Never give up your dreams just because someone said something negative about you. It doesn’t matter what anyone says; the only thing that matters is what you say and do and think about your ability.

Throughout my life I’ve taken it to heart when someone doubts me or says I can’t really do something. First I examine myself and evaluate if I think they are right or wrong. And if I think they are wrong, just stand back and watch my determination grow.

When I thought about running my first marathon at age 56, many of my friends thought I was crazy. I’ve completed 10 marathons to date and two half-marathons the last two years.

Naysayers said I couldn’t buy this struggling, tiny, rundown envelope manufacturing company and turn it into anything. Dozens of years later we’re not just in business still, we’re thriving.

If you have a dream that is reachable, and you really want something and are willing to work to achieve it, the sky is the limit. History has shown us this many times.

Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team. He was later named the greatest athlete of the 20th Century by ESPN. Barbra Streisand’s Broadway debut opened and closed on the same night.

One of Mark Cuban’s first jobs out of college was as a salesman at a computer store. However, he was more interested in cultivating new business than running a cash register. After he failed to open

the store one day because he was busy with a potential client, his managers cut him loose. That was the last time he ever worked for someone else. Shortly after his termination, Cuban started his first company, MicroSolutions. Since then, he’s made billions of dollars.

“The Good Old Days” -By Tom Kuehne Acceptance

Sometimes

we may find ourselves not understanding the younger generation. We try to understand why they dress, talk and think the way they do. They are members of a generation very different from ours. It is not for us to judge or criticize them, it is for us to look at the cause for the difference.

When we were in school, our classmates primarily came from farms.

We had limited social contact other than our church, the farm family, our relatives and our school. Our thinking and understanding was guided by our rural community. The farm actually was our lives. Because the food we ate, the roof over our heads and the work which was required to create and preserve these needs, we understood the world based on the farm background. Our upbringing created our thinking, just as it does for the young people of today.

Due to the dry years, the stock market crash, the depression and World War II, we were primarily taught to be thrifty. We didn’t have credit cards nor the constant pressure to obtain items, which we felt were needed so that we could be part of the “in group.” Some of the things which are acceptable today, were actually considered immoral when we were growing up. Yes, it is a different world and we are responsible for the world we are offering the youth of today.

One factor which is part of life today is the communication options. Every young person is in constant contact with persons in their age group, plus they have the ability to instantaneously see and hear happenings around our country or around the world. In our day, we would hear about a happening either in tomorrows newspaper or on the 10:00 news. As we have observed recently, news reports from the media may be colored with opinions which are not necessarily fact based. Being “in touch” does take the place of the actual work we did in our youth.

I’m writing this story because of a conversation I had recently. The conversation involved an older person who was looking for a counselor. The person shopped around until she found a person her age with whom to discuss her problems. She felt that the counselor would more easily understand her problem if that person actually lived in a time and background similar to her own. She was very satisfied with the results. She had previously visited with younger counselors, who had difficulty understanding how life actually was in the Good Old Days.

We sometimes don’t understand the younger generation and they don’t always understand us. Sometimes these understandings can be reduced by one on one communication. Good Luck !

They worked on the book for five years. The publisher rejected the 850page manuscript. Child and her partners worked for another year totally revising the manuscript, only to be rejected again.

She and her collaborators went back to work, found a new publisher, and in 1961 they published “Mastering the Art of French Cooking,” which has sold more than 1 million copies.

Obituaries Eva Mae Donovan

Eva Mae ( Te m b r o c k ) Donovan, 96 years old, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2017 at Centra Care Nursing Home in Monticello, MN. Eva was born on August 12, 1920 to Henry C. Tembrock and Eleanore Santer. She grew up in Melrose, MN and graduated from high school in 1938. Eva attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN and graduated in 1941 as a registered nurse. Eva (“Temmy”) joined the U.S. Army Nurse Corp in January of 1942 where she served as a second lieutenant in World War II. She embarked from Brooklyn, New York in October of 1942 for the nine day Atlantic crossing to Liverpool, England. She was stationed near Birmingham, England and later was transferred to the American general hospital outside Oxford, England where she cared for U.S. Air Force personnel wounded while on bombing missions over Germany and France. In April of 1944, orders came and their unit was transferred to an unknown area to receive extensive field training that would be used in France after “D Day”. On July 23, 1944, her unit crossed the English Channel to France in a convoy of ships that landed at Utah Beach. Her unit was stationed at various places, sometimes within four to five miles from the front lines. In late 1944, she was transferred to the American hospital in Paris and later joined her unit at a hospital in Nancy, France. Eva arrived back in the U.S. on October 12, 1945 and was honorably discharged as a Captain

