Maria-‐Ángeles Pérez López (Valladolid, Spain) is a professor of Latin American and Spanish literature at the University of Salamanca, Spain. She has published the following books of poems: Tratado sobre la geografía del desastre (1997), La sola materia (Tardor Prize, 1998), Carnalidad del frío (City of Badajoz Poetry Prize, 2000), La ausente (2004,) and Atavío y puñal (2012). In Catorce vidas (Poetry 1995-‐2009) includes her poetry until 2010. Vaso Roto Publishers has recently published her book: Fiebre y compasión de los metales (2016), with an introduction by Juan Carlos Mestre. She has also published several anthologies of her wok in Caracas, Mexico, Quito, Monterrey, Bogota and Nueva York.
