DAY 1: Melbourne, Apollo Bay (190km) (B) - Collect your car and travel around the shores of Port Phillip Bay to Torquay, the start of the Great Ocean Road. On the way you will pass through the picturesque town of Lorne with its buzzing arts community and mediterranean atmosphere. DAY 2: Great Ocean Road, Port Fairy (190km) (B) - View some spectacular scenery as you pass through the Great Otway National Park and twelve apostle rock formations. DAY 5: Fleurieu Peninsula, Victor Harbour (350km) (B) - Make your way along the South East Coast past Kingston and on through the wetland areas of the Coorong. Cross the Murray River at Wellington and head through Strathalbyn to the Langhorne Creek wine region and the historic river port of Goolwa before driving into Victor Harbor. DAY 6: McLaren Vale, Adelaide (85km) (B) - Discover the attractions of the Fleurieu Peninsula on your drive into Adelaide. Perhaps take a horse-drawn tram to Granite Island to see little penguins or watch for migrating whales between June and October in Encounter Bay. Taste The Barossa

This tour blends historical wineries, wonderful regional food, breath taking scenery & the people that make the Barossa Valley a truly world class region, this is a day you are bound to enjoy. We start the day at a relaxing 9am picking you up at your accommodation or a pre-arranged point in Adelaide or Glenelg (8.30am). We make our way out of Adelaide through the Adelaide Hills with our first stop the famous Whispering Wall where you will be fascinated by its famous acoustic qualities. Our first winery is the beautiful and historic Château Yaldara. We cross the world famous Jacobs Creek as we head toward the heart of the Barossa Valley, the beautiful & historic township of Tanunda. After lunch we take a leisurely stroll to one of the most historic & beautiful wineries in the Barossa. We walk along this vineyard and into their rustic cellar door where we enjoy their world famous Barossa wines. Continuing on we make our way though the Barossa Valley and feast our eyes on the beauty of the famous Seppeltsfield region. We view the iconic Seppeltsfield winery which ties in perfectly with the last winery we visit for the day. We finish our day at Murray Street Vineyards on the opposite side of the Barossa Valley to where we started. This is one of the smaller wineries we visit however it has one of the greatest stories in the Barossa Valley. Owner and chief winemaker Andrew Seppelt is a 6th generation Barossa wine maker and brings together all his family’s local knowledge with lessons he learnt while working in the famous wine regions of France and the U.S.A. Murray Street Vineyards is a wonderful blend of the old and new world. With a little luck Andrew might pop in and you can ask one of the brightest wine making stars in the Barossa some questions. Return at approx. 5.30pm.
