ask?

Well, the majority of DV members might be too young to have any memory of 1963 – in fact, many of you may not have been born then, but there will be those amongst us who were already involved actively in the many facets of the KCC (Kennel Control Council) at that time. 2023 would then mark 60 years of active membership of Dogs Victoria – an amazing milestone. If you, or someone you know, fits the bill – please contact the Dogs Victoria office (Janet Davidson on 9788 2512 or jdavidson@ dogsvictoria.org.au ), for a nomination form in order that the contribution of these long standing members can be acknowledged.

Outstanding Member contribution to Dogs Victoria Award

Throughout the years there are members who have been outstanding contributors towards the successful of Dogs Victoria who do not quite meet the Life Membership criteria. If you know of a member who should be considered for this award- please contact the Dogs Victoria Office (Janet Davidson on 9788 2512 or jdavidson@dogsvictoria.org.au ) for a nomination form.

Outstanding Canine Contribution Award

Throughout the year, dog events are conducted by affiliates, and dogs of all shapes and sizes compete. The outstanding canine contribution award is not necessarily targeted at those who compete in these events, but to the dogs who contribute outside the environment of competitions.

We think of the therapy dogs, assistance dogs, those visiting schools, nursing homes, and involved in all facets of interaction with the general public – so raising the profile of dogs throughout the community.

Crufts – the largest dog show in the world – runs a Friends for Life Award each year – highlighting amazing contribution by our canine companions.

Completed forms should be returned to the chief executive by 31 October 2023. Applications received after 31 October 2023 will not be considered until 2024.
