What do we do?

House-Coaching™ is a unique approach to interior design that focuses on transforming your living space into a nurturing environment that reflects your personal values and lifestyle using life coaching tools. It is a holistic approach that takes into account the functional, aesthetic, and emotional aspects of your home and helps you create a space that truly supports and inspires you.

At the heart of House-Coaching™ is a deep understanding of the connection between our environment and our wellbeing. Your living space is not just a collection of objects and furniture, but a reflection of your inner world.

House-Coaching™ originated in Scandinavia, inspired by the Danish concepts of ‘hygge’ (coziness) and ‘lykke’ (happiness). Kirsten Steno, a Danish interior designer, life coach and author, developed the House-Coaching™ method based on her own personal journey of creating a home that truly supported her personal emotional needs, reflected her values and brought her joy and belonging.

Whether you are looking to create a calming sanctuary, an inspiring work space, or a warm and welcoming family home, House-Coaching™ can help you achieve your goals. With its focus on your personal values and needs, HouseCoaching™ is a truly transformative experience that can help you create a space that feels like home in every sense of the word.

Our Packages The Journey Home

Overview The Journey Home is our first HouseCoaching™ service package designed for you if you are an individual, a couple, or a family looking to enhance your overall wellbeing and start a transformative journey by focusing on the transformation of a single space in your home.

This package provides you with the opportunity to unlock your creativity and make heartfelt design choices that resonate with your personal values under the guidance of a certified House-Coach™. It’s a tailored experience that empowers you to create a space that genuinely reflects who you are, meets your emotional needs, and supports your personal growth.

Deciding if this is right for you This package is ideal for you if…

You are actively pursuing wellbeing in various aspects of your life and are open to exploring the connections between your home and personal growth.

You wish to begin your House-Coaching™ journey by focusing on a single space in your home.

You seek guidance from a House-Coach™ to initiate this process, but you also actively desire to make heartfelt, conscious design decisions in your space that will impact your personal growth.

What’s included?

1:1 Meetings with your House-Coach™: Two 1-hour individual House-Coaching™ sessions (per person); One 1-hour design proposal presentation meeting; One 1-hour feedback presentation meeting (if needed); One 1-hour implementation process follow-up meeting.

A Design Proposal: An overview of your House-Coaching™ session; A description of the House-Coaching™ tools that you will use to integrally transform your space; A floorplan and three 3D images that explain the design proposal, which will be tailored to your specific functional, aesthetic and emotional needs; A moodboard to inspire you; a proposed color palette and suggested textures/materials; A set of references for you to envision your space and unleash your creativity.

What you’ll learn Through this package, you can expect to experience personal growth alongside the physical transformation of your space. You’ll discover how your design choices reflect your inner values and essence, enabling profound selfawareness. By overcoming limiting beliefs, you’ll gain newfound confidence and creativity. Our Packages The Intentional Shopper

Overview With The Intentional Shopper, our second package, we help you to create a space that meets your needs holistically through the transformation of your space through our House-Coaching™ approach, along with a careful curation of suggested objects, furniture and decor that you will be able to choose from, always connecting with yourself in the process.

In addition to the House-Coaching™ Process, personalized design proposal and support included in The Journey Home package (see above), your House-Coach™ will work closely with you and provide a shopping list. They will assist you in the selection process and together, you will make choices that align with your specific criteria, determining what to include, how to integrate items, and where to position them within your space.

This package incorporates all elements of The Journey Home package, along with a personalized Shopping List. This list encompasses furniture and accessories, providing details such as their respective prices, store information, and purchase links.

As designers, we understand the key role of guidance in choosing the elements that harmonize with your inner truth. Here, we’ll never prescribe what you should buy or get; instead, we invite you to navigate a path towards selfdiscovery by finding what trully resonates with your essence to allow you to make choices that feel authentically “you”.

Our Packages The Total Transformation

Overview The Total Transformation package by Home Be Well offers the opportunity to extend your House-Coaching™ journey to multiple areas in your home. This package is highly flexible and our quote will be based on your unique requirements, including the number of rooms you wish to transform, who uses each of these areas and whether you want to have a shopping list for each space. Through this House-Coaching™ process within your multiple spaces, we ensure that they align with your individual values, emotional needs, and aspirations for personal growth.

You actively aspire to make heartfelt, value-driven design decisions that will significantly influence your personal growth across various areas of your multiple living spaces.

