For the ultimate sunny summer holiday, head south. Think surfing in Byron Bay, exploring the white sandy beaches of WA or hiking one of Tasmania’s many trails. The tropical north experiences its wet season throughout summer (November to April), which means heavy rain and tropical storms in Darwin, Broome, Cairns and the Whitsundays. It’s also stinger season on the Great Barrier Reef, which means you’ll need to wear a fullbody wetsuit to explore the reef. In the outback, the daytime temperatures reach uncomfortable heights.

Discover an array of brilliant hues in South Australia’s winery regions, Victoria’s High Country and the many National Parks of Tasmania. Many of our major cities put on a party in autumn with some of the biggest festivals taking place in autumn. The weather is particularly spectacular in the Gold Coast, Byron Bay and the Sunshine Coast. For a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife experience, you can witness tiny turtles hatching in the southern Great Barrier Reef. It can still be wet and stormy in the tropical north so proceed with caution.

If you holiday for the heat, then winter is the ideal time to visit up north including Darwin, the Top End and the Kimberley. Cairns and the Whitsundays have warm days, low humidity and comfortable water temperature, which are ideal conditions to explore the Great Barrier Reef. The Sunshine and Gold Coasts also boast clear, sunny days perfect for escaping the cold. Winter is also whale-watching season, which is an experience not to be missed off the coast.

Embrace sunny days and cool nights in many of our cities, which also spring into bloom with brightly coloured jacarandas and wildflowers. It is also the time to head to Australia Zoo on the Sunshine Coast or many of the other wildlife sanctuaries around the country to witness koalas and kangaroo joeys venturing out of their mother’s pouches for the first time. A day to explore Sydney at your leisure. Take the climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, explore the famous Opera House, or wander around the historic precent ‘The Rocks’. Visit Taronga Zoo for a chance to meet over 4,000 animals or maybe have a surf lesson at Bondi beach? There is so much on offer accompanied by a vast array of dining experiences to suit everyone.

DAY 3: Depart Sydney

Today you might like to catch the ferry over to Manly with its coastal relaxed vibes, hit up the Manly markets and spoil yourself with breakfast at a beachfront café. A great way to round out this short stay in Sydney.

This morning, collect your vehicle and journey west towards the world heritage Blue Mountains region. On the way stop at Featherdale Wildlife Park to see native koalas and hand feed kangaroos.

DAY2: At Blue Mountains

Welcome to a natural wonderland where you can explore one-million-year-old valleys, traverse underground cave systems, and meet the famous Three Sisters. Head to Scenic World where you will have a chance to ride the world’s steepest incline railway and take in the spectacular rainforest views from a cable car. There are plenty of walking trails and townships to explore, including Katoomba and Leura, both are well known for their specialty shops and excellent dining.

DAY 3: Blue Mountains to Hunter Valley

Take the scenic route along the historic Bells Line to your next destination Hunter Valley, one of Australia’s famous wine regions. Over 120 wineries are dotted throughout the rolling green hills, and many offer cellar door tastings. In addition to the fabulous wineries there are plenty of great restaurants, galleries, and local producers selling handmade cheese and olive oil. You may like to join a wine tour and visit one of the wineries or for the more active, hire a bicycle and meander along the quiet country roads.

Welcome to Sydney, one of the world’s most liveable cities, home to the Sydney Opera House, the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge, history, and heritage. Make your way to your centrally located accommodation, then after you have checked in the day is yours to see, taste, shop, experience and explore the many hidden treasures..

DAY 2: Sydney to Mudgee

At 12noon you will be collected from the front of the Amora Jamison Hotel. Departing from the city you will commence the picturesque journey via the Bells Line of Road through the Blue Mountains onto Mudgee. As we arrive into Mudgee, our first stop is at the Logan Wines Tasting Room were we have a seated tasting of a selection of their wines. Afterwards it is onto our accommodation at Parklands Resort. You will get time to check in to your accommodation before our introduction to Mudgee and it’s wine and local produce continues with a private Tease Your Palate Experience at 6pm on the property.

DAY 3: At Mudgee

Cooked breakfast is included at your leisure this morning. At approximately 10.00am we depart with our vehicle and guide to explore the wonderful region that is Mudgee! Today is about chatting with the locals, discovering a promising vintage, grazing on a selection of the regions finest produce and unwinding over a swirl of your glass and a sip or two (or more!) of fine wine! We will visit a selection of 3 boutique wineries and enjoy a light lunch at a local winery with one of our tastings. Return to your accommodation late afternoon for time to relax. Dinner this evening is at own expense and a dinner reservation will be made on your behalf at one of recommended Mudgee Restaurants.

DAY 4: Mudgee to Sydney

After a leisurely breakfast in the resort dining room, we depart at 9am from Mudgee to make our way to Rylstone and our destination De Beaurepaire Winery. From the first vine planting in 1998, this family’s single estate vineyard has grown into a renowned multi-generational boutique producer of French-style wines. On arrival we will be met by one of the owners, Richard or Amanda de Beaurepaire for an informative and enjoyable couple of hours getting under the skin of our awardwinning French-style wines – there is no better way to experience the true De Beaurepaire Wines! After this wonderful wine tasting experience, we head into the picturesque town of Rylstone, a rare colonial treasure and one of the oldest villages west of the Great Dividing Range. We have reserved a table for lunch at the Globe Hotel – lunch is at own expense and you can purchase directly off the menu. After lunch, time to walk the main

ITINERARY DAY 1: Sydney to Port Stephens

Taking to the road you will travel along the stunning Central Coast region. Along the way make sure to take a side trip to the Bouddi Coastal walk; an 8km boardwalk which twists and turns along the rugged coastline. You’ll be rewarded with some amazing views and a swim at the McMasters beach. Depending on the time of the year you may spot the migrating Humpback whales. Another great spot is ‘The Skillion” a uniquely shaped promontory offering some of the best panoramic Pacific Ocean views along the coast. Finally check out the Norah Head Light house; virtually untouched since 1903 except for the installation of the electric light.