Leonard “Lenny” Hamann on April 14, 1950. While stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Eva met and married Peter Joseph Donovan on November 14, 1949. They subsequently lived in New Orleans, LA and then in Bowie, MD. Eva earned numerous honors for her service in the Army Nurse Corp, including three bronze medals for taking soldiers in right off the battlefield. In June of 1994, she was honored to join other American WWII veterans for the 50th Anniversary celebration of “D Day” at Normandy, in France.

Eva is survived by her brother, Henry L. Tembrock and his wife Marion of Grey Eagle, MN, thirteen nieces and nephews, and numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, her parents, and three sisters, Bernice (Arvig) Herold, Genevieve Schneider and Joan Bringe.

Eva enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, cross-stitch, needle point, cooking, and entertaining. She is fondly remembered by her friends and the many children in Bowie, Maryland whose lives she touched in a profound way. Eva was a beloved and avid parishioner of the Sacred Heart Church in Bowie for over 35 years.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 10:30 AM at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Elk River, MN. Interment was at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Blaine Steven Hennek Funeral service for Blaine Steven Hennek, age 56, Avon, MN, will be held June 22, 2017 at 6:00 PM at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church, Avon, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 6:00 PM at the church.

Leonard “Lenny” Hamann, age 71, of Albany, died on June 14th, 2017 at Mother of Mercy Nursing Home in Albany, MN. He was born February 19th, 1946 to Bernard and Emma (Richter) Hamann.

He was confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farming, MN on June 26, 1960. He was married to Sharon Schultz on October 9th, 1979. Lenny loved to cook, play cards and sing. Lenny’s last position was at the Persian Supper Club.

He contracted French Polio in 1983. He

was in charge of the Senior Citizens Card Club for over 15 years. He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and sang in the choir for 23 years. Lenny sang karaoke at over 50 different venues, various senior functions and nursing homes. Sherry was his wife and soul mate for over 30 years and he often called her his “Guardian Angel.”

Lenny is survived by his sister, Carol (Earl) Hoffman; many nieces and nephews; and good friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon (May 31, 1999); parents, Bernard and Emma; brother, Roger; and great niece, Krysta Mozena.

Memorial Service will be held at 11am on Friday, June 23rd at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 23845 Co. Rd. 40, Farming Township, MN. Visitation at church 1 hour before service.

Susan M. Vogel, age 91 of Melrose, died Monday, June 19, 2017 at the CentraCare Health Nursing Home in Melrose, Minnesota.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m.

Thursday, June 22 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Melrose with Rev. Marvin Enneking officiating. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Melrose.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m.

Susan Mathilda Arnzen was born January 29, 1926 in St. Rosa, Minnesota to Herman and Clara (Van Heel) Arnzen.

She was united in marriage to Ervin H. Vogel on September 28, 1946 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Melrose.

Susan worked at Jennie-O Foods for 59 years until her retirement in 2003. She

was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Melrose, Christian Mothers, and the Schanhaar-Otte VFW Post 7050 Auxiliary. Susan enjoyed playing BINGO, pull tabs, and scratch-offs. She loved playing “You Are My Sunshine” on her harmonica and dancing while her children played in their band.

Survivors include her children, Arlene Roerick of Minnetonka, Joan (James) Botz of Rockville, Geraldine (Fred) Viere of Freeport, Daniel (Phyllis) Vogel of Melrose, Darrell (Deb) Vogel of Champlin, David (Lisa) Vogel of Melrose, Tim (Laura) Vogel of Melrose, and Allen Vogel (April Dewald) of Melrose; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Vogel on February 20, 2010; parents; son, James Vogel; son-inlaw, Arnold Roerick; brothers, Al Arnzen, Elmer Arnzen, and Andrew Arnzen; and sisters, Bernelda Rohde, Gertrude Ostendorf, Rose Tiemann, Martha Stanczyk, Bridget Waldvogel, Esther Tobroxen, and Marie Becker.

