

Serving as casket bearers will be David Kerfeld, Jack Korte, Joe Beuning, Loren Kerfeld, John Bielejeski, and Urban Beuning. Cross bearer will be Mary Haines and scripture bearer will be Geralyn Ottum.

Honorary bearers will be Rica’s nieces and nephews.

Team Fran Day was a big success on Friday, May 1st. They had over 200 Team Fran supporters at the Swanville Park. Team Fran Day was not just for Fran Koetter but for all families who have relatives with Parkinson’s. Many people think it is just a disease that make you shake a little, but life goes on. They are very wrong. It effects people in so many ways and cripples many for life.

Engagement Upsala Sr. High March Student of the Month Rochelle Herzog and Gregory Hulinsky

Our staff is proud to announce Matt Herzog as March Upsala High School Student of the Month.

Matt is the son of Allen and Diane Herzog of Upsala. He is doing very well academically making the honor roll consistently.

Matt is a leader in his class, serving on student council as class vice-president.

In his free time Matt likes to hunt, fish, drive four-wheeler, bike and hang out with his friends. When not in school he is very busy with milking cows and other farm chores.

Matt says that his favorite class in school is math, because it is fun, but also challenging. The most valuable class is English because it is useful in everyday life. Even though Matt says he is not the best at grammar, he thinks it is very valuable.

His future plans include taking over the farm or going to school to be an Animal Nutritionist. Matt’s advice for his classmates is to set goals and do not give up until you achieve them. No matter how long it takes or how long you have to work.

Math teacher, Jessica Hovland says “Matt is an amazing student that is always working hard and has a smile on his face. His positive attitude and his ability to make learning fun, makes it a blast to have him in class.”

Thought for Crunch Time at Capitol During Final Days of Session the week: It all comes down to this week as the legislative session heads into the home stretch.

The official adjournment time is midnight Monday evening, May 18, and we may go right up to that point.

The schedule has us coming into session for eight straight days, including this Sunday, as we attempt to wrap up what needs to be done. All of the major finance bills are in conference committees and must be agreed upon there before returning to each chamber for final approval. New spending targets are given to those committees, and once those numbers are agreed to, the pieces could fall into place quickly. The three areas where the differences between the House and Senate are the largest are in taxes, transportation, and education. In addition, the House version of the HHS bill contains a new payment structure for

long-term care reimbursements while the Senate bill does not. It’s important that we keep the House language as it pertains to that provision in the final agreement.

A bill I carried dealing with conservatorships was passed by both chambers and signed into law by Gov. Mark Dayton recently. A situation was brought to my attention by a district resident, and we worked throughout the session to come up with language that was suitable. The new statute will now allow judges more discretion when setting the amount of money that must be held in a bond for the protection of those assets.

On the avian influenza situation, the number of cases reported last week slowed down. Hopefully, that’s good news as recent warmer weather is thought to have slowed the virus. On two days last week, no new cases were reported for the first time since April 15. The official count, as of May 8, was 84 confirmed cases in 21 counties. The two leading turkey-producing counties in the state, Kandiyohi and Stearns, continue to be the hardest hit with 32 and 14 cases, respectively. The next counties with the most cases are also in central Minnesota as Meeker has eight reported outbreaks and Swift County six. In total, over 5.5 million birds have been affected or put down because of the disease.

It was also reported by the Board of Animal Health that in all the control areas of the affected farms, over one thousand backyard flocks have completed the first round of mandatory surveillance testing, and only one positive test result has come back. In addition, 54 of those flocks have undergone the second round of sampling, and none of those results has been positive.

Following an open winter and fairly dry spring, moisture and rainfall were on the minds of many. The lack of rain made for good planting conditions, and work was ahead of schedule. Most of the corn has been planted, and many soybeans, as well. Finally, the skies opened on Sunday and general rainfall was reported all across Minnesota. My gauge showed nearly 1.5 inches of precipitation. Some corn fields have already emerged, and one neighbor even reported soybeans that were “up.”