7 DAY PACIFIC COAST DISCOVERY DAY 2: At Port Stephens

Port Stephens is a beautiful harbour town offering something for everyone but is best known for its crystalclear water, beautiful beaches, gourmet restaurants and whale and dolphin watching. Maybe join a dolphin watch boat trip today? There are boat trips that are designed to give you the best possible view of these lovely playful creatures and on warm days, it may even be possible to swim with the dolphins. If you want a bit more adventure then you must try quad biking on the sand dunes.

DAY 3: Port Stephens to Coffs Harbour

DAY 6: Byron Bay to Lamington National Park

Today you will cross the border into the sunshine state and to finish on a high you will be staying at the wonderful hinterland rainforest retreat known as O’Reillys. The retreat offers expansive views of the western ranges, friendly guided activities and the famed tree top walk. To end the day make sure to pay a visit to the bar with delicious homemade pizzas and one of the best sunset views.

Passing through seaside villages and Port Macquarie you will eventually arrive at the home of the Big Banana, Coffs Harbour. Coffs is well known for its spectacular coastline and friendly relaxed atmosphere. There is plenty of things to see and do such as bush walking, fishing, family theme parks and water sports or simply choose to do nothing but relax.

DAY 4: Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay

Your drive today will skirt by the beautiful Bundjalung National Park on-route to Byron Bay. This park is renowned for stunning natural scenery from rivers, lagoons, and secluded beaches. Before heading into Byron Bay take a detour out to the hinterland and check out Minyon falls. Watch the water cascade to a deep palm-shaped gorge roughly 100m below from the lookout.

DAY 7: Depart Brisbane

Time for some last-minute sightseeing before the leisurely drive up to Brisbane later this afternoon. Return your rental car on arrival into Queensland’s capital city.

DAY 1: Arrive Lamington National Park

Collect your car hire from Gold Coast airport and set off on an adventure into the Gold Coast Hinterland. Your accommodation for the next two nights will be at O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat.

DAY 2: At Lamington National Park

Today offers a choice of many free activities to immerse yourself in. Take the early morning bird walk to explore the hiking tracks and trails. Board your 35-minute scenic flight from Hervey Bay airport to Lady Elliot Island. Once landed you will be met by an Island activity staff member for an “Island Orientation” and to check in. DAY 1: Arrive Launceston

Welcome to the city of Launceston, gateway to Tasmania’s premium wine region, lavender fields, and riverside historic villages. On the doorstep is a slice of wilderness, just a short distance from town centre is Cataract Gorge. After you have collected your vehicle you are able to head off and start exploring.

DAY 2: Launceston to Stanley

Today travel north west through to Stanley. You will pass through many stunning towns including Penguin which gets its name from the nearby penguin rookery. Stanley is famous for fresh fish and chips, picture perfect colonial buildings and of course ‘The Nut’ - an ancient and immense flat-topped volcanic plug which sits 150 metres up from the water’s edge.

DAY 3: Stanley to Cradle Mountain

Before reaching your next destination, Cradle Mountain, take a side trip into the port city of Burnie and taste some award-winning cheese, sample boutique whiskey ,or check out the best place to see local craft and artisans at work in the Makers Workshop. Feeling like a short walk? Head out behind the city where there are many interesting bushwalks and serval waterfalls.

A free day to explore Cradle Mountain. This area is one of Tasmania’s most spectacular locations with dramatic scenery and abundant wildlife. There are numerous walks available in the park, including a gentle hike

around Dove Lake which sits in the shadows of Cradle Mountain’s jagged contours. Don’t forget to look out for the local wombats, it’s a treat to seem them grazing around some of the trails.

DAY 5: Cradle Mountain to Strahan

Continuing to Tasmania’s west coast where you will arrive in the charming harbour-side town of Strahan. After you have checked into your accommodation you can take a stroll to Hogarth falls and go platypus spotting or hire a bike and cycle one of the many trails around town.

DAY 6: Strahan to Hobart

All aboard!! The West Coast Wilderness Railway, a journey through the ancient rainforests and along the foreshore of the river. Listen to the many intriguing and historical stories that brought the locomotive to life. After lunch you will head south west for your last night in the states capital city Hobart.

DAY 7: Depart Hobart

This morning you are free to explore this beautiful harbour city; buzzing with beautiful heritage buildings, botanic gardens, and gourmet food. The Salamanca markets are on every Saturday, not to be missed if your holidays end on the right day of the week. Discover the colourful markets boasting local produce, art and crafts. Head to the airport to drop your vehicle off before flying home.

ITINERARY DAY 1: Arrive Hobart

Welcome to Hobart; after you have checked into your central accommodation it is time to explore this picturesque city. Check out the old colonial buildings, pick up some last-minute gear or if want warm up your legs why not take a walk along the river’s edge.

DAY 2: Hobart to Coles Bay

The journey begins with a transfer pick up from your accommodation. Once on the road you are heading north to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay. Here you will board the Naturaliste for a spectacular sea cruise down the western length of the Peninsula to Schouten Island, the southernmost part of Freycinet National Park. After a picnic lunch and swim choose between a short climb up Bear Hill for expansive views of the Freycinet Peninsula, or fish for flathead in Schouten Passage with our coxswain. Return to Coles Bay by boat, then transfer

to Friendly Beaches Lodge for an evening meal of fresh fish (perhaps caught by you that day!) and fine wine.

