Update from the Secretary of the Annual Conference Questions Will Be Allowed at Virtual Annual Conference June 18, 2020 Based upon the experience of fielding questions from the clergy at the virtual clergy session using the Q&A feature of the Zoom Webinar, we are going to entertain questions at the virtual annual conference. Here are the things you must consider. •

We will entertain questions germane to the presenter/presentation. Make sure you clearly state a question. Opinions and other debatable type statements will be taken down and not answered.

We cannot engage in debate. We cannot vote. We can only entertain questions.

Questions will be answered by the Rev. Terry Goodman, Secretary of the Annual Conference. If he is unable to answer the question, then the question will be shared with the presenter and the presenter will respond at some point following the annual conference.

In order to have your question addressed, you must: •

Use your actual name as your screen name. Do not use a screen name such as Preacher123ABC. You can adjust your screen name in the zoom settings.

You will need to include an email address at the end of your question so that a response can be made, in case Rev. Goodman is unable to answer your question.

All questions and answers will occur inside the Zoom Webinar and will be in written/text format. There will be no “live” onscreen opportunities to ask questions.

All questions of a technical nature relating to Zoom will be answered by the Rev. Dr. Tim Jones, Director of Communications and/or assigned conference staff members.

We ask for your PATIENCE. In the clergy session, a lot of questions were asked. Most of them technical in nature. It is sometimes difficult to weed through all the questions to find the ones that are pertinent. If, your question gets overlooked, rest assured that we will review all the questions afterwards and will seek to provide a response to your question.
