The Book of Discipline – 2016 ¶315.2 states that in order for a person to receive a license to preach that person must complete the following items: a. The conditions for candidacy certification in ¶¶310.1‐2 b. The Orientation to Ministry c. The studies for license as local pastor or on third of their work for a Master of Divinity degree at a school of theology listed by the University Senate.