DAY 3: At Coles Bay

Rise with the sun for another boating adventure down the Peninsula, there are two walks to choose from this morning. The walk from Bryan’s Beach journeys through sclerophyll forests and along beaches to the renowned Wineglass Bay. Or for those seeking a serious challenge, opt for the climb from Cook’s Beach to the top of Mt Graham (579m above sea level) where you’ll enjoy wonderful views of The Hazards’ dusky pink rock outcrops, before arriving into Wineglass Bay via spectacular Quartzite Ridge. The two groups will re-join at Wineglass Bay in the late afternoon – the perfect time to swim in its crystalline waters, enjoy a cup of tea and exchange stories about the morning’s adventures. Feeling refreshed, take the climb to Wineglass Bay Lookout for sublime views, then descend to the waiting vehicle for your transfer back to the lodge. Enjoy soothing hot showers before drinks and dinner.

DAY 4: At Coles Bay

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before transferring to secluded Bluestone Bay for the start of the walk. Explore the fascinating geology of White-Water Wall and little Bluestone Bay before climbing to the cliff tops. Journey back to the lodge on foot, following an ancient track through sacred bushland once followed by the Oyster Bay Tribe and now used exclusively by Friendly Beaches Lodge guests. The headland is home to a stunning array of native plants, including the giant Xanthorrhoea (Grass Trees). Continue along the white sands of Friendly Beaches, perhaps celebrating with a dip in the ocean waters before arriving back at the lodge where cool drinks and homemade afternoon tea await. End the day

savouring a well-deserved meal, then relax with a glass of wine by the roaring fire.

DAY 5: Depart Hobart

Rise early and head to the beach for morning coffee, or sleep in and pretend you never have to leave. After breakfast, there is an optional walk along the fossil-rich ridgeline of Mt Mary and a descent to Saltwater Lagoon, where you’ll experience the curious honks and calls of countless wild black swans and pelicans in their natural nesting ground. After a delightful brunch, a convivial affair where experiences of the last four days are recalled and delicious food shared, take a final stroll along Friendly Beaches to Isaac’s Point. Say goodbye to Friendly Beaches lodge and transfer back to Hobart. You will arrive back at Hobart at 5pm and if you are booked on a flight, the transfer will drop you off at Hobart Airport. After checking into your central accommodation it’s time to head out and explore the town. Wander through the Central Markets and treat yourself to some of South Australia’s famous produce or head over to the iconic Adelaide Oval and take a climb over its unique roofline.

Head out through the southern suburbs and along the metropolitan coastline. The highlight of the day is the d’Arenberg Cube. Nestled amongst the vineyards, this five level “Rubiks Cube” has much to offer from the Alternate Realities Museum to its art installations. Enjoy a formal wine tasting before heading to lunch. Next visit will be at Beresford Wines where you can choose from one of three tastings in the new Tasting Pavilion. The final cellar door of the day will be at Wirra Wirra Vineyards, where you will enjoy a short tour and a structured tasting of their range of quality wines. Finish off with some spare time in the main street of McLaren Vale before heading back to Adelaide.

From Remarkable Rocks to playful fur seals, your journey to Kangaroo Island will be a highlight of this trip. Join the guided walk on the beach among a colony of rare and wild Australian sea lions. Get up close and see these wild creatures frolic and laze about. Spend some time at the Flinders Chase National Park, which was devastated in January 2020 in the worst fire to ever hit the island. You will see the regeneration of the native bush as you travel through the park. Keep an eye out for wild echidnas, wallabies, reptiles, and koalas. Finally, get that amazing view from the Remarkable Rocks and the Admirals Arch boardwalk which takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal the spectacular rock archway, a natural nursery haven for playful long-nosed Fur Seals.

6 DAY DOWN THE MURRAY DAY 4: At Murray River

After a hearty breakfast you will have a choice to join a guided tour of the towns historic landmarks and local attractions or go on a wildlife tour at Monarto Safari Park (additional cost). Those who choose to experience Monarto Safari Park will arrive back on board the PS Murray Princess in time for lunch. Meet at the Sturt Dining Room for a special presentation on the bounty of food and wine produced in the Riverland. In the afternoon, the cruise will continue the journey upriver then moor at Salt Bush Flat. After dinner, enjoy being entertained by the talented crew.

DAY 5: At Murray River

Join a guided nature walk this morning where your guide will share the secrets of the local flora and fauna. Near Fromm’s Landing, the cruise will turn and head downriver to River View Lodge (near Piggy Flat/Coolcha) where your discovery vessel waits to embark on a

wildlife tour. Travelling in small, personalised groups, you explore the maze of the river and the amazing birdlife. Watch for darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river’s muddy edges. This morning you will start the day exploring the breathtakingly beautiful Lincoln National Park. Then it’s back to Port Lincoln for lunch at the iconic Fresh Fish Place. In the afternoon you will visit Boston Bay Wines for tastings and Glen Forest Tourist Park for up close and personal wildlife encounters and a little more wine tasting at Lincoln Estate. After another full day it’s time to settle in for a great evening meal and local wine. Today there is also an option to upgrade to one of the best interactive wildlife experiences in Australia, swimming with playful Australian sea lions. DAY 4: Port Lincoln to Adelaide

Today is a foodie’s dream day. Start by exploring the pristine Coffin Bay National Park famed for its white sandy beaches and enjoy morning tea at the beautiful Yangie Bay picnic area. Following this you will have a unique harvest experience on the Coffin Bay Oyster Farm Tour. Put on some waders and sit down at a semi-submerged ’Salt Water Pavilion’ located at their working commercial Oyster Lease. Feast on the world’s most sought-after oysters plucked straight out of the ocean. Enjoy Chef Andy’s favourite dishes sampling a range of local produce from the sea and land at the 1802 Oyster Bar & Restaurant. On the way back into town visit a hidden secret for a sweet treat and caffeine hit. Enjoy a lovely walk along the foreshore before a visit to the Eyre Peninsula’s very own boutique brewery, Beer Garden Brewing. DAY 4: At Flinders Ranges

Adelaide is a vibrant city surrounded by parklands, history and rich in great food and wine. On your stay check out the Adelaide Zoo, which is home to 2,500 animals including the only giant pandas in the southern hemisphere. Venture to the Adelaide Oval, which is easily located as the centrepiece of the Adelaide Riverbank. Here you can soak up spectacular views of the city on a thrilling RoofClimb adventure.

