b. EachEAGmustappointaliaisonwhowouldbethepointofcontactforallofficial SGA-EAGcommunicationIfutilizinganorganizationemailorsocialmedia account,theliaison’sidentitymustbeclear.

i. Therequiredpositionofaliaisonhasnobearingonthegroup’sinternal leadershipstructure;itcanbeanymemberandcanbechanged.

204.6HOFSTRARECOGNIZEDSTUDENTORGANIZATIONS:UndergraduateHofstrastudents thatwishtoseekorganizationalrecognitionshallberecognizedbytheNewStudentOrganization RecognitionCommitteecomprisedoftheOfficeofStudentLeadershipandEngagement, AdministrativeAdvisors,andmembersoftheSGAClubResourcesCommittee.Ifrecognizedata RecognitionCommitteeMeeting,studentorganizationswillenteraonemonthonboardingperiod. Afterthistimeperiod,eligibleorganizationsshallsendtheirConstitutionandproofofengagement viaGetInvolved(GIHU)totheClubResourcesCommitteeforapprovalatanSGASenateCheck-In.

B. C. HOFSTRASTUDENTORGANIZATIONS

a. AnewstudentorganizationshallbeconsideredarecognizedHofstraorganizationifit isrecognizedbytheNewStudentOrganizationRecognitionCommittee

i. TheClubResourcesChair,aswellasthreeadditionalmembersoftheClub ResourcesCommittee,shallbeconsideredfullmembersoftheNewStudent OrganizationRecognitionCommittee.AsmembersoftheHofstra Student OrganizationRecognitionCommittee,theClubResourcescommittee membersshallvoteonneworganizationrecognitionandactivelyseekto assistthecommitteewhereandwhenpossible.

1. SGAClubResourcesCommitteemembersshallapplytojointhe NewStudentOrganizationRecognitionCommitteeforthe correspondingsemester.

a. Duringthefallsemester,theapplicationshallbeopento ClubResourcescommitteemembersfromtheprevious Springsemester.

b. Duringthespringsemester,currentSpringClubResources Committeemembersshallbeeligibletoapply.

D.HOFSTRASTUDENTORGANIZATIONONBOARDINGPERIOD

i. Allnewrecognizedorganizationsaresubjecttoaone(1)monthonboarding period.Throughoutthistimeperiod,neworganizationsmust:

1. Haveatleastfifteen(15)membersincludingafullExecutiveBoard consistingofaPresident,VicePresident,Secretary,andTreasurer.

2. FollowaconstitutionhavingbeenapprovedbyHofstraStudent OrganizationRecognitionCommittee,theClubResourcesCommittee, andSenatethatcontainstheStudentGovernmentAssociation’smost currentpreamble.

3. HaveallExecutiveBoardmembersattendallrequiredtrainings

a. StudentOrganizationLeadershipTraining

b. TitleIXTraining

c. TreasurerTraining

d. StudentEventRequestTraining(comingFall2023)

4. ManageandmaintaintheirownGetInvolvedHU(GIHU)page

ii. IfanExecutiveBoardmemberofthenewlyrecognizedHofstraorganization isnotabletoattendaclub-widetrainingsession,theymayseekadditional make-upsessionswithOSLEand/orSGA.

iii. RecognitionduringtheHofstraStudentOrganizationRecognitionProcess enablesallnewstudentorganizationsaccesstofundsfrom5%oftheSGA Budget.

iv. Membershipofanewlyrecognizedorganizationshallnotconsistofmore thanaquarterofmemberswhoweremembersofapreexistingorganization thatwasremovedfromcampusduetodisciplinaryactions

v. Duringtheone(1)monthfollowingtheHofstraStudentOrganization RecognitionCommitteeMeeting,organizationsshallholdaminimumofthree (3)meetingsandatleastone(1)fundraiseroreventwithatleastfifteen(15) membersinattendancepriortoattendinganSGASenateCheck-In.TheClub ResourcesCommitteeshallrequireproofofsuchattendanceintheformof attendancerostersforatleastone(1)suchmeetinginthatsemester Priorto attendingtheSGACheck-In,organizationsshallholdaminimumofthree(3) meetingsandatleastone(1)fundraiseroreventeachwithatleastfifteen(15) membersinattendance TheClubResourcesCommitteeshallrequireproofof suchattendanceandorganizationgatheringsintheformofattendancerostersand additionalevidenceincludingbutnotlimitedtophotosorpromotionalevent materials

i TheClubResourcesCommitteeshallrequirethe submissionofthisrosteratthemeetingforclub constitutionreview.

ii TheClubResourcesCommitteeshallverifythatthe memberspresentatsaidmeetingsareregisteredonthe clubororganization’sGetInvolvedHUpage.

2 6.Followingtheone(1)monthonboardingperiod,thenew organizationmaydigitallysubmittheirproofofengagementviathe formonGetInvolved(GIHU)totheClubResourcesCommitteefor approval.Ifapproved,theClubResourcesChairshallformally invitetheorganizationtoaSenateCheck-Inmeeting.

a. Theproofofengagementshallbedefinedasthefollowing:

i. Proofofthree(3)previousorganizationmeetings

ii. AGetInvolved(GIHU)rostergreaterthanfifteen (15)members

iii. Proofofone(1)priorfundraiserorcampus-wide event

iv. Theorganization’smostrecentlyupdated Constitutionandgoverningdocuments

v. GIHUEventsPassattendancerecordsforthe correspondingtrainingsession(s)ofeachExecutive Boardmember

vi. StudentOrganizationCheckInAppeals:IntheinstanceaHofstra recognizedorganizationdoesnotpassSGACheck-intoreceivethefull benefitsofanactiveHofstraRecognizedStudentOrganization,theymay sendaletterofappealtotheClubResourcescommittee.Iftheorganization isdeemedeligibleforappealafterreviewbytheClubResourcescommittee, theymaypresentbeforetheSenate.
