Members Elect Four to IOGAWV Board Four members of the Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia, Inc., have been elected to fill three-year terms on the Association’s board of directors beginning immediately after the Summer Meeting. The new board members are: Maribeth Anderson, Antero Resources; David Haney, D. G. Haney, Inc.; Jon Hildreth, Megan Oil & Gas Co.; and Chris Weikle, Southwestern Energy. The four new members will replace outgoing IOGAWV board members: Mike McCown, LexCam Enterprises, LLC; Sam McKown, C.

I. McKown & Son, Inc.; and Rick Toothman, Rick Toothman Consulting. Although his term is ending, Brett Loflin, Northeast Natural Energy, LLC, will serve one year as immediate past president. Maribeth Anderson, a native and lifelong West Virginian, is the Director of Government Relations for Antero Resources. She came to Antero at the

end of 2017, after serving in similar roles for Southwestern Energy and Chesapeake Energy since 2007. Prior to entering the energy sector, she was a consultant for Charles Ryan Associates and the news director for WSAZ Television. Maribeth is currently on the Executive Committee for the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce, and is the past board chair for the Huntington Regional Chamber of Commerce. She has served in industry leadership roles across four states, having been elected as the New Board Continued on page 20

Second Year of Science Teacher Workshop The Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia (IOGAWV) hosted its second annual Science Teacher Education Workshop June 10 and 11, which was attended by more than 40 science teachers from across the state.

The goal of the workshop, held at the Embassy Suites, was to help foster STEM and energy education by connecting science teachers to the energy industry. This year, participating teachers were eligible for three hours of

college credit through Marshall University that could be used toward job advancement and pay increases. “I am incredibly happy this event came to fruition this year,” Jeff Isner, CEO of Pillar Energy and an STEM Event Continued on page 18