During your stay you will take flight and behold the true wonder of Wilpena Pound and what makes this area so unique. From the air you may also see the Elder Range, Edeowie Gorge, Lake Torrens, the Heysen Range and St. Mary Peak. The half day 4WD trip will explore more than 800 million years of geological history in the “Corridor Through Time”. Marvel at the rugged beauty of Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges. The day begins with a leisurely drive northwards travelling along amazing Spencer Gulf. Once in Port Augusta, take a self-guided tour through the Wadlata Outback Centre’s, "Tunnel of Time". This is a must before visiting the Flinders Ranges & Outback. Here you will be transported back to where the dinosaurs roamed the land, be introduced to the people who first owned, explored and settled the land and those who still live there today.

Journeying back down south you will spend your final night in the Barossa Valley where you will find some of the world’s most acclaimed vineyards including Penfolds, Jacobs Creek, Seppeltsfield and many more. Fancy yourself as a sweet tooth? Make sure to stop by The Barossa Chocolate Company, which boasts artisan chocolate and ice cream.

DAY 3: Port Augusta to Flinders Ranges

Spend the morning at a delightful breakfast café set amid the splendid Barossa rolling hills before making your way back to Adelaide Airport to return your vehicle and fly home.

From Port Augusta, the road loops east before plunging into the far north of South Australia – a hard, dry but undeniably epic landscape that enticed and ultimately defeated so many 19th century European settlers. Townships are few and far between in these parts and we recommend a stop at Quorn for a slice of quandong (wild peach) pie at the appropriately named Quandong Cafe.

Day 3: At Arkaba Signature campsite

ITINERARY DAY 1: Adelaide to Arkaba Homestead

This morning you will be met by a guide at your hotel lobby before hitting the open road to Arkaba. Heading north, you will bypass the small country towns of Virgina, Two Wells and Dublin. Keep an eye out for the imaginative collection of large sculptures along the highway, made by way of protesting the development of a waste facility in the small town. Stop for lunch on the banks of Bumbunga Lake before heading past the infamous Snowtown, Redhill, Port Pirie and Port Germein before another short stop in the historic railway town of Quorn. Arrive at the Arkaba Homestead by 5pm in time to freshen up before your guided lay of the land experience and a three-course meal hosted by one of Arkaba’s field guides.

DAY 2: At Arkaba Signature campsite

After fuelling up at breakfast it is time to explore. The distance today is approximately 13km through the flat interior of Wilpena Pound and a gradual 1.5km ascent to the rim of the Pound, then climbing 200 metres ahead of a steeper descent of about 1km into Arkaba wilderness. Here

Expect to walk into camp at around 5:30pm in time to settle in, take a hot bush shower (with a view!) and enjoy a pre-dinner drink and canapes service as the sun sinks behind the ancient ramparts of Wilpena Pound. The signature camp is located between Bunbinyana Range and Wilpena Pound, on a site previously occupied by a shepherd in the late 1850s. The field guide and camp assistant will prepare a threecourse evening feast, taken al fresco under the evening sky and accompanied by local South Australian wine. Enjoy some interesting tales around our bush TV, the good old campfire, and retire to your swag bed for an unforgettable night under a canopy of stars. Today is arguably the most scenic, as you move out from Black’s Gap into the rolling hills more suited to the sheep farming activities previously carried out across the property. The first 2km will follow the famous Heysen Trail through Black’s Gap itself revealing a fascinating insight into the pastoral history of the region, pausing at old shepherds’ camps and mustering yards, with Red and Grey Kangaroos and Emus all regular sightings. The last leg of the day will take you slightly west into rolling hills and culminating in a sharp 1km climb of about 100m in elevation to the summit of the Red Range. Here you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the Ikara Flinders Ranges before moving on to the foot of Elder Range passing through beautiful stands of native Cypress trees. Your luggage will have been transported by vehicle to your next signature swag camp, our Elder Camp. A hot bush shower, dinner and another special night under the great Australian sky awaits.

DAY 4: At Arkaba Homestead

Wake to glorious morning light creeping up on the Elder Range. As you move south east the first few kilometres will be amongst hill country at the foot of the Elder Range. Walking through Mallee and native pine forests,

you will cross Slaty Creek which can hold precious water well into the dry season, sometimes even offering the opportunity to drink from clear, ice cold springs. Ascending the Red Range and down onto the banks of the Arkaba Creek, you will pass time-honoured and rejuvenating River Red Gums, with plenty of opportunities to spot birds that commune in the canopy, including galahs, parrots and honeyeater species. Pass reliable water points providing year-round life support for kangaroos, parrots and emus. The pace is unhurried with time to stop and breathe in the outback, view wildlife and take photographs. Arrive Arkaba Homestead mid-afternoon and relax or perhaps partake in a massage or a scenic flight over the ancient ramparts of Wilpena Pound. This evening you will enjoy a hosted feast and guided viewing of the Southern Hemisphere’s clearest skies silhouetted against mountains half a billion(!) years in the making.

Day 5: Arkaba Homestead to Adelaide

Enjoy breakfast at the Arkaba Homestead before departing at 8:30am for your scenic overland transfer to Adelaide via South Australia’s Clare Valley wine country. You’ll make your way through the historic outback towns of Quorn, Wilmington, Mount Remarkable and Melrose, all famous for their nature filled valleys and riverbeds. Lined with massive River Red Gum trees, the land around these towns is home to a multitude of native Australian animals and birds. Head from Melrose into the beautiful Clare Valley, a region famous for its wines. Enjoy lunch and some wine tasting before continuing south to arrive in Adelaide at approximately 5pm.

