I am looking forward to celebrating your graduation at our midyear commencement for baccalaureate, graduate, and law degree candidates on Sunday, December 19, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex, located on the North Campus. The commencement speaker and recipient of an honorary degree at the ceremony is Kathryn V. Marinello, MBA, president and chief executive officer, PODS LLC. Prior to joining PODS, Marinello served as president and chief executive officer and a member of the board of directors of Hertz Global Holdings Inc., and before that as a senior advisor of Ares Management LLC,a global alternative investment manager. Other distinguished positions she has held include chair, president, and CEOof both Stream Global Services Inc. and the Ceridian Corporation. She also served in a broad range of senior roles over 10 years at General Electric Co., including leading global, multibillion-dollar financial and services businesses and subsidiaries. In September 2021, Marinello was honored as Hofstra's Alumna of the Year. I am so glad that we will be able to host commencement in person. The commencement protocols are: •
Present proof offull COVID-19 vaccination upon entry.

Present a negative COVID-19 test upon entry. Only a PCRtest taken up to 72 hours prior to the ceremony or a rapid antigen test taken up to 6 hours prior may be used.
