Mack Hall, Lower Level, North Campus Whether it is striving toward a successful career, raising a family, or both, the demands of being a woman in this day and age continue to create challenges and opportunities that often pose the question, Are women winning or losing the work/life balance? Join us to learn about some of the difficulties and rewards of being a working woman — from a panel of women who can offer insight on this topic based on a variety of experiences. The Dance-a-Thon is a six-hour fundraiser to benefit girls education in developing nations. Organizations across campus are invited to create teams, dance the night away, and help send girls to school!

Religion and Film Series: The Works of Margarethe von Trotta: Hannah Arendt Monday, March 10 6:30 p.m. Leo A. Guthart Cultural Center Theater, Axinn Library, First Floor, South Campus This film is a biopic of influential German-Jewish philosopher and political theorist Hannah Arendt. The film covers Arendt’s controversial reporting on the 1961 trial of ex-Nazi Adolf Eichmann for The New Yorker. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion led by Hofstra professors from various departments.