Gulf, see unique silo art in Kimba and after a quick pitstop for lunch, head towards the wildly beautiful Eyre Peninsula. Spot dolphins surfing the waves at Venus Bay and explore magical Talia Caves before testing out your sandboarding skills in some epic dunes. After arriving at the next camp site, the Park Farm Retreat, dine on a delicious BBQ feast and share stories with fellow travellers before hitting your swag for another night.

DAY 4: Eyre Peninsula to Baird Bay

This morning, peel on a wetsuit for a two-hour learn-to-surf lesson on a pristine beach with Sceale Bay Surf School. Those not wanting to surf will be able to relax, swim or explore. Following a picnic lunch, it’s time to go swimming with the ever-playful wild sea lions and majestic dolphins on a 3-hour cruise in the sheltered waters of Baird Bay. This is an optional extra cost experience, however it will be a memory to treasure forever.

DAY 5: Baird Bay to the Nullarbor

Taking to the road and travel the mighty Nullarbor Plain. Take a snap of the world-famous wombat, kangaroo and camel road sign, and experience the jaw-dropping beauty of the ‘Edge of Australia’ at the Bunda Cliffs. Stop at the iconic Nullarbor Roadhouse, explore the ruins of an old telegraph station and come late arvo, cross the border into Western Australia. Tonight’s entertainment is provided courtesy of the celestial sphere.

Sunrise here is spectacular, and it’s also when the kangaroos are at their most active. Wander onto the beach nice and early to see these, before a hike up Frenchman Peak. A challenging yet rewarding hike, wow at the beautiful vistas which span right across Cape Le Grand and the Recherche Archipelago. Refuel with a lunch stop on one of the many beaches on Esperance’s Great Ocean Drive, then settle in for the onwards drive to our Stirling Ranges campsite at Mount Trio.

DAY 9: Stirling Ranges to Margaret River

Today you will visit - the Porongurups for a two-hour hike through spectacular forests to Castle Rock and jump back on the bus for a magnificent coastal drive towards Albany. Be wowed at The Gap and Natural Bridge before stopping for a dip at Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool in William Bay National Park. From the coast to the forest, discover the old-growth forests of the Walpole Wilderness Region with the last stop of the day at the largest Tingle Tree in Western Australia.

DAY 10: At Margaret River

You put adventure aside today as you taste your way around the world-renowned Margaret River region. Whatever your taste buds desire, you will find it here. From wine to gin, and chocolate to cheese, by the end of the day you will be feeling very satisfied and merry. Cheers to that!

DAY 11: Margaret River to Perth

Roll up your swag one last time before meeting Wardandi custodian, Josh. He will introduce you to the world’s oldest living culture with his authentic and personal interpretation. Go deep down into the Ngilgi Cave for a memorable underground didgeridoo performance, taste native foods, and experience traditional fire-lighting. DAY 2: Darwin to Kakadu National Park

Today is the start of your 3 Day Kakadu & Litchfield Guided 4WD Expedition. Start your journey by heading out towards Kakadu National Park and join a wildlife cruise on Corroborree Billabong. This is a great opportunity to get fantastic photos of the local wildlife. Heading further in you will stop for a scenic picnic lunch on the East Alligator Riverbank with the opportunity to spot some crocs and flying foxes. Then travel on to the world famous Ubirr Rock in the north of the park. Ancient rock art and staggering 360o views over the Nardab floodplain and Arnhemland are provided. DAY 2: Darwin to Kakadu National Park

Today you set out to the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Enroute you will join a scenic cruise on the picturesque Corroboree Billabong. Here you will have the opportunity to spot a large variety of birdlife and the salty crocodiles in their natural environment. Continuing via the Old Jim Jim Road you will arrive at Maguk (Barramundi Gorge). Enjoy a scenic 1km walk

along the edge of Barramundi Creek before arriving at the base of Barramundi Falls where you have the chance to swim in a natural plunge pool. For sunset you will take a seat up on the slopping sandstone for a panoramic view of the sun setting across Anbangbang Billabong, Nourlangie Rock and the Arnhem Land Escarpment.

DAY 3: Kakadu National Park to Cobourg

Crossing the East Alligator river you will enter Arnhem Land and arrive at the Gunbalanya Aboriginal community to visit the Injalak Arts and Craft Centre. Here you can meet and watch traditional local artists in action. Your Aboriginal guide will show around the Injalak Hill art sites which houses some of the best Aboriginal rock art in Australia. Upon arrival at Venture North's camp at the Cobourg Coastal camp you will be greeted with nibbles on the cliff top whilst you relax as the sun sets over Port Essington.

DAY 4: At Cobourg

This morning will be spent exploring the Northern Territory’s largest marine park by boat. Cobourg is abundant in some amazing marine life including six species of marine turtle, dolphins, sharks, crocodiles, stingrays, mud crabs and plenty of fish. A stop will be made to visit the Victoria Settlement ruins; a third failed military outpost by the British in 1838 lasting only 11 years before it was abandoned. After you have returned to camp you can explore the nearby beaches and creek systems, try your luck at fishing or simply enjoy the solitude while reading a book from a hammock overlooking the ocean.

DAY 5: At Cobourg

Time for some 4WD adventures as you explore the eastern side of the Cobourg. This area is home to the first RAMSAR wetland (wetlands of international importance) with freshwater paperbark swamps and billabongs 100m from the coastline. After lunch you will have an opportunity to go hunting for mud crabs using traditional Aboriginal methods. Learn how to hunt and gather these local delicacies before having a go yourself.

