Glass Bottom Boat Scenic Cruises

A must-do when in the Coromandel is the Glass Bottom Boat. Join a 2-hour tour to explore Cathedral Cove and the marine reserve. Take in the stunning coastline including sea caves, volcanic rock formations and pinnacles, then look down and view all the marine life in and around the reserve. This is the only tour to explore the marine reserve above and below the surface. Though the glass spot many different species of fish, stingrays, crayfish and more. On the surface look out for sea birds, penguins and seals, plus dolphins and orca. Sit back and watch the marine life through the glass or take the plunge and swim amongst the fish with equipment provided. Crew provide a fun and factual commentary of the geology and history of the area.

Departs: Daily from the Whitianga Wharf at 10.30am and 1.30pm (8am and 4pm over the summer months).