Serving as casket bearers will be Dean Roerick, Vicki Herdering, Jeff Botz, Chris Vogel, Rebecca Vogel, Matthew Vogel, Keith Vogel, and Bailey Rahn.

Cross bearer will be Emily Wensmann and scripture bearer will be Miles Vogel.

Edwin M. “Eddie” Sand Edwin M. “Eddie” Sand, age 90 of Melrose, passed away Monday, June 19, 2017 at his home in Melrose, Minnesota.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m.

Friday, June 23 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich with Rev. Dan Walz officiating. Inurnment will be in the parish cemetery.

Edwin Sand was born March 31, 1927 in Grove Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to Herman and Elizabeth (Humbert) Sand. He married Hildegard Fuechtmann on September 7, 1948 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Munich. After their marriage, they began farming southwest of New Munich.

June 14, 2017: At 18:34 the Todd County Sheriff’s Office received a call of some damage to property that occurred at the address of 23038 Ginseng Road in rural Long Prairie. Between the dates of 06-09-2017 and 06-14-2017, suspects broke a door on an unattached garage at the property. The incident is still under investigation. June 17, 2017: At 03:56 the Todd County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious person complaint in Birchdale Township. It was later determined that the suspicious person had previously been involved in a motor vehicle crash on 245th Ave. South of Cedar Lake Road. The driver, Patrick Frericks, of Sauk Centre lost control of his 1997 Cavalier and hit a fence and a driveway approach. The car received extensive damage and Frericks was not injured. Alcohol was believed to be a factor and charges are pending with the Todd County Attorney’s Office as a result of the incident.

Once, during the transatlantic crossing of a large ocean liner a major storm erupted, breaking the silence of calm seas. A huge wave swept over the bow of the ship and swept a sailor into the raging waters. His cry for help went unheard.

Dear Dave, My husband and I aren’t seeing eyeto-eye on a motorcycle. The bike was my dad’s, and I got it four years ago when he passed away. I’d like to keep it because I grew up riding it with him, and I still ride it today.

My husband thinks we should sell it to pay off debt. We make about $60,000 a year, and we have about $36,000 to go before we’re debt-free except for our home. The bike is worth about $2,300.

-Amanda Dear Amanda, There’s no way I’d sell that bike. If it were just a miscellaneous motorcycle, I’d sell the thing in about 20 seconds.

But this bike is unique and special because it was your dad’s. There’s only one of those in the world.

It’s like a lady in the same scenario saying she has a $2,300 diamond on her hand that’s her wedding ring. Would I tell her to sell it? No way! This bike is very much woven into the fabric of your life and your fondest memories. As a rule, you just don’t sell things like that.

Now, there may be extreme cases sometimes where a person might have to consider selling something of that magnitude. If you were in a truly awful situation making $10,000 a year and the ring is worth $200,000 while you’re $100,000 in debt, you’d have to give it some thought.

But there’s no way I’d sell that bike in your case!

-Carla Dear Carla, Yes, he did do something wrong. He put his controlling mommy ahead of his bride-to-be, and it sounds like it’s not the first time he’s made big decisions without consulting you. Any man who doesn’t consider the feelings of his wife or fiancée in an important decisionmaking process is not marriage material.

I think your decision was heartbreaking, but wise.

Going into a partnership with family like this is unwise. There’s a lot of messed up stuff in his family dynamic.

And it’s not like you won’t support your man and his dreams and decisions, but those dreams need to contain wisdom and consideration for you. Otherwise, any dream will fast become a nightmare.

I know it hurts, Carla, but this was not the right guy for you. Money problems are one of the biggest causes of divorce in America today. Trouble with in-laws is another, and you almost signed up for both. I’m sorry you had to make such a tough call.

