Bruce We are hoping that we will be at 100% but it depends on Health guidelines. Indoor and Outdoor Events space has been increased to 75% and hopefully there will be changes to that v. Senator Singh 1. More diverse food options to the Student Center a. Bruce, we are more than happy to have more Diverse options on Dining. We are also working on putting together family recipes but we are more than happy to work with other organizations on campus vi. Chair Connolly-Sisk 1. Allergy and Reactions for cross contamination on campus a. Bruce We have a safety Committee and our managers have 3 hours of mandatory allergen training each year where they try really hard to not cross contaminate. Ask the manager and chef to make sure it is readily prepared. Ask the manager on the floor as well, they can show them what ingredients are in it. I haven’t heard much of anyone having an allergic reaction, so make sure

those students communicate to me so I can find the source. I need to be on-top of my staff to make sure they are properly trained. b. Chair Connolly-Sisk - can I give students your email? i. Do you know when students can use their Credit/Debit card readers on campus. We had an issue yesterday but it was resolved a. I did not know about that I will go and fix that issue. 2. The Staff is being screened everyday and workers are tested about every 3 weeks. We are working on getting the staff for Vaccines. As far as hours we don’t like to cut hours but we did have to lose some staff members and health benefits from the companies but we did have to cut staff but they were given benefits. We have had employees opt from coming back. The Government is working hard on unemployment we are trying to do everything we can for the fall and to have them all back Chair Germaine 1. Will we be adding more to the boost app or making more updated and not many meal options on boost. a. Bruce, I will have my staff take a look at the boost app. We may add some more locations to boost. Boost is doing well with Starbucks and Sushi but it is almost non existent from BYOB on South Campus and Brooklyn Slice in the student center Senator Welch 1. What is the Hofstra’s Plates Policy for accessible a. Colin, The plant and facilities team is in charge or plant. It is not in place now but with COVID. b. Bruce, We want to use plants but we can’t have them now. However we are losing at least 1,000 plates per semester from being thrown out or they are mysteriously disappearing. Chair Connolly-Sisk 1. Will self serve come back when we are allowed to. a. Bruce, Absolutely, as of right now we are not allowed from Nassau Board health guidelines but we are trying. Associate Senator Booth presents from Leaders for Leaders 1. Associate Senator Boothe presents about herself and getting to know as well as teach herself to the rest of the senate body. Explains her proposal as well as meeting with sustainability and meeting with Senator Welch. The overview is work with a net neutrality proposal over a bunch of other schools. The team of this proposal is the forward and introduction on how we can show support as well as climate change with Hofstra University especially because we live on Long Island which has climate change concerns as well as hurricanes when in season. This will help keep the planet to keep it more sustainable as well as to finish the proposal that we have started working on. I want to shout out working with Chair Aquino for all her help while getting the staff to help me share our concerns. I have been working with VP Houston and Branka Kristic to help create a logo that can be advertised and promoted for the Garden.

Associate Senator Amalia Sanchez 1. I worked with how the safe space has helped with the Hofstra Community and how to help with the transition resources that are given to the students as well as the Hofstra Community to help them as items are coming back to normal. I want to help working with collaborating with SGA to help from other advocacy groups I want to open the floor to other organizations iii. Associate Senator Anthony Papasodero 1. I want to talk about my project that also relates to my introduction to and process to work with Uber Eats so you can have more dining options with campus. With COVID-19 there are less options available on campus as well as giving students more options. For example we want the ability to make it better and so you can order food from Uber Eats by using the meal plan from Hofstra. There will be an optional tip as well as other Uber fees. We wanted to use this because uber has a higher usage compared to other apps. It may increase more people and/or commuters to get a meal plan. We are considering this and we are working to get this done. Currently this project is in the works we are trying to work out the financials part of this process. I would like to pursue a higher role in SGA as well but started being the treasurer of the Commuter Association. iv. Associate Senator Jessaia McGriff 1. I joined the Leaders 4 Leaders program that is a two semester program that helped to be a better student as well as showing how to be a more active student. How have we been a better outcome from zoom but as well as working for in person events. While working with teamwork as it has been a journey talking about being a bigger and stronger leader on campus as well as having lots of ideas and making sure that nothing stops you. v. Associate Senator Jonathan Lee 1. Explains himself and the journey through SGA then became a part of the appropriations committee. Helped allocate Clubs funding as part of the Committees tasks. Community Governance Summit and connecting with other student leaders on campus. Going back to how to enhance your skills in speaking. Working with the accounting society organization on campus working on an Internship with the business field and planning on running for Senator for the future days at Hofstra C. Elections Information Powerpoint and Forms 1. Just adjusting and making some edits (grammar, link formatting, etc.) 2. Will be reaching out to chairs regarding their committee slides to see if they want me to add/alter anything that isn’t already included Information Session 1. As I said before, I would like some senators to speak about their time in SGA during these information sessions, so if you’re registered for a timeslot expect to speak a little about SGA. 2. The Elections Commission will NOT be meeting on April 5th since it is the first day of Information Sessions, but I will be reaching out to them at the end of the week just as an update for how Information Sessions went.
