2017 Parents’ Weekend February 17-19, 2017

Dear Holy Cross Parents: We are excited to host our first ever Parents’ Weekend at Holy Cross College for ALL parents. We are excited to invite parents and family members to return to campus February 17-19, to participate in events both at Holy Cross and in the Michiana community. These events provide opportunities to spend time with your Holy Cross student, other parents and students, as well as faculty and staff.

The weekend will consist of an opening reception where you will be able to interact with other parents, faculty, staff, and Brother John Paige. There will be a chance to show off your singing skills, as a family or by yourself, during karaoke later that evening. You can enjoy a continental breakfast on campus Saturday morning and our Gateway program students and family members will have the opportunity to get together over breakfast for Gateway families. Later that morning, Brother James Leik will share some history about Holy Cross as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the college. This is a session that you will not want to miss, especially since Brother James was here on the first day that the college opened.

There will be a panel of alumni right before lunch that will share their experiences as students and now as alumni of Holy Cross. They will speak firsthand about how Holy Cross prepared them for success in the “real world.” The afternoon will allow you to spend time on your own as a family. Enjoy a carriage ride around Holy Cross College, participate in a cooking class, paint some pottery, watch a movie, burn some energy at a trampoline park or enjoy bowling, mini golf and go carts. The possibilities are endless.

In the evening, we will come together for mass and then enjoy amazing international food, as well as music, games and other fun! The weekend ends with brunch in the Siegfried Dining Hall.