If you want to salvage this, you could explain to him that he needs to make better decisions to win your hand again. In this case, making better decisions means involving you in the process, and giving your thoughts, feelings, and opinions the respect they deserve.

Swanville Senior Citizens June 13, 2017 The Swanville Senior Citizens meeting was called to order by president Neal Hagstrom on June 13, 2017, at 11:15 a.m.

Board members present were: Norm Carlson, Neal Hagstrom, Lee Johnston, DiAnn Loven, Brenda Schmidt and Lori Thoma. Board members absent were Becky Dawson and Diane Vavra. In absence of secretary Becky Dawson.

Lori Thoma read the May 9th minutes. A motion to approve the May minutes was made by Brenda Schmidt and second by DiAnn Loven.

In absence of treasurer, Diane Vavra, no treasures report was given.

The board accepted Lee Johnston as a new member of senior board of directors.

Old Business: DiAnn Loven reported the results of a survey she conducted at our recent May dinner were generally in favor of sponsoring events or programs for our senior members. Further discussion will be held at the July meeting.

New Business: The seniors acknowledged the installation of the newly installed railing in front of the Swanville Center Building.

Brenda Schmidt was asked to send a thank you note to the City of Swanville for paying the entire cost and installation of the railing.

Brenda Schmidt reminded all members to sign the carnival work schedule for hours they could work during the upcoming Swanville Carnival. She also noted grab bags donations may be dropped off at the Center and bags will be filled on June 15th.

Brenda Schmidt asked all senior members to work hard on selling raffle tickets because this is the senior’s main fund-raiser.

A motion was made by Brenda Schmidt and second by Lee Johnston to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 11:40 a.m.

Present were Council Members Tony Klasen, Justin Frieler, Dick Christenson, and Josh Thieschafer, Mayor Joe Finken, City Administrator Michael Brethorst, and City Clerk Patti Haase. Mayor Finken presided thereat.

The Council then recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

A motion was made by Mr. Thieschafer, seconded by Mr. Klasen and unanimously carried to approve the agenda as amended.

Mayor Finken then opened the floor to public comment. There were no comments.

The following items were considered for approval under the Consent Agenda: • the minutes from the Council’s April 20 Local Board of Appeal and Equalization Meeting, the April 20 Special Joint Meeting with the Utilities Commission, and the April 20 Regular Meeting.

• list of bills in the amount of $456,571.32.

• list of investments for the month of April.

1) proposed Resolution No. 2017-27, Resolution Approving Gambling License to the Melrose Area Chamber of Commerce for an exemption from lawful gambling

license to conduct a bingo on June 23-24, 2017 at the Riverfest Celebration at 206 5th Ave NE. 2) proposed Resolution No. 2017-32, Resolution Approving Gambling License that would grant a gambling license to the Melrose Lions for a permit at JD’s Tap House – 209 Main Street E. The Council to give consideration to approval of the following Temporary On-Sale 3.2% Malt Liquor License application: Melrose Chamber of Commerce for the Riverfest Celebration, June 23-24, 2017.

Approval of the license should be contingent upon receipt of the necessary certificates of insurance as to dram shop and general liability coverage.

On May 14, Police Officer Matt McDonald will complete three years of service although Mr. McDonald is on military leave. Police Chief Craig Maus conducted a review and it is favorable; therefore, recommends approval of a step increase from Step 1 to Step 2.

Ambulance Coordinator Jenn Tschida is requesting approval be given to the appointment of Holly Berscheit to the Ambulance Department, contingent upon her passing the pre-employment physical and drug test. If approved, she could start with the Department on June 1.

On May 19, Police Chief Craig Maus will complete three years of service as Chief for the City. City Administrator Brethorst has conducted a review and it is favorable; therefore, recommends approval of a step increase from Step 6 to Step 7.

A motion was made by Mr. Klasen, seconded by Mr. Frieler and unanimously carried to approve the Consent Agenda items.

