Armentano is counsel in the commercial litigation department, focusing his practice on land use and municipal law. He contributes to the firm's Long Island Land Use & Zoning blog . Mr. Armentano is well-versed in all aspects of land use, SEQRA and environmental rules and regulations, including Brownfields and Green Buildings regulations. He has represented clients before various municipal boards, the Pine Barrens Commission and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. He has also held positions as Planner II at the Nassau County Planning Commission; Acting Chairman at the Nassau County Soil and Water Conservation District and as Environmental Planner at a Melville-based engineering and consulting firm. Prior to joining Farrell Fritz, Mr. Armentano was an associate at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., where he was a member of the firm's environmental, real estate and litigation practice groups. Mr. Armentano serves as environmental counsel to the Peconic River Sportsman's Club, is counsel to the Captain James Corrigan Memorial Foundation, and is counsel to the Village of Hewlett Neck Board of Zoning Appeals. He is on the advisory board for Touro Law School's Institute on Land Use & Sustainable Development Law and is a member of the Touro Law Center Alumni Council. He is a board member of the Nassau Academy of Law (NAL) and is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association. Mr. Armentano received the Award for Exceptional Contribution to the Growth of the Law Center from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. Mr. Armentano earned his Juris Doctor, summa cum laude, from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, in 2005 . He received his M.S. in Environmental Studies in 1998 from Long Island University and his B.A. in History in 1996 from College of the Holy Cross.