The concern now is cold temps that are forecast later this week and what they will do to newly emerged crops. One legislator had pictures on his phone of a farmer near Roseau planting soybeans last week. If it dips into the middle 30’s around here, I’ll bet the frost will really be on the pumpkin up there.

Perhaps the deepest wounds any of us carry are the wounds that come from being betrayed. They leave a bitter taste in our mouths and a desire for revenge in our minds and hearts. When a trusted friend turns out to be an enemy, especially without cause, it fractures - sometimes forever - what was expected to be a confidant for life. Trust turns into resentment and love seeks revenge. Anger turns into grief and a large hole grows in our heart. We question what to do or where to go for help.

What is the best course of action for us to take? Spread rumors about “the enemy?” Seek ways to destroy that person’s reputation? Allow depression to overtake us and hide from the light of day? It’s too difficult to remain calm when our insides churn.

When David was being destroyed by those who he thought were his closest friends and advisors, he turned to God. He did not ask God to forgive them. Nor did he ask God to convict them and make amends to him. No! He asked God to arm Himself with a shield, buckler and spear and go after them.

And then he asked God to speak to him, bring a peace to his heart and assure him that “I God, am your salvation!” He was anxious but trusted in God. David had done no wrong in this instance. He deserved to be vindicated. He was aware, however, that if he took things into his own hands it might have been disastrous if he lost control of his anger. So, in his wisdom, he asked God to vindicate him. And God did!

Grey Eagle Township May 4, 2015 These minutes are not approved.

Call to Order: Ron Frericks called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. The pledge of allegiance was recited.

Members Present: Ron Frericks, Ray Bense, Mary Ann Primus & Mike Rohe.

Agenda Approval: A preliminary agenda was presented. Ron asked if there were any additions to the agenda. Ray made the motion to accept the agenda. Mike made the second. All in favor. Motion carried.

Approval of Minutes: The clerk provided copies of the April 6, 2015 minutes to the board. Mike made the motion to approve the minutes as written. Ray made the second, all in favor. Minutes approved.

Town Clerk’s Report: Clerk presented the claims list for April.

Claims list included 12 claims for a total of $9,062.92. Mike made the motion to approve the claims; Ray made the second, Motion carried unanimously. Letters received included advertising, Planning and zoning notices and the League of Cities Directory.

Treasurer’s Report: Mary Ann Primus presented the treasurer’s report as follows: Beginning Balance as of April 1, 2015: $165,798.21; Checks cleared: 18, $25,137.35; Deposits including interest: $18.62; Balance as of April 30, 2015: $140,679.48; Outstanding Deposits: 0.00; Outstanding Checks: $611.80; Cash Available: $140,067.68; CD Balance: $123,009.08 Ray made the motion to accept the treasurer’s report. Request was presented by property owner to get permission to dig a tile line thru the Township Road (Chickadee Drive). After some discussion the board granted permission as it had been done before and that the property owner would take care of any damage resulting from the tile line for one year. Ray made the motion to allow, Mike made the second. Motion carried.

Road and Bridge Report: Ray reported on the frost boils on Chickadee Drive and that signs from Breezy Drive and Buckhorn Drive are missing. Discussion on the culvert on Brakken Road which needed repair and now some follow up work. The culvert on 130th will be removed once property owners are notified. Ray also received a request to have the minimum maintenance road off of 144th St. vacated.

No decision was made. The mileage certification was done and will be sent to County. Surplus Service requested a new signature card.

Additional agenda items: Ron reported on the Todd County Officers’ Meeting. He stated it was interesting and gave a review of some of the speakers that had been there.

An ad will be posted and published for both the ditch mowing and the beach maintenance. The Township does plan on doing some spraying and Ray will get the number for Carr’s Tree Service.

Swanville City April 7, 2015 Minutes of the Swanville City Council meeting held in the Swanville Center on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. The meeting called to order 7:00 p.m. with the following members present: Sandy Peterson, Jim Molitor, Norm Carlson and Tony Maciej. Absent: Jay Bartkowicz.

Also present: Lonny Hutchins and reporter Kerry Drager.