Finance Director Tessa Beuning presented the General Fund Financial First Quarter Report. Director Beuning noted that the General Fund revenue is at 6% and the expenditures are at 15%. Revenues are low because the first half of property tax revenue is not received until June. Also, the first half of LGA is not received until July. Property tax and LGA together make up 76.3% of the revenue budget. The first half of set aside transfers will be made in June, so this impacts overall department budget to actuals for financial administration, police, streets and parks. MADA expenditures have well exceeded budget at 165%. This relates to the necessary costs relating to professional fees for various projects. These costs are planned to be recouped by future TIF funding or state grant proceeds.

Police Chief Craig Maus presented the Police Department’s April report. He noted there were 241 calls for service during that month, compared to 450 for April 2016. There was a total of nine written citations and 42 verbal warnings for the month of April 2017.

The year-to-date number of calls is 1013 compared to 1382 in 2016.

For the month of April 2017, the Department received 29 agency-assist calls. The Police Department has begun annual spring Nuisance Housing Code inspections. Chief Police Maus also noted that May 15 was Peace Officer Memorial Day and National Police Week is from May 15-21, 2017.

Community Development Director Creelman provided an update on the Planning and Zoning Commission’s May 1 meeting. The Commission held Public Hearings on the Conditional Use Permit requests from J-T Inc. and Joe Arce-

neau and the Variance request from J-T Inc., which will be addressed later in the meeting.

City Attorney Scott Dymoke reported on projects he has been working on for the City.

• Community Development: Jennie-O Turkey Store (JOTS) Project: Worked with City staff to prepare utility easements and BDPI Declaration. Worked with City staff to determine EAW requirements for the project.

• Community Development: Willow Project: Worked with City staff to prepare restated purchase agreements to address additional requirements of JOTS project.

• Community Development: St. Mary’s Church: Worked with City staff to determine EAW requirements for new facility and preparation of correspondence to Church officials notifying them of EAW requirements • Community Development: Zoning & Subdivision: Worked with City staff to determine zoning and subdivision requirements for possible future development projects.

After further discussion, Mr. Thieschafer introduced Resolution No. 2017-28, Approving Case No. 2017-402, Application from J-T of Melrose, Inc. to Expand the Existing Warehouse Facility as Allowed by a Conditional Use Permit in a Commercial Highway District (Parcels 66.36887.0004, 66.36887.0001, 66.37009.0502 and 66.37009.0504) as amended changing stipulation No. 4 to read durable material to be defined as per the City Zoning Code (Improved and maintained with asphalt or concrete pavement or such other surface as may be approved by the City, to provide a durable and dust-free surface. Does not include gravel or crushed rock). The motion was seconded by Mr. Klasen with a roll call vote recorded as follows: For: Council Member Thieschafer, Klasen, Christenson, Frieler and Mayor Finken; Against: None.

Director Creelman stated that at the Planning and Zoning Commission’s May 1 meeting, a public hearing was held and recommendation was made to the Council that the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Arce Auto be approved. The request for the CUP is to build a new auto repair facility in the Commercial Highway District.

At that meeting, an issue was addressed about the ingress/ egress for the property and how this may affect traffic congestion.

The Commission requested that the Council address this issue further. The Community Development Director and the Streets/Parks Supervisor have explored this issue and staff believes that closing the east ingress/egress and widening the western ingress/egress will improve the traffic flow and limit the safety hazard. The resolution has been amended under stipulation No. 5 to explain the solution for the traffic and safety problem. The CUP is received to accommodate a request submitted by Joe Arceneau for the construction of a new auto repair facility.

Council Member Klasen stated that in order to address the ingress/egress, verbiage should be as per the Planning and Zoning Commission report. Council Member Thieschafer stated that the parking lot also needs to conform to the City Zoning Code. Mr. Arceneau stated that if he is required to pave the parking lot, his taxes would increase exponentially.

After further discussion, Council Member Thieschafer introduced Resolution No. 2017-30, Resolution Approving Case No. 2017-401 Application from Joseph Arceneau to Build A New Auto Facility as Allowed by CUP in a Commercial Highway District (Parcel 66.36667.0008) as amended No. 5 of the determining factors to read as follows: Planning and Zoning Commission determined that access to or from the property by means of Country Club Rd. SW is sufficient to minimize the potential for any traffic congestion as long as the east ingress/egress is entrance only and stipulation No. 5 to read durable material to be defined as per the City Zoning Code.

