My excitability?

My intellect?

So anything I do, Good or bad, Could always be used To keep me trapped.

I’m lightning in a bottle;

They don’t want to release me full throttle.

Even if I insisted on it, They would still try to put a lid on it -

Nothing could make Them more satisfied Than being in control of my oxygen supply.

But those “theys” are far away, Fragmented in memories Of increasingly distant days.

The blessing is that I won’t repress them, Nor try to capture their attention.

I will let them wander In and out of my thoughts If they so please, Not stressing to repress them Or keep them contained Like they did meBecause I just want Us all to be free.

Coastal Birds in Wilmington by @auroraghost256 There are many species of birds in Wilmington that have adapted to coastal/marine environments.

Many of these birds, while visually distinct, can have very similar traits as a result of convergent evolution from similar selective pressures.

Brown Pelican

Brown pelicans have a wingspan of around 6.5 to 7.5 feet.

They typically fly in groups. They hunt by diving head first into the water to catch fish.

Green Heron

Green herons tend to spend their time alone.

They are one of the smaller varieties of heron. They are one of the few known birds to use tools, most commonly dropping food items onto the surface of the water to attract fish.

Great Blue Heron Great blue herons are the largest species of heron in North America.

They can be as tall as 4.5 feet.

They typically wade in shallow water and catch fish that swim below them.

Great Egret

These birds have all-white feathers.

Slightly smaller than the great blue heron, they also have very similar hunting behavior.

Notice that none of these options require spending money!

Send a YouTube video about their special interest.

Check out library books to learn about one of their hobbies.

Tell them when their favorite musician will be touring next.

Send them a meme you think they would laugh at.

Give away your lightly used items to friends who could use them.

Send a picture when you see something in nature that is their favorite color.

Make a Spotify playlist for your car rides together.

Ask for pet or family photos (or send some of yours)
