Club Resources Committee 1. Kristin Ortiz has been in club resources and has some goals and wants to work with other clubs. I want to have committee go over the constitution as well as give some benchmarks. a. Questions i.

Chair Connolly-Sisk what is your biggest weakness going into a chair position 1. The lack of connections with admin and that is the one thing that I want to work on that iii.

Chair Connolly-SIsk biggest strength as a chair 1. My optimism and outgoing towards a better relationship

2. Calob Congdon a. Introduction of who he is and explains what he does; as well as explains. Through the SGA accomplishments he served as the archivist and assisted Chair Paturzo to assist plans to make events as well as serve as the academic affairs committee. He has 4 points Advocacy, Organization, Coordination, and Responsibility these are very important as well as being a retail manager to delegate tasks and working with a bunch of people.

Wants to work with SGA recognition and working on sub committees and working closer with the club contacts i.

Questions 1. Chair Connolly-Sisk What is your biggest weakness as a chair a. I think my weakness would be staying organized and going with the flow and won’t have much control of what is going on in the current situation 2. Senator potula what about your campus leadership commitment a. In my role I can distribute my tasks SGA is at the top of my list I would challenge my committee and members on that to have them follow this as well 3. Chair Connolly-Sisk never sitting on Club Resources how would this work a. It would be seeking out my resources and familiarize myself with what is needed to make myself effective as a chair. b. Senator Hotaling 1. I worked with Kristin she is very dedicated and she is very driven and she has what it takes to be the chair for Club Resources.

I want to make sure I help identify the ones that need it who are being under-defined on campus as well as the response from the admin. Worked on drafting the Hillel email. My plan is to hold the admin accountable and working on building new studies as an online reporting system. I want to reach out to our identity based clubs at least once a month. Work with clubs and not lose them over the time. Get closer working with the CDIO and the no Hate @ Hofstra more than what it currently is. This is a hofstra community and and work to understand that more ii.

4. Senator Safian a. Wanted to thank people for giving her the vote. I am an immigrant as a pakistani muslim. When I joined SGA I was happy to see that there was an organization and was to see what other universities are using, how they are using their identities and how people can work on this as well as extend more help.

The town was a success and some items that made her choose was going to a black school instead of Hofstra and telling her family not to apply here. This hurt and I want to make a change with that and I want to talk to people and bring more people to this. I want to also bring more town halls to the campus maybe up to 3 times per semester. We just need more diversity Regardless if I am chair I will still work hard in this committee. I bring info as an activist. i.

I will need to take a step back because I may get carried away in what I am pursuing.

It would be events on how to expand this and I do not want people telling me what to do.

1. Echo what others said upon hearing this is a good idea you can’t serve. If you just joined you do not run for E-board right away if this applies to other clubs and it should apply to others Senator Harley 1. There are schedules for a reason and this can be a big deal and learning Robert's rules as well as other things can cause there to be a large learning curve that can take more than 1 month to learn Chair Connolly-Sisk 1. BLAC came to our meeting. We discussed the new space that will be for black students lounge space. Did ask for specifics on furniture and timeline. ii.

Another demand was for more diverse food options where they had a meeting with Compass where there would be a student suggested recipe that would take place every week. This was approved by compass and admin but they are concerned about the workload of planning weekly meals for the whole semester.

1. Proposed a work study or meal vouchers. This will be something we continue to work on into spring. iii.

Met with the Environmental priorities committee and learned a lot more about what they do. They want to start to build relationships with student organizations. h. Wellness & Campus Safety - D. O’Brien i.

We are continuing on the financial wellness and feminine product initiatives into next semester. ii.
