Two IOGA Vo-Tech Scholarships Added Since the introduction of our Scholarship program in 1998, the oil and gas industry has changed and so have requirements for the jobs it creates. IOGA WV has long recognized the need for community colleges, vocational and technical schools with programs that train potential future employees in the appropriate skill sets. To encourage students to pursue these careers, we are excited to introduce an additional scholarship category that is being added to our program. Two annual onetime, $1,000 scholarships are being sponsored by ConServ Incorporated. They are for students who
are choosing a career path that benefits the oil and gas industry in a vocational/technical field such as, but not limited to, welder, truck driver, well tender, electrician, mechanic, etc. Please see pages 18 and 19 for the two-page application form. We suggest you post this application in a highly visible location in the office or workplace. You are free to make as many copies of this form as needed. IOGAWV will accept applications postmarked between January 2, 2020 and March 20, 2020. From all the applications rece ived, the IOGA WV Scholarship Committee will review the qual-
ifying applications and two scholarships will be awarded in the early part of April 2020. The winners of the technical school scholarships, as Chris Weikle well as traditional Communication & scholarships, will Education Chair be announced at their high school awards assemblies or commencement programs.