Minutes of the Swanville City Council meeting held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 were read. A motion was made by Norm Carlson to approve the minutes as read. Jim Molitor seconded the motion. All members voted in favor, motion carried.

The treasures report was given. A motion was made by Jim Molitor and seconded by Tony Maciej to approve the treasurer’s report.

All members voted in favor, motion carried.

Maintenance worker Lonny reported that there are two blowers at the sewer plant and one needs to be replaced soon. Council agreed that Lonny should get quotes for the next meeting on a recondition and a new blower. Quotes were passed out to council for the brush and dirt piles to get hauled away from the compost pile. After discussion, Jim Molitor made a motion to have Mark Throener haul away as many loads of dirt piles he can and then have Maciej Construction haul the rest of the loads of compost to the land fill. Norm Carlson seconded the motion. All members voted in favor, motion carried. It was also reported that there is a large amount of flush-able cloths/baby wipes showing up in the sewer system.

Even though it states flush-able on the package they do not dissolve in the sewer. Residents should be aware that if the problem persists a grinder will have to be purchased and this would put another increase in rates for sewer.

Council member, Jim Molitor, reported to the council that after two quotes were received, a new lawn mower was purchased from Powerhouse Outdoor Equipment for $6,354.00 with trade in. The mower will be delivered within the next few weeks.

A motion was made by Mayor Peterson to proclaim Friday, May 1, 2015 as Fran Koetter Day. Jim Molitor seconded the motion. All members voted in favor, motion carried. Fran was diagnosed with Parkinson’s a few years ago. There will be hot dogs and pop served in the city park on May 1 from 5 to 8 that evening. Fran’s family will be participating in the Walk for Parkinson’s in Plymouth, MN on May 2. Fran and her husband Bob have been a very big part of the community for many years, and together ran Bob & Fran’s Grocery Store here in Swanville.

Mayor Peterson presented council with the refuse/recycling and cleanup day grant from Morrison County. The city would re-

ceive $1176.00 for refuse/recycling and $375.00 for cleanup day grant.

Tony Maciej made a motion to sign the Morrison County grant. Jim Molitor seconded the motion. All members voted in favor, motion carried. Cleanup day is tentatively set for Saturday, May 2, providing roll-offs and recycling providers are available.

Mayor Peterson is going over the city ordinances. A copy of the city codes was passed out and discussed with council. She will be going over each section of the ordinances and changes with council.

Lisa Nelson requested a land use permit to put a 13’x6’ privacy fence and to take off the now attached deck and lay a 16’x14’ cement slab. Roto Molding is requesting a land use permit to lay a 15’x15’ cement slab next to business. Both of the applications have been approved by Planning & Zoning. After discussion, Jim Molitor made a motion to grant both applications a permit. Tony Maciej seconded the motion. All members voted in favor, motion carried.

Mayor Peterson presented to council an application for the City of Swanville to become a Heart Safe Community. Classes would be offered to educate residents on such things as using AED and living healthy. Mayor Peterson made a motion to have Swanville become a Heart Safe Community. Norm Carlson seconded the motion. All members voted in favor, motion carried.

A reminder of the local Board of Appeal and Equalization will take place on Monday, April 13 at 1:00 p.m. in the Swanville Center.

A letter was presented to council that will be mailed out to property owners with the new water/sewer rates beginning May 26, 2015.

Council approved the letter which will be mailed out with a newsletter letting all residents know of the cleanup day in Swanville and other news.

There was discussion about used appliances and used tires sitting around on property around the city. Letters will be sent to have land owners take care of these nuisances.

The following claims were presented for payment. Members of the council were furnished with a listing. Jim Molitor made a motion to approve the claims. Norm Carlson seconded the motion. All members voted in favor, motion carried.

The next monthly meeting will be held May 5, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

The City Council discussed need for flashing speed limit signs and increased enforcement along Highway 238. It will be around June when one will be available for rent from the City of Pierz, otherwise purchasing one will cost around $2,800.

The computer hard drive has been restored.

New Business: Interest in a extending nearby bike trails into the Upsala area was discussed. There are no current opportunities to do so, but the City will keep looking into funding.

