Driver’s Age: Min 21yrs old and over – young driver age surcharge applies for drivers 21-24 years of age of NZ $20.70 per day. A minimum age of 25 is required for the hire of GDAR, FFAR, JDAR, JFAR, PDAR, PFAR, PVAR, XVAR vehicles.
Drivers Licence: A valid full English licence, held for at least one year must be presented at commencement of hire. It must be written in English or accompanied by a current International Driver’s permit.
Rates Include: Unlimited kilometres, Third Party Cover, Airport Fee, Damage Liability and Additional Driver.
Insurance Excess: A bond of NZ$4450.00 incl GST is payable on vehicle collection (credit card imprint).
Insurance Excess Reduction: educed to NZ$575.00 incl GST by paying a nonrefundable NZ$32.60 incl GST per day or to NIL by paying a non-refundable NZ$43.50 incl GST per day.
Security Bond: NZ$200 Pre-Authorisation will be held on accepted Credit Cards This deposit is to be paid by any internationally recognised credit cards and a fee of 2.185% will apply to credit card payments. NO CASH DEPOSIT IS ACCEPTED.
Airport Fee/Ferry Fee: A fee of NZ$51.75 including GST applies to vehicle collected from airport. Collection of a vehicle at Picton or Wellington Ferry terminals will incur a fee of $34.50 payable direct.
LATE PICK UP FEES: Late Pick up fee applies to call car types and is applicable between 7pm & 7am NZ$40.25 (subject to remote depot hours).

Minimum Hire/One Way Rentals: Standard Vehicles have a minimum hire requirement of 3 days including local hires (same city return) and one way’s High Demand and Specialty Vehicles collected from main centres (nonRegional Locations) have a minimum hire requirement of 5 days for local hires (same city return) and one-way’s.
Specialty Vehicles collected from any Regional Locations have a minimum hire requirement of 7 days, applies to both local hires (same city return) and one-way’s.
All one way rentals with a total duration of less then 7 days are subject to a One Way Fee of NZ$150 + GST for Standard & High Demand Vehicles & NZ$250 + GST for Specialty Vehicle Groups.
Credit Card Surcharge: 2-3% for all amounts transacted on a credit card.

Roadside Assistance Package: Roadside Assistance Package can be purchased for NZ$6 + GST per day. Ferry: All vehicles must be taken on the ferry between the North and South Islands and vice versa. The cost of the ferry crossing for the vehicle and passengers is not included in the rates, except for all hires from Christchurch, Dunedin or Queenstown to Auckland the ferry is free for the vehicle only.
Branch Hours: All branches are open 365 days from 8.00am to 5.00pm. After hours pick up and drop off is available at all locations except Auckland City and subject to online check-in via the GO App at least 24hours prior to pick up.
Minimum Hire: 3 day minimum except for the following: Auckland to Wellington, Queenstown to Christchurch and Christchurch to Queenstown – 5 day minimum. Auckland or Wellington to Christchurch, Dunedin or Queenstown – 7 day minimum.
Airport Transfers: These are to be requested on arrival by using the appropriate branch contact number, or book your shuttle on arrival using the GO Rentals App. No transfers are required at Dunedin, Nelson, or Queenstown locations as branches are adjacent to the airport terminals. In Waiheke Island GO is adjacent to the ferry terminal.
Extras: Baby Capsules, Child Seat, Booster Seat NZ$45 per hire (Children up to the age of 8 years must be restrained). GPS NZ$8 per day. Snow Chains NZ$45 per hire.
