Student’s Process Map for Returning to Campus Students complete the steps listed below by signing onto the Hofstra portal and clicking the “COVID-19 Protocol” under the “Student Success Center” on the main page. I have been residing in New York State or a contiguous state (NY, NJ, PA, CT, MA, VT)
It is advised to self-quarantine for at least seven (7) days prior to my arrival in New York/Hofstra.
I get cleared to be on campus through one of the following options: RESIDENTS • I get tested upon arrival to Hofstra, after scheduling a testing appointment through NAVIGATE o All residential students must be tested on campus • If you had a positive COVID-19 test result within the past 90 days, upload the test result to MediCat and proceed directly to your spring housing assignment. COMMUTERS ONLY • I upload the results to MediCat of a negative COVID-19 test taken within three days prior to my arrival on campus. • I upload the results to MediCat of a positive COVID-19 test within the past 90 days. • I get tested upon arrival to Hofstra, after scheduling a testing appointment through NAVIGATE.

I am traveling to New York State from a non-contiguous state I follow the New York State Guidelines for travel, which follows this order:
I get a COVID-19 test within 3 days prior to my departure from my home country/state. I travel to New York State.
I fill out the required NYS Traveler Health Form. I have been approved to stay on-campus for the required quarantine period by the Office of Residence Life.
I have secured a quarantine space off-campus for the required 3-day period.
I attest to this quarantine through the COVID-19 Dashboard
I take a COVID-19 test at the PEB on day 4 of my quarantine.
Upon the receipt of a negative COVID-19 test result, I return to my spring housing assignment.
I take a COVID-19 test either by scheduling an oncampus test or obtaining a test off-campus.
I upload evidence of the negative COVID-19 test and return to campus.
If you receive a POSITIVE COVID-19 test result, follow isolation protocol as guided by your physician and the Department of Health
Adherence to this procedure is mandatory for all students returning to Hofstra’s campus. Failure to follow these guidelines may result in disciplinary action.