A need for replacing the current restrooms in City Park was discussed. The City will look into pricing and other possible funding sources.

But we’ve still got about $50,000 in student loan debt hanging over our heads. We make over $100,000 a year combined, so how would you suggest handling this?

-Stephanie Dear Stephanie, Whoa, hang on a minute! I think you’re a little confused about the steps in my plan. You’re not out of the Baby Steps quite yet. You just got Baby Step 6, which is pay off your mortgage, done ahead of time.

Go back to Baby Step 2, which involves paying off all your debt except for your house, and take care of the student loans. You guys make good money, so it shouldn’t take long at all. After that, if you haven’t already, move to Baby Step 3 and set aside a fully loaded emergency fund of three to six months of expenses. Baby Step 4 is investing 15 percent of your income for retirement, and Baby Step 5 means putting aside money for the kids’ college education — if you have kids. The seventh Baby Step is building wealth and giving.

I hope that helps straighten things out.

The good news is you won’t have to fight through a house payment while you’re paying off the student loan debt. So for now, just get into attack mode and make it disappear. Then, move on to the other steps. Other than getting the sequence a Continued from Pg 9

First, don’t do any more damage where debt is concerned. I want you to pay cash for your food, lights, water, gas for your car and housing. Obviously, you have to live, but I want you to all this without adding any new debt. The next priority would be to pay for college, and pay cash for your tuition and stuff from this point forward. Remember, no new debt!

After that, let’s save up and pay cash for a nice, inexpensive ring. The student loan debt comes last through deferment.

I’d really attack it with a vengeance after I was married, out of school and had an even better job and bigger income.

You’re going to be a busy guy for a while, but I’ll bet this lady’s worth it.

Gaining control of your finances now will be a great gift for you both when you start your new life together.

Tiffany Hulinsky of Burtrum, was recognized during Student Awards Celebration at the University of Minnesota Crookston.

The annual Student Awards Program, a celebration of student service, leadership, and academic and athletic achievement, was held recently at the University of Minnesota Crookston.

Hulinsky a Fall 2014 Graduate from Burtrum, majoring in Agricultural Business was recognized with Outstanding Ambassador Award.

The awards ceremony was held on Thursday, April 23, 2015, in the Kiehle Auditorium at the U of M Crookston. Members of the awards committee are Lisa Samuelson, Rachel McCoppin, Marcella Melby, Patti Tiedemann, Phil Baird, Ken Bulie, and Emily Campbell.

Morrison County Sheriff’s Office May 8, 2015: At approximately 7:07 a.m., the office received a report of a two vehicle accident involving a school bus and a Chevy SUV. The accident occurred at the intersection of 95th Street and 110th Ave, in Swan River Township, southeast of Sobieski.

The school bus driver was identified as 76 year old Stephen Szech and the driver of the Chevy SUV was identified as 49 year old Kim Czech. The school bus had 8 students on board when the accident occurred. The driver and the students on the bus were not injured. Czech had minor injuries and was transported to the local clinic in Little Falls by a private vehicle.

Initial investigation indicates that the school bus was northbound on 110th Ave and the Chevy SUV was eastbound on 95th Street. The Chevy SUV failed to yield for the school bus and a collision occurred. The school bus ended up striking a road sign and stop sign before coming to a final rest in the ditch. The school bus is owned by Palmer Bus Company and had severe damage. The Chevy SUV is owned by Czech and was totaled.

The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Minnesota State Patrol.

April 26, 2015: Alvin Jordnt of St. Cloud, MN, reported a theft of outbuildings and a hay rack from a property in Bruce Township. Items stolen were a 8x10 entry way, 8x10 chicken coop both white and an older Minnesota running gear. Theft occurred between the end of October 2014 and 4-1815. Any information on this incident please contact the Todd County Sheriffs Office.

April 27, 2015: Clara Taft of Burtrum reported a phone scam. Reporting that a male caller had called to let her know she had won Publishers Clearing house prize money and that she would need to wire him $250.00 before she could claim the prize. Please be cautious when receiving these calls.
