Residents of the city of Marshalltown joined in solidarity to help the victims of the tornado to clean up the rubble and disaster left by the July 19 tornado.

Una vez más, LULAC Davenport celebró el cierre del mes de la Herencia Hispana con su tradicional ceremonia de ofrenda floral en honor a las ramas de los militares así como a los primeros en responder.

Once again LULAC Davenport celebrated the closing of Hispanic Heritage month with their traditional Wreath laying ceremony honoring the branches of the military as well as the first responders.

December 5, 2018 On August 25 Mr. Salvador “Chavo” Lopez celebrated his 90th birthday participating on the Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraiser Over the Edge by rappelling off the historic Hotel Blackhawk located in downtown Davenport.

Local professional boxing started the year with a bang at the River Center with their show Legacy that attracted over 800 boxing fans last February.

One of the highlights of the night was the anticipated “Smokin” Joe Perez vs Lance Williams bout (left) that ended with another win for Joe Perez.

Alien Boi Boxing and Calkins Sports Production followed up with their May show where Shawn West Sr. made his boxing debuted in a bloody match with Carlos Cabrera (below). West won what many considered the fight of the night.

Alien Boi Boxing and Calkins Sports Production partnered up with Hola Iowa to bring professional boxing to Rhythm City Casino for the first time ever and it drew another great crowd.