The motion was seconded by Mr. Frieler with a roll call vote recorded as follows: For: Council Member Thieschafer, Frieler, Christenson, Klasen, and Mayor Finken; Against: None.

Mayor Finken stated that on April 18, 2016, the City and Willow Express entered into: (a) a Purchase Agreement with for the sale of part of Lot 6, Block 1, East Acres Plat Two, and (b) a Development Agreement regarding the

proposed expansion of Willow’s trucking facilities. At the time, Melrose and Willow anticipated closing on the sale on May 26, 2016. The closing on the sale was subsequently rescheduled for June 30, 2016, but due to difficulties in complying with the CUP for the proposed construction, the closing has not occurred. In addition, the City has since identified additional utility easement requirements that need to be retained in the property to be sold. Willow has addressed its difficulties in complying with the CUP and wishes to proceed to close on the sale.

Given the length of the delay in closing and the changed circumstances regarding utility easement requirements, a restated Purchase Agreement has been prepared as revision to the ingress and egress and parking lot with durable material as defined by code.

A motion was made by Mr. Thieschafer, seconded by Mr. Christenson and unanimously carried approving the restated Purchase Agreement and authorize City staff to execute documents necessary to complete the transaction.

Mr. Thieschafer left the meeting at 6:30 p.m.

Mayor Finken stated that a notice has been sent by Street/Parks Supervisor Gary Middendorf to the property owner at 604 3rd Ave NE requesting that the grass be cut. As per City Code 95.38, all property owners shall be responsible for the removal, cutting, or disposal and elimination of weeds, grasses, and rank vegetation or other uncontrolled plant growth on their property that, at the time of notice, is in excess of eight inches in height. It is recommended that the Council approve the destruction orders as it then becomes effective for one year from the date of notice, meaning that if at any time after the issuance of the notice a violation reoccurs, the City shall abate the weeds without further notification to the property owner. It should be noted that any unpaid grass cutting bills can and will be certified against the property prior to year-end.

A motion was made by Mr. Frieler, seconded by Mr. Klasen and unanimously carried approving the destruction order for 604 3rd Avenue NE. Mayor Finken noted that the Council, at its July 26, 2016 meeting, adopted Resolution No. 201627, Approving the Business Development Infrastructure Application to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for funding from the Business Development Infrastructure Grant for the Jennie-O Turkey Store Project. The City of Melrose received the grant from DEED for $1,000,000; therefore, in accordance with the agreement, a resolution must be passed to pledge commitment to fund the City’s share for the infrastructure project in the amount of $2,942,399.

A motion was made by Mr. Christenson, seconded by Mr. Frieler and unanimously carried adopting Resolution No. 2016-27, Approving the Business Development Infrastructure Application to the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for Funding from the Business Development Infrastructure Grant for the Jennie-O Turkey Store Project.

Mayor Finken stated that the City has several outstanding projects that are all contingent on State of Minnesota funding. A significant amount of work has been completed to date relating to the plans for the 5th Ave NE Bridge, 1st Street NE reconstruction, Kraft Lot replat, Kraft retaining wall and 400 Block planning.

The Council has directed that planning efforts stop pending final determination for the various State funding streams. Due to the fact, the City meets monthly and keep on time, it is proposed to coordinate final plans and processes. It is proposed that once the State of Minnesota passes the tax bill and bonding bills, the City start the final planning and engineering process for: • 1st Street NE reconstruction • Kraft retaining wall

Connecting With Millennials Part 1 - By John Young If you are over 50, you have heard this scary word used to describe the 18 to 32 year old age demographic in any number of unflattering ways.

From a more mature small business owner’s prospective, this group tends to think and act differently than customers of the past. Millennials will represent about 50% of the US workforce in a few years and be the group making most purchases.

Marketing and sales approaches that worked so well with the baby boomers and gen X group just won’t work with this new up-and-coming demographic.

SEH was chosen for this work since the utilities will directly impact the Water/Wastewater Facility. SEH is the consulting engineer for the Utilities Commission relating to environmental issues.
