IMPACT REPORT
35 Years of Impact In 1988, the first of our campers arrived at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, feeling nervous, excited and—hopeful. By the end of their sessions, they did not want to leave. Thirty-five years later, Camp has become a home away from home for thousands of children with serious illnesses and their families. As we celebrate our founder Paul Newman’s birthday this month, we honor the legacy he has left behind in the joy and healing that Camp still brings to so many. This past year was a true testament to our founder’s dream and the community of supporters who make it all possible. With your help, we were delighted to open the new Creative Complex and a fully accessible playground at Camp, return to full summer programming for the first time since the pandemic, launch a family bereavement program, and break ground at our second location in Maryland. And we continued to grow our Hospital Outreach Program so that even more children in hospitals and clinics can experience the magic of Camp. Each new beginning allows us to expand our impact and touch more lives than ever before. Your support has allowed us to create unforgettable, healing memories together and ensures we can continue to do so for years to come. Whether you are a longtime friend or brand new to Camp, near or far, thank you for all that you do for Hole in the Wall’s children and families. With deepest gratitude,
Jimmy Canton CEO, The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp

For many of these children and families, Hole in the Wall provides multiple Camp experiences throughout the year at the facility in Ashford, Conn., in dozens of hospitals and clinics, directly in camper homes and communities, and through other outreach activities across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

u o Y k n a Th Camp thinks of EVERYTHING! The facilities, the activities, the staff and even the food was AMAZING! There was no detail left undone and everyone on site made us feel like long, lost family. At Camp, I watched my baby girl live her best life, unencumbered by her limitations and by the time we packed up after that first weekend, I knew she’d found her happy place and would be back! —Camper mom Na-Tasha
The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is my happy place away from home. A place where I can temporarily forget about the ER, doctor visits and blood draws… From the moment I boarded the bus bound for Camp I started to talk to the other campers and made friends. When I got to Camp, I felt at home and was ready for all the adventures of this new and exciting experience. —Camper Ethan