DAY 6: Cobourg to Darwin

Departing early you will sit back and enjoy the bush scenery of Arnhem Land pass by as you make the journey back to Darwin. With numerous stops along the way you will view some of Kakadu’s best Aboriginal rock art at Ubirr Rock and the Mamukala wetlands, which at times is a haven for thousands of Magpie Geese as well as many other species of native birds and reptiles.

DAY 7: Depart Darwin

Or you could venture out on a tour over to Sweets Lagoon and experience the thrill of the airboats, meet wild salty crocs and get an arial view of the national park.

NORTHERN TERRITORY

Set off early and travel south-east towards Kakadu National Park. Along the way, you may wish to make a stop at the Bowali Visitor Centre, which is a great first stop on your Kakadu adventure. Enjoy some refreshments before wandering the interpretive displays and gallery. Depending on your timing, it is highly recommended to visit Ubirr Rock for sunset where you will be inspired by panoramic views of the floodplains.

DAY 4: At Kakadu National Park

Rise early for a great start on the Guluyambi Cultural Cruise along the East Alligator River. Take in the wonderful pristine wilderness of the World Heritage landscape while your Aboriginal guide provides insight to local culture, mythology, food chains, traditional use of plants and animals, and all-important bush survival skills. Following this you are free to explore the many fantastic walks, waterfalls and pristine pools of the area.

DAY 5: Kakadu National Park to Nitmiluk National Park

Today you will head further south towards Nitmiluk Katherine. Along the way, you may wish to stop at Gunlom plunge pool which is located on Waterfall Creek. This is a fantastic spot to enjoy seasonal waterfalls, crystal clear pools and plenty of shaded picnic areas to enjoy a scenic lunch. Once you have arrived at your destination you will be impressed by the 13 gorges carved from ancient sandstone which stretch as far as you can see.

DAY 6: At Nitmiluk National Park

This morning you will cruise the maze of waterways on the Two Gorge Cultural Tour and experience the beauty, history and culture of the Nitmiluk National Park. After

the tour, you will have the day to yourself. You could hire a kayak, take flight in a helicopter or make tracks on the many walking trails and discover many more natural swimming holes and spectacular views.

DAY 7: Nitmiluk National Park to Darwin

Time to head back to Darwin; if you leave early enough you might have time to make a stop at Leliyn (Edith Falls) or choose to make a detour and visit Litchfield National Park, renowned for unspoiled wilderness rainforests and waterfalls.

DAY 1: Arrive Alice Springs

ITINERARY

Journey to the heart of Australia; Alice Springs is surrounded by stunning mountain range, vibrant red landscapes and rich with culture and history. After arriving you will make your way to your accommodation and settle in for the evening.

DAY 2: In Alice Springs

DAY 1: Arrive Ayers Rock Resort

Today is all about this magnificent outback country town and it’s surrounds. Starting with a visit to historical John Flynn’s grave memorial before heading further out of town to the West MacDonnell Ranges. View spectacular panoramic landscapes with an array of sunburnt oranges, maroons, and purples. Enjoy scenic walks at both Simpson Gap and the Standley chasm where you have a chance to spot wildlife before heading back into Alice. In the afternoon you will travel to the historic telegraph pole which marks as the first settlement in Alice Springs. Discover how children learn in the desert with the School of the Air as well as how the Royal Flying Doctor Service came to be with the interactive storytelling museum. Finally, you will get the chance to touch some local lizards and snakes at the Alice Springs Reptile centre before finishing off the day with panoramic views of Alice from up top of ANZAC hill.

DAY 3: Depart Alice Springs

It’s your last morning in Alice before heading home. As a final farewell why not join a stunning 30 or 60 minute hot air balloon ride. You’ll be floating above the desert while you take in the spectacular views of the first sunlight rising over the land.

DAY 2: At Ayers Rock Resort

Rise early this morning and head out to the exclusive location of the Field of Light art exhibition. Arriving in complete darkness you will be able to enjoy the twinkle of 50,000 globes light up the desert. Head up to the sunrise viewing platform where you will enjoy a nice hot cuppa and watch as the first light hits the desert and highlights the natural landscape as the globes slowly dim out for the day. This afternoon you will visit the Kata Tjuta Culture centre where you will have time to explore local aboriginal art and learn out this desert region. Heading further into the national park you will discover the unique flora, fauna and intriguing cultural traditions of original owners, the Anangu. You will explore a number of caves, view ancient rock art painting and a short walk to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. The last stop is at the Sunset viewing platform where you will finish the day with a glass of bubbles and some nibbles as you watch the sun set into the western horizon. Watch the many shades of colour dance across Uluru before the vail of night takes over.

DAY 2: At Ayers Rock

Rising before the sun, you will make your way into the national park to watch as the first light touches the land and to absorb the enormity and beauty of the outback surroundings. After heading further into the national park, you will join multiple walks including the Kuniya Piti, a sacred site and the Mala Walk, one of the most important habitation areas for the local Aboriginal people over thousands of years. ITINERARY DAY 1: Arrive Alice Springs

Welcome to the town affectionately known as ‘the Alice’. After picking up your vehicle there is plenty to see and do before settling in for the night. Head out to the historic Telegraph Station which was built back in 1872 as part of the overland telegraph line between Darwin and Adelaide. Check-in at the unique outback community services Royal Flyer Doctor Service and the School of the Air and get a view of the town up on ANZAC Hill.

DAY 2: Alice Springs to Kings Canyon

Setting off towards Kings Canyon, your first stop is only 18km out of Alice Springs at the Simpsons Gap. Here you will find towering cliffs, a permanent waterhole and a great opportunity to spot wildlife. Travelling further you may find yourself stopping to explore the MacDonnell Ranges. See stunning landscapes, gorges and aboriginal art while trekking on the many bush trails. Maybe you would like to take a dip in one of the abundant watering holes to cool off.

