The Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center One of the few facilities in Nassau County that houses four separate and collaborative specialty clinics and an Early Childhood Education Center that provide comprehensive services to Hofstra University and the surrounding community.

The Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center • •

Each of the Training Clinics is affiliated with a Masters or Doctoral Level Academic Program.

Graduate students provide all the direct services to community members while being supervised by licensed professionals in their respective fields

The Counseling and Mental Health Professions Clinics Includes marriage & family therapy, mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling, and creative arts therapy • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy.

• Serve adults, adolescents and children (with their families) • Provide support and psycho-educational groups on a variety of topics.

The Psychological, Evaluation, Research & Counseling (PERC) Clinic •

Offers psychological assessment and psychotherapy services for adults, adolescents, children and families from the community, and Hofstra students.

Houses the Parent-Children Interaction Training (PCIT) Clinic, The Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinic, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) Clinic, Family Forensic Institute, the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Clinic, the Phobia & Trauma clinic, and the Virtual Reality Laboratory The CMHP Clinic and the PERC Clinic often cross-refer.

The Speech, Language and Hearing Clinic •

Provides speech-language-hearing assessments and therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families from the community and for Hofstra University students and staff.

Provide services for patients with hearing loss (hearing aids), and for people with aphasia across the lifespan. And people with typical articulation difficulties including stuttering.

The Reading/Writing/Learning Clinic • •

Provides professional literacy evaluations and literacy support services for children, adolescents, and adults.

Has reading programs after school, on Saturday mornings, during vacations and during the summer.

Diane Lindner Goldberg Child Care Institute • Provides quality early education program for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers • The institute just received a five-year reaccreditation from NAEYC and is licensed by the NY State Office of Children and Family Services