If this space is used by someone else in your home (including other adults or children over 5 years), we invite you all to participate in the House-Coaching™ process. This is because you will each have different needs and purposes that the space will need to fulfil.

House-Coaching™ Stories In the following short stories and examples, you will witness the transformative power of House- Coaching™. As you read through each account, you may find aspects that resonate with your own life and hopefully you will be inspired by the new design and positive ripple effect that House- Coaching™ can have on your quality of life.

The Story of Ala Ala, an architect, had not had a comfortable bedroom or living room for two years. In her dimly lit living room, she would lie down on a mattress, the room totally bare of decoration, because she was overwhelmed by the darkness caused by a giant tree in front of her window.

The tree was definitely not the problem. The tree simply represented something she could not “move” and a “darkness” in her life she did not know how to handle.

ALA: “I came to understand that the trees were a symbol of the dark, overwhelming feelings in My work and problematic relationships with my parents. We began talking about ways

that I could gain more freedom in my personal life. Next, I was coached to turn my thoughts around. Suddenly, I started to appreciate the beautiful green colors of the leaves and how they change color every season. I realized how much joy I receive when the birds are singing and that I appreciate the shelter the trees provide. My mind started to open and soon after, so did my creativity.

Finally, I started to see my apartment in a different way. House-Coaching™ helped me think of some colorful and joyful solutions that I loved, and I rushed off to IKEA to buy furniture that same day! I became fearless and painted the walls myself in happy colors. A month later, my living room AND balcony was finished!”

Through her House-Coaching™ process, Ala’s life was transformed, creating a ripple effect that lasted for years. After that, she met her husband and together, using House-Coaching™ tools, they created a balanced and harmonious home.

Over the next two years, they moved from one temporary home to another while they built their dream home during the pandemic. Today, five years later, they have three beautiful children and are living in the home of their dreams.

The story of Pedro & Laura Pedro and Laura, a couple in a small apartment, shared the living room. Despite its lovely 1960’s modern vibe and ample light, they felt disconnected and stagnant. Pedro found the space cluttered with meaningless objects, failing to reflect his values. Laura, an artist, struggled to imprint her creativity on the space, often freezing before making design decisions. Their HouseCoaching™ process revealed limiting thoughts hindering their sense of “home."

LAURA: “I discovered that one of the things that was blocking me from being creative and to finding the purpose of our space was my belief that people would judge me based on how our space looked. “Our home has to look perfect, or else, what would people think?” I learned that my tendency towards perfectionism was limiting my creativity. I felt a fear of being judged and not being good enough. During my House-Coaching™ session, we turned this limiting thought into:

“People who come to my home don’t judge me.

I only let people into my space who are not judgmental, including myself! I should not look perfect. I don’t judge myself.”

PEDRO: “I didn’t feel that I belonged in the space and I felt “displaced”. I felt that the decors didn’t represent my taste or style nor the purpose of the space which I felt was important. We discovered that my limiting thought was the way in which I perceived our space as too crowded and lacking meaning. This led us to understand that because the house where I grew up, which was full of decorations and antique furniture, was never a reflection of me as a person. I never felt belonging and also felt “displaced”. House-Coaching™ helped me to free myself from this limiting thought, transforming it to: “We can downsize on the things that I don’t find meaningful and leave room for me to express myself and my interests in our space.”

Soon after their House-Coaching™ process, Pedro and Laura moved to a new apartment.

They both had individual and common goals for their shared space. Pedro wanted a space for belonging, while Laura wanted a space for creative expression and connection to her roots.

They also aimed to have a comfortable living and dining room to connect with loved ones. Their shared values and character were reflected in their love for natural materials, lively colors, plants, spaciousness, and simplicity. Through this process, they not only created a new version of their shared space, but they also discovered more about themselves and their relationship, which helped them grow as individuals and improve their connection with each other.

Stephanie Crane Stephanie Crane is an architect and certified House-Coach™ who integrates empathy and life coaching into interior design to elevate homes and foster emotional well-being. She serves as a mentor at the House-Coaching™ Institute and is also a co-founder of Home Be Well. Overall, she is dedicated to transforming spaces for genuine well-being.

Maria Paula Forero María Paula Forero is an industrial designer, life coach, and certified House-Coach™.

Her purpose is to help people become their best versions and thrive through intentional design within their homes. She is a co-founder of the House-Coaching™ Institute and Home Be Well, both committed to expanding the impact of HouseCoaching™ around the world.