DAY 3: Kings Canyon to Ayers Rock

Get your hiking shoes on this morning as you join a guided rocky climb to the rim of Kings Canyon. Once you get to the top you will be rewarded with the best views of the Watarrka National Park. Not a hiker? No worries there is a more relaxed walk you can choose to explore the Canyon creek bed. Heading on the road again and as you turn onto Lasseter Highway you see what looks like Uluru, but what is actually Alita/Mount Conner, commonly mistaken for the world-famous sandstone monolith.

DAY 4: At Ayers Rock

From flying, hiking, biking, driving and riding from dawn until dusk there is something to help everyone explore this great land. Witness the first light of day dance across Uluru on a sunrise tour, set out to circumnavigate the base of Uluru on a 10km track. Discover the impressive Kata-Tjuta (The Olgas) made up of 36 domes that soar up to 546 metres above the plains. If you are a nature lover, you will not want to miss the Walpa Gorge which is the narrow valley between two of the largest domes and home to many plants and animals including wallabies. Before darkness falls on the land you will head out to a remote location to view the internationally renowned masterpiece by the celebrated artist Bruce Munro. Marvel as 50,000 globes come to life to reveal a fantasy desert garden.

Indulge in the taste sensations offered by many restaurants, cafes, and wineries, who specialise in fresh gourmet food and home grown produce. Why not head out to climb the Gloucester tree, the 61-metre-high tree was originally used as a fire lookout however is now used to get the best views of the region. DAY 1: Perth to Margaret River

Heading south a recommended stop for brunch is the town of Rockingham. Boosting spectacular coastal scenery and close marine life encounters. As a highlight why not join a cruise to meet and maybe even swim with the wild dolphins? Before reaching your accommodation, a ‘must visit’ site including the iconic Blue shed is the Busselton Jetty. This 1.841km long timber jetting boosts many interesting attractions, the underwater observatory, the Jetty train ride, and many seasonal activities such as the helmet dive, mermaid tours and whale watching.

DAY 2: Margaret River

Welcome to the Margaret River region; surrounded by picturesque coastlines, towering forests and a thriving art scene. Drive on to the port city of Albany in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. It is the oldest permanently settled town in Western Australia and boasts a spectacular collection of old colonial buildings including old convict jails, churches, and cottages. The Torndirrup National Park located close by offers some wonderful hiking trails whilst the town is famous for whale watching, with southern right, humpback and blue whales often spotted close to shore between May and November.

DAY 6: Albany to Hyden

Onwards to Hyden, home to the famous Wave Rock and Mulka’s Cave. The Wave Rock in Hyden is one of Australia’s most famous landforms. This is a giant surf wave of multicoloured granite about to crash onto the bush below. Stand under it and feel the power of this natural formation created over 2,700 million years ago, before dinosaurs roamed the earth.

DAY 7: Hyden to Perth

Traveling back to Perth today, take your time and enjoy stopping along the way. Take some time to wander around Elizabeth Quay and explore the waterfront of the Sawn River before dropping off your rental car and heading home.

DAY 2: Perth to Cervantes

Your destination today is the coastal fishing town of Cervantes. This is the gateway to one of Australia’s most unique landscapes, the iconic limestone pillars known as “The Pinnacles” in the Nambung National Park. Be sure to visit the Pinnacles Desert Discovery Centre to learn about the geology of the pinnacles formations and the cultural and natural heritage values of the area. Then explore the pristine beaches, ideal for swimming and snorkelling, and of course make sure get your hands on some fresh local crayfish.

DAY 3: Cervantes to Kalbarri

Pink Lake at Port Gregory is an iconic sight along the Coral Coast Highway. The lake's colour changes through the spectrum of red to pink to lilac purple, depending on the time of day, season and amount of cloud cover when you visit. There are places where you can pull off the road, park the car and explore by foot, or you can experience a breath-taking scenic flight over this beautiful location. Kalbarri, a popular holiday destination, is situated at the mouth of the Murchison river, where the ancient, rugged outback meets white sand beaches. Take in views from the lookouts, hike the trails or join a canyoning and abseiling tour.

Days 4-5: Kalbari to Monkey Mia

Todays drive on the North West Coastal Highway takes you to Monkey Mia in the Shark Bay World Heritage area. Each morning for more than 40 years, wild bottlenose dolphins have swum to the shallows of Monkey Mia to visit and interact with people. This rare and famous animal encounter will be a highlight to your trip.

Day 6: Monkey Mia to Carnarvon

This morning your journey takes you east towards Fitzroy Crossing. You will visit the Old Fitzroy Crossing and colourful Mangkaja Aboriginal Arts Centre. Then you will be joining a local National Park Ranger on a guided cruise through majestic Geikie Gorge that nature carved between the Geikie and Oscar Ranges. Learn of the fascinating geology of this natural wonder and discover the huge array of wildlife, including freshwater crocodiles, birds and fish. This evening, camp by the Fitzroy River and enjoy a famous Kimberley BBQ.

DAY 3: At Fitzroy River

Visit the gold rush town of Halls Creek and see the remarkable China Wall enroute to Purnululu National Park, home of the magnificent Bungle Bungles. On arrival in Purnululu, there is time to orient yourselves and settle into the safari camp. After a delightful bush sunset, relax with a delicious meal and evening under the stars.

DAY 4: Fitzroy River to Purnululu National Park

ITINERARY DAY 1: Arrive Broome

Broome; where the red dirt meets the ocean and home to the world-famous Cable Beach sunsets. Between the months of March to October you may even witness the natural phenomenon known as the ‘Staircase to the Moon’. After settling into your accommodation, you are free to explore this easy-going outback town.

