Over 5000 media credentials were handed out during the debate, which overflowed into the Medical School b. 84 million people watched the debate, the greatest number in US history c. Also approves every single club or organization financial transaction, signs every checks at an average of five hours’ worth of signatures per week 2. September 5th – October 24th a. Used Hofstra databases to find compile data b. At least 90 transactions, but due to administration illness data is a little behind c. Sports organizations a little low due to administration illness 3. Summary of Weekly Meetings a. Usually club sports come early on and request as much as possible, hence the sum of the requested monies for those meetings make look a bit strange b. About $8,000 allocated per meeting 4. IRCB a. 14 of 27 target clubs have been audited b. Those who have chosen not to respond will be emailed by Comptroller Senderowicz as a last attempt at communication c. Next meeting will be November 11th 5. Rollback File a. Rollback is the amount of money that is not spent by clubs and organizations by the end of the semester i. Budget weekend uses this information to predict future spending and allocate accordingly b. Rollback File will be a large spreadsheet that will simplify finding each separate organization’s rollback i. Still in progress, Fall 2014 is done and Spring 2013 should be done by December 6. Music Fest a. Hofstra Concerts and Entertainment Unlimited (EU) b. Will be reaching out to senior representative for Alumni Affairs

Spreadsheet a. Keep track of important events clubs consistently put on annually i. This will help with planning budgets and consistency 8. Reallocation Deadline a. I feel like we’re getting into too many questions and too wordy where people will stop taking the survey in general. Taken from page 3 of the Student Government Association Policy Series I. GENERAL POLICIES ‌E. ABSENCE POLICY: Members who acquire an absence shall receive penalties weighted according to the meeting missed (absences expire at the end of each semester): 1. Senate: one (1) absence 2. Cabinet: one (1) absence 3. Committee meeting: one (1) absence 4. Office hour: one-half (1/2) absence 5. Fall and Spring retreats: one (1) absence 6. Attendance required by Cabinet: one-half (1/2) absence 7. Failure of the Vice President to submit the Agenda to Senate: one (1) absence to the Vice President 8. Failure of a Committee Chair to submit a mid-year or monthly report: one (1) absence to said Chair 9. Arriving after or departing before the halfway point of the Senate Meeting, without previously notifying the Ethics and Conduct Chair before the commencement of the meeting: one (1) absence.

Hofstra University Student Government Association Two Thousand and Sixteen S.A.2016.81.005 Office Hour Substitution Policy

Taken from the Policy Series of the Student Government Association, page 2: I. GENERAL POLICIES A. ATTENDANCE POLICY 1. Senators are responsible for attending all committee and Senate meetings. Cabinet members are responsible for attending their committee meeting, Cabinet, and Senate.

Executive Board members are responsible for attending a weekly Executive Board meeting, Cabinet, and Senate. Members of the Student Government Judicial Panel are responsible for attending a meeting once a month.

2. All members of the Student Government Association who cannot fully attend one (1) of their required meetings shall inform the Ethics and Conduct Chair.

3. Senators are expected to dress in appropriate attire when attending Senate meetings or otherwise representing the Student Government Association.

B. OFFICE HOUR REQUIREMENTS: 1. All senators, associates, and Judicial Panel members are responsible for serving at least one (1) office hour per week. Cabinet members shall serve two (2) office hours, as defined in this section. An office hour is defined as sixty (60) consecutive minutes where a senator is available in the Student Government Association office.

2. Senators may do office hours Monday through Thursday between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM and on Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. 3. At the discretion of Cabinet, another Student Government Association-sanctioned action may substitute an office hour. member may opt to do his or her office hours as follows: 4. If a Student Government Association member volunteers at a Hofstra-sponsored event1 on behalf of the Student Government Association for at least one (1) hour, then this may be substituted for an office hour in the following week. The Ethics and Conduct Chair shall be informed of this substitution prior to the commencement of the event.

5. Office hours shall be posted and recorded by the Ethics and Conduct Chair.
