The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce held the Fifth Annual State of the Entertainment Industry Conference which brings the Hollywood community, business/industry executives, and public officials together to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing California’s signature industry. Television producer Vin Di Bona served as emcee. Councilman Mitch O’Farrell offered a Hollywood update. State Senate President Pro Tem Kevin de Leon presented a keynote address, as well as several other public officials. Zach Katz, President of U.S. Repertoire & Marketing for BMG, shared the latest music industry trends; a panel of experts discussed the Global Entertainment Industry; and a report was provided on the California film/television tax credits program. Ted Sarandos, Chief Content Officer for Netflix, was honored with the 2016 Commitment to California Award.