Spend the next day exploring the highlights of this extraordinary National Park, the most famous of which are the Bungle Bungle domes. Rivers created this landscape of unique orange and black striped ‘beehive’ geological formations over a period of 20 million years. Unbelievably, only the locals knew it existed until the early 1980’s. To protect its unique landscape, the area was made a national park in 1987 and now enjoys World Heritage status. Explore the 2km long Echidna Chasm, known for its towering Livistonia Palm trees. Take a short walk into stunning Cathedral Gorge, where towering rocks create a natural amphitheatre.

DAY 5: At Purnululu National Park

systems, in the heart of Gooniyandi Country. Spiritually significant, these limestone caves are one of the oldest identified sites of human occupation in Australia. Delve into the Dreamtime with our local Gooniyandi guide who shares traditional stories and reveals the secrets of Mimbi Caves, a sanctuary of crystal clear pools, rare fossils and ancient rock art. Share fresh damper and billy tea with the Gooniyandi traditional owners before heading for Fitzroy Crossing.

DAY 6: Purnululu National Park to Broome

Head to Bunuba country – once a Devonian reef, this terrain is over 350 million years old and home to a diverse array of animals and plants. In the morning you will venture into Tunnel Creek, a 750-metre cave system in which we discover secret caves and a large variety of wildlife. It is here you will learn the legend of Jandamarra, an Aboriginal freedom fighter who used the tunnel as a hide-out in the late 1800’s. Freshen up with a swim in the idyllic waterhole at the end of the tunnel before traveling to the geological wonder of Windjana Gorge, a delightful oasis in the outback. Beneath the gorge walls rising 90m, enjoy a picnic lunch and search for freshwater crocodiles, local birdlife and Indigenous bushtucker. The Gibb River Road then leads you from the picturesque Napier Ranges as we begin the return to Broome.

DAY 7: Depart Broome

After breakfast it is time to head home. If you have extra time, we recommend you stay an extra day and go see Horizontal falls. Described by David Attenborough as “one of the greatest natural wonders of the world”.

DAY 4: At The Kimberley

ITINERARY DAY 1: Arrive Broome

Welcome to the ‘Pearl of the North’. Once you have settled into your accommodation you have free time to relax or consider joining the famous camel ride on the beach at sunset to start your amazing adventure.

DAY 2: Broome to The Kimberley

Your quest begins with a transfer to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm located on the Dampier Peninsular. On your arrival, you will be transferred to the Kimberley Quest II, where you will be welcomed aboard by your captain and crew. Enjoy lunch whilst crossing King Sound, cruising through the thousand islands of the Buccaneer Archipelago; this is your first taste of the Kimberley. Cool off with a refreshing swim in one of the many freshwater pools, followed by a scenic tender excursion. This evening you can witness one of the spectacular sunsets.

Today, you cruise towards the amazing Montgomery Reef, which covers more than 300km2, making it Australia's largest inshore reef. Watch as the tide falls right before your eyes, creating a spectacular waterfall effect. Take a tender ride to view a wide range of marine species, including turtles and sea birds. Later we explore Strickland Bay visiting old pearlers graves and join our guides in search of the elusive Barramundi and Threadfin Salmon. As the day ends you can then unwind on the sun deck capturing one last sunset aboard Kimberley Quest II.

DAY 5: The Kimberley to Broome

This brochure is valid until 31 March 2022 unless otherwise stated. All details in this brochure reflect information available to Australia New Zealand Central Reservations Office Ltd (herein after referred to as ANZCRO) at the time of printing (March 2021). ANZCRO reserves the right to amend any details without notice. Ask your Travel Agent to confirm details at the time of booking.

DEPOSITS

A non-refundable deposit of $110 per person is required within 6 days of confirmation. This will guarantee your confirmed holiday price. Some activities/products have their own strict deposit regulations which you will be made aware of at the time of booking. Failure to pay the deposit within 6 days of confirmation will result in automatic cancellation of all travel arrangements.

PAYMENTS

Full payment is due 30 days prior to departure. Bookings made within 30 days of intended travel are to be paid in full immediately upon confirmation. Certain special airfares may require payment immediately upon booking. In the event that ANZCRO agrees to the acceptance of Credit Card payments, they will be made available through special arrangement with the Travel Agent and ANZCRO reserves the right to charge a fee to the Credit Card Holder for this service.

AMENDMENTS

First time amendment is FREE. All additional amendments are liable to a maximum charge of $33 per amendment. Once Travel Documents have been issued, all amendments will be charged. Airline tickets have additional amendment charges. Please ask your Travel Agent. Note: If amendments are made, pricing for the full item will reflect the exchange rate valid at the time of the amendment.

LATE BOOKINGS

ANZCRO reserves the right to charge a late booking fee of $35 to cover additional costs associated with bookings made within 10 days of travel.

REFUNDS • Unused Car / Motorhome hire – NIL • Unused Accommodation/Service vouchers refunded at the sole discretion of ANZCRO. Product and service providers are unable to authorize any refund on ANZCRO’s behalf.

PRICING

TRAVEL INSURANCE

ANZCRO strongly recommends that you purchase a comprehensive travel insurance policy at the time of booking. Your Travel Agent will be able to advise and assist you with this. Cancellation fees charged by ANZCRO will not be waived under any circumstances, where travel insurance may have covered you.

COVID-19 TRAVEL INTERUPTION POLICY

If COVID related travel restrictions are imposed by the Australian government, and travel is impacted on your booked travel dates, ANZCRO will provide a full refund (less supplier and 3rd party fees).

The Trade Practices Act implies a warranty that the services rendered by Australia New Zealand Central Reservations Office will be rendered with due care and skill and nothing contained in these conditions is to be construed as in any way excluding, restricting or limiting that warranty or any other rights implied by law which may not be excluded, restricted or modified. 2. Travel Vouchers will be issued after full payment has been received by ANZCRO. Documents will be forwarded to the Travel Agent by standard mail. If Express Post or a Courier is required, a fee will be charged at ANZCRO’s discretion.
